The effect of the parameters of the electric arc (helium pressure, current and voltage, clearance between electrodes) and of the peculiarities of the setup design (arrangement of electrodes, distance between the arc and the cooling surface, temperature of the soot condensation surface) on the yield of fullerenes has been studied. New radical cation salts based on 2,5-bis(1,3-dithian-2-ylidene)-1,3,4,6-tetrathiapentalene (BDA-TTP) with copper(II) metal complex anions, β-(BDA-TTP)4Cu2Cl6 and (BDA-TTP)2CuCl4, were synthesized and structurally characterized. Single crystals were prepared by electrochemical oxidation of BDA-TTP under
galvanostatic conditions. X-ray diffraction study demonstrated that the salts have a layered structure, in which the conducting
BDA-TTP layers alternate with the [Cu2Cl6]2− or [CuCl4]2− anions. Both salts show the semiconductor-type temperature dependence of the conductivity.

A neutral metal complex, [Pt(dddt)2]° (1), has been obtained by oxidation of the [Pt(dddt)2]– anion with excess (Bu4N)AuBr4 in nitrobenzene. Crystallographic data for 1a=17.854(9) Å,b=18.409(9) Å,c=4.717(5) Å, =68.83(2)°, space group P21/n,Z=4,d
calc=2.55 g/cm3. In1 two independent centrosymmetric [Pt(dddt)2]° molecules are packed in stacks that form layers parallel to the (110) plane. The molecules of1 in the layers have shortened S...S contacts 3.491(9) Å, and 3.594(10) Å. The average bond lengths Pt-S 2.242(7) Å, S-C 1.71(2) Å and C=C 1.40(3) Å, together with the square-planar coordination of Pt in PtS4, suggest considerable conjugation in the metal cycles.Translated fromIzvestiya Akademii Nauk. Separation of C60 and C70 fullerenes by HPLC was studied using sorbents synthesized by reaction of perylenedicarboxylic anhydride, dimethoxyviolanthrene,
the tetramer of chromotropic acid with formaldehyde (TCA), trinitrobenzoyl chloride, or chlorotrinitrobenzene with γ-aminopropyl
silica. These sorbents possess satisfactory chromatographic properties. The sorbent based on TCA is effective for separation
of preparative amounts of fullerenes.

The oscillatory magnetoresistance spectrum of the
organic metal (BEDO)5Ni(CN)4. 3C2H4(OH)2 has
been studied up to 50 T, in the temperature range from 1.5 K to
4.2 K. In high magnetic field, its Fermi surface corresponds to a
linear chain of quasi-two-dimensional orbits coupled by magnetic
breakdown (MB). The scattering rate consistently deduced from the
data relevant to the basic α and the MB-induced β
orbits is very large which points to a significant reduction of
the chemical potential oscillation. Despite of this feature, the
oscillations spectrum exhibits many frequency combinations. Their
effective masses and (or) Dingle temperature are not in agreement
with either the predictions of the quantum interference model or
the semiclassical model of Falicov and Stachowiak. 相似文献

Investigations of the temperature dependences of the magnetic permeability and dielectric permittivity in the temperature
range 4.2 K⩽T ⩽300 K and the field dependence of the magnetization M(B) in fields B⩽50 T show that the magnetic properties of the complex (ET)2C60 cannot be described on the basis of the standard model, which assumes that the paramagnetic oxygen impurity makes the dominant
contribution. It is found that the magnetism in (ET)2C60 is due to the diamagnetic properties of the C60 and ET molecules and to specific paramagnetic centers of the type C
60
−
, which possess an anomalously low g factor |g|≈0.14. An experimentum crucis is proposed for checking the oxygen paramagnetic center model for pure C60 films.
