We consider diffraction by a semi-infinite crack located alonga fusion interface between two differing elastic media. Twotypes of crack, namely open and partially closed cracks, areinvestigated. An open crack is modelled by a stress-free contactboundary condition and a partially closed crack is modelledby a spring contact boundary condition. For the latter, thejump in the stress across the crack is assumed to be proportionalto the jump in the displacement across the crack. This situationarises in, for example, a K-weld where the fine grain of theparent material (for example, ferritic or forged austeniticsteel) is in stark contrast with the coarse-grained weld metal(for example, austenitic weld metal). In the metal weld thedirection of the grain axis varies through the metal. However,diffraction is a local phenomenon and so the austenitic steelis assumed to have a zonal axis so that it may be modelled bya transversely isotropic composite. The ferritic or forged austeniticsteel will be modelled as an isotropic material.  相似文献

Transition-metal-borylene complexes of the type [(OC)(5)M=BR] {M=Cr, Mo, W; R=N(SiMe(3))(2), 1a-3a, Si(SiMe(3))(3), 4a} and [(OC)(4)Fe=B=N(SiMe(3))(2)] (8) were prepared by salt elimination reactions. Synthesis of the latter complex was accompanied by the formation of substantial amounts of an unusual dinuclear iron complex [Fe(2){mu-C(2)O(2)(BN(SiMe(3))(2))}(2)(CO)(6)] (9). The aminoborylene complexes of Group 6 metals were converted to trans-[(Cy(3)P)(CO)(4)M=B=N(SiMe(3))(2)] (5a-7a) by irradiation in the presence of PCy(3). Structural and spectroscopic parameters were discussed with respect to the trans-effect of the borylene ligand and the degree of M-B d(pi)-p(pi)-backbonding. Computational studies were performed on Group 6-borylene complexes. The population and topological analyses as well as the molecular orbital composition are consistent with the presence of both sigma-and pi-type interactions. There are, however, indications that the d(pi)-p(pi)-backbonding in the silylborylene complex is significantly more pronounced than in the aminoborylene complexes.  相似文献

Reaction between Os(CO)2(PPh3)3 and Me3SnH produces Os(SnMe3)H(CO)2(PPh3)2 (1). Multinuclear NMR studies of solutions of 1 reveal the presence of four geometrical isomers, the major one being that with mutually cis triphenylphosphine ligands and mutually trans CO ligands. Os(SnMe3)H(CO)2(PPh3)2 undergoes a redistribution reaction, at the trimethylstannyl ligand, when treated with Me2SnCl2 giving Os(SnMe2Cl)H(CO)2(PPh3)2 (2). Solutions of 2 again show the presence of four isomers but now the major isomer is that with mutually trans triphenylphosphine ligands and mutually cis CO ligands. The redistribution reaction of 1 with SnI4 produces Os(SnMeI2)H(CO)2(PPh3)2 (3) which exists in solution as only one isomer, that with mutually trans triphenylphosphine ligands and mutually trans CO ligands. Treatment of 3 with I2 cleaves the Os-H bond with retention of geometry giving Os(SnMeI2)I(CO)2(PPh3)2 (4). The crystal structure of 4 has been determined. No isomerization of the trans dicarbonyl complex 4 occurs when 4 is heated, instead there is a formal loss of “MeSnI” and formation of OsI2(CO)2(PPh3)2 (5).  相似文献
