This paper discusses a number of issues relating to the analysis of uncertain systems or data in the context of (low-frequency) structural dynamics. In order to illustrate potential problems in applying ‘classical’ uncertainty analysis methods to nonlinear systems, a simple nonlinear system is simulated and the breakdown of two standard approaches is demonstrated on data from the system. By relaxing the requirements of the analysis, it is shown that an alternative uncertainty theory gives useful qualitative information about the system. This motivates a discussion of how uncertainty frameworks should be chosen to suit the problem in hand and leads to a clustering of uncertainty problems in structural dynamics into three types: quantification, fusion and propagation. 相似文献

The kinetics of the reaction of aliphatic isocyanate with water were investigated with hexyl isocyanate as a model compound. The kinetic study was carried out with a titration method to determine the concentration of the isocyanate group as a function of time. Gas chromatography was used to augment the kinetic data obtained from the titration method. The effects of an organic acid [p‐toluene sulfonic acid monohydrate (p‐TSA)], a tertiary amine {diazabicyclo[2.2.2]octane (DABCO)}, and an organotin compound [dibutyltin dilaurate (DBTDL)] on the reaction were investigated for the conversion of isocyanate to a urea. Under the reaction conditions in this study, urea was the only product observed. The rate constants indicated that p‐TSA had low catalytic activity, DABCO had intermediate catalytic activity, and DBTDL had high catalytic activity. The hysteretic nonlinear dependence of pre-sliding friction force on displacement is modeled using different physics-based and black-box approaches including various Maxwell-slip models, NARX models, neural networks, nonparametric (local) models and dynamical networks. The efficiency and accuracy of these identification methods is compared for an experimental time series where the observed friction force is predicted from the measured displacement. All models, although varying in their degree of accuracy, show good prediction capability of pre-sliding friction. Finally, we show that even better results can be achieved by using an ensemble of the best models for prediction. 相似文献
