Nitrate radical NO32− in calcitic evaporate was discovered in Antarctica. The distribution and formation of nitrate radical NO32− in the calcite have been studied by pulse and continuous-wave electron spin resonance. In samples that had been annealed
to destroy the NO32−, regeneration of the radical by γ-rays or UV light indicated that the radical was formed by UV light (with wavelengths less
than 340 nm) from solar rays, not by environmental radiation. The nonuniform spatial distribution of the nitrate radical,
which was deduced from high ratios of local spin density to total spin density, suggests that the nitrate impurity was introduced
into the calcium carbonate after carbonate grain formation. Formation of the carbonate-containing nitrate requires the presence
of high amounts of nitrate and a dry climate. Formation of the nitrate radical requires sample exposure to UV light. These

The magnesium-butadiene 1 : 1 (1), 1 : 2 (II) and 1 : 3 addition compounds obtained by the direct metalation of butadiene with metallic magnesium were isolated. These compounds have a polymeric structure. Structural analysis of these compounds by NMR and IR methods was carried out. The process for the formation of II via I and III via II was investigated. Mechanism for polymerization of ε-caprolactam in the presence of both sodium and aluminum caprolactamate was investigated at 171°C. The role of Al(Cap)3 as an initiator was revealed. The apparent rate constant of propagation reaction decreased with the increase in the concentration of Al(Cap)3, as the two different metal salts interact even at 171°C. The activation energy of the overall polymerization reaction with this catalyst system was estimated to be 41.18 kcal/mole. 相似文献

Summary A porous polymer resin loaded with hydrous zirconium oxide (Zr-gel) was evaluated as a stationary phase for the liquid chromatographic separation of disubstituted aromatic compounds. The prepared Zr-gel was used to separate disubstituted phenols andortho-substituted benzoic acid derivatives in reversed-phase mode. The retention time of catechol was greater than those of other disubstituted phenols; this implies that the Zr-gel has specificity for the phenolic hydroxyl group. The retention behavior ofortho-substituted benzoic acid derivatives on the Zr-gel was also evaluated in reversedphase mode using buffer. Phthalic acid was specifically retained in the vicinity of pH 6.0, which has been regarded as the equal adsorbic point. Similar behavior was also observed for salicylic acid, although the retention time of salicylic acid was less than that of phthalic acid. It seems that the specific retention behavior of hydrous zirconium oxide is a result of complexation with ligands such as hydroxyl and carboxyl groups. The results of this study have revealed that the retention mechanism of hydrous zirconium oxide is a combination of ion exchange and interaction based on complexation with ligands. 相似文献

A simple method for the diastereoselective synthesis of racemic 1,2-diol mediated by low-valence niobium generated in situ is described. A 1,4-dioxane-toluene solvent system was found to be essential to achieve higher selectivities and to prevent other reactions of pinacols, such as deoxygenation and acetal formation.
