Reactions of salicylaldehydes with boronate ester derivatives of aniline have been examined. Addition of these Schiff base ligands to palladium acetate or Na2PdCl4 afforded novel boron-containing trans-bis(N-arylsalicylaldiminato) palladium complexes.Condensation of salicylaldehyde (2-HOC6H4C(O)H) with H2NC6H4Bpin (pin=1,2-O2C2Me4) afforded the boron-containing Schiff bases, 2-HOC6H4C(H)=NC6H4Bpin (1–3a). Similar reactivity with 2-hydroxy-5-nitrobenzaldehyde and 2-hydroxy-1-naphthaldehyde gave the corresponding Schiff bases (1-3b) and (1-3c), respectively. Reaction of Schiff bases (2) and (3) with palladium acetate or Na2PdCl4 afforded complexes of the type PdL2 (4,5), where L=deprotonated Schiff base. The molecular structure of the nitro-salicylaldehyde 4-Bpin palladium complex (5b) was characterized by an X-ray diffraction study. All new palladium compounds have been characterized fully and tested for their antifungal activity against Aspergillus niger and Aspergillus flavus.  相似文献

Addition of pinacolborane (HBO2C2Me4) to 2-iodoaniline can be catalyzed using a number of palladium complexes, including [(t-Bu)2PCl]2PdCl2 (PXPd), to give the corresponding boronate ester 2-H2NC6H4(BO2C2Me4) in excellent yields. The PXPd system could also be used in the catalyzed borylation of substituted anilines to give the corresponding aminoboronate esters in moderate to high yields.   相似文献

The measurement of cytochrome P450 (CYP450) isoenzyme inhibition is often done during evaluation of new chemical entities in drug discovery. Typical assay protocol consists of multiple CYP450 probe substrates incubated with selected drug candidates and CYP450. Results of the assay, the amount of probe substrate metabolite formed with respect to control, are used to determine the level of interaction. Liquid chromatography utilizing columns packed with sub-2-micron particles have been shown to provide up to 8X faster analysis time and 3X increases in sensitivity over traditional high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). The work presented here shows the development of a high-throughput, sub-2-micron particle LC method coupled with tandem quadrupole mass spectrometry for the rapid analysis of six CYP450 probe substrate metabolites in 30s.  相似文献

Density-functional theory was used to study the properties (binding geometries and affinities for the natural DNA bases) of various degenerate nucleobases, which bind without discrimination to the purines or pyrimidines. The data for purine mimics (Z and K) indicates that although stronger binding strengths are calculated for pairs with cytosine compared with thymine, cytosine binds to a less stable tautomer of the nucleobase mimic. Indeed, the energy differences between the binding strengths and the tautomers effectively cancel and thereby provide a possible explanation for the observed degenerate properties of these molecules. Similar trends are found for the pyrimidine mimics (M and P); however, the energy differences do not cancel, even upon inclusion of environmental effects.  相似文献

The facile decomposition of methyl chlorodifluoroacetate, induced by either lithium chloride/hexamethylphosphoric triamide complex or potassium fluoride/18-Crown-6 complex, has been carried out in the presence of a variety of olefinic substrates to yield the corresponding gem-difluorocyclopropanes. The ester decomposition has been determined to yield “free” difluorocarbene via a three-step process involving an intermediate chlorodifluoromethide ion.  相似文献

Pyridinecarboxaldimines (N–N′) derived from pyridin-2-ylcarboxaldehydes and unsaturated amines add to [PdCl2(coe)]2 (coe = cis-cyclooctene) to give complexes of the type PdCl2(N–N′) in moderate yields. The palladium complexes have been investigated as substrates for hydroboration reactions and as antifungal agents against Aspergillus niger, A. flavus, Candida albicans, and Saccharomyces cerevisiae.  相似文献

T1rho-weighted MRI is a novel basis for generating tissue contrast. However, it suffers from sensitivity to B1 inhomogeneity. First, excitation with a spatially varying B1 causes flip-angle artifacts and second, spin locking with an inhomogeneous B1 results in non-uniform T1rho contrast. In this study, we overcome the former complication with a specially designed spin-locking pulse sequence and we successfully obtain T1rho-weighted images with a surface coil. In this pulse sequence, the spin-lock pulse was divided into segments of equal duration and alternating phase. This "self-compensating" T1rho-preparatory pulse sequence was analyzed and the effect of an inhomogeneous B1 field was simulated using the Bloch equations. T1rho-weighted MR images of a phantom and a human knee joint in vivo were obtained on a clinical scanner with a surface coil to demonstrate the utility of the pulse sequence. The self-compensating T1rho-prepared pulses sequence resulted in substantially reduced image artifacts compared to the conventional, single-phase spin-lock pulse.  相似文献

Many published influenza models treat each simulation day as a weekday and do not distinguish weekend days. Consequently, the weekend effect on influenza transmission has not been fully explored. To assess whether distinguishing between weekday and weekend transmissions in simulation models of flu-like infectious disease models matters, this study uses an agent-based model of the Chicago, Illinois metropolitan area. Our study assesses whether including weekend effects is offset by increases in weekend contact patterns and if implementing 3-day weekends dampens disease transmission enough to warrant its use as a containment strategy. Results indicate that ignoring weekend behaviors without incorporating increases in community-based non-school contacts (i.e., compensatory behaviors) causes the peak case incidence day to occur 7 days earlier and can reduce the peak attack rate by as much as 60 %. These results are sensitive to the proportion of symptomatic cases that are assumed to remain at home until they recover. The 3-day weekend intervention has interesting possibilities, but the benefits may only be effective for mild epidemics. However, a 3-day weekend for schools would be less detrimental to the educational process than sustained permanent closing because student and teacher contact is maintained throughout the epidemic period. Also, a 4-day school and work week may be more easily accommodated by many types of schools and businesses. On the other hand, an additional day per week of school closure could result in substantial societal costs, with lost productivity and child care costs outweighing the savings of preventing influenza cases.  相似文献
