Plasmon Coupling-Induced Hot Electrons for Photocatalytic Hydrogen Generation

We present the fabrication of core-shell-satellite Au@SiO₂-Pt nanostructures and demonstrate that LSPR excitation of the core Au nanoparticle can induce plasmon coupling effect to initiate photocatalytic hydrogen generation from decomposition of formic acid. Further studies suggest that the plasmon coupling effect induces a strong local electric field between the Au core and Pt nanoparticles on the SiO₂ shell, which enables creation of hot electrons on the non-plasmonic-active Pt nanoparticles to participate hydrogen evolution reaction on the Pt surface. In addition, small SiO₂ shell thickness is required in order to obtain a strong plamon coupling effect and achieve efficient photocatalytic activities for hydrogen generation.     

准直孔法改善束流品质初探

本文提出了用准直孔结合调节束流导引磁场获得较好品质强流电子束的方法,运用该方法在1.5MeV直线感应加速器(LIA)进行了试验,结果准直束流前后沿明显减小,束亮度提高几倍;同时,用此方法测出了束密度及束亮度的径向分布.     

LaNi4Fe催化合成氨反应性能的研究

用冶金法、还原扩散法、共沉淀法制得了LaNiFe,并对其催化合成氨反应性能进行了研究。实验结果表明:还原扩散法,共沉淀法制得的LaNi_4Fe催化活性均比冶金法好。X—射线分析指出LaNi_4Fe在合成氨反应过程中变为Ni_4Fe和LaN。     

Brnsted酸性离子液体催化醛(酮)与二元醇的缩合反应

研究了以Bro¨nsted酸性离子液体1-正丁基-3-甲基咪唑磷酸二氢盐(BMImH2PO4)为催化剂,在不使用其它有机溶剂且无需脱水的条件下,于室温下进行醛(酮)与二元醇的缩合反应,得到了由中至高的转化率和高选择性.产物1,3-二口恶戊烷可以和反应物自动分层,后处理操作简单.过量的醇与离子液体可以多次重复使用,且醛(酮)的转化率无明显降低.     

First total synthesis of leucamide A

The first total synthesis of marine bioactive cyclic heptapeptide Leucamide A has been accomplished, including a simple method for construction of the 4,2-bisheterocycle tandem pair substructure that employs a DAST-mediated cyclization of beta-hydroxy amide and final HBTU-promoted ring closing.     

Spontaneous fractal aggregation of gold nanoparticles and controlled generation of aggregate-based fractal networks at air/water interface

The spontaneous fractal aggregation of as-prepared cetytrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB)-capped gold nanoparticles was found to happen at the air/water interface after spreading their chloroform solution on water surfaces. Aided by Langmuir-Blodgett techniques, these fractal aggregates can be interconnected with each other to form aggregate-based fractal networks.     

Uric acid quantification in fingernail of gout patients and healthy volunteers using HPLC‐UV

The presence of elevated uric acid (UA) levels is a sign of gout, that is, hyperuricemia. In this study the monitoring of the UA levels in less‐invasive biological samples, such as the human fingernail, is suggested for the diagnosis and therapy of gout. Twenty‐six healthy volunteers (HV) and 22 gout patients (GP) were studied. The UA was extracted from human fingernail samples, then separated on an Inertsil ODS‐3 column (250 × 4.6 mm i.d., 4.0 μm, GL Sciences) by isocratic elution using methanol–74 mm phosphate buffer (pH 2.2) 2:98 (v/v). A UV detector was used to monitor the samples at 284 nm. Using the developed method, different UA concentrations were found in the GP and HV. When comparing the concentrations from GP with those from HV, a statistically significant correlation was observed between the UA (p < 0.01). In this study, the UA was confirmed as a potential biomarker for the diagnosis and therapy of gout. We have developed a novel sensitive, and simple method for the determination of UA in the fingernails of GP and HV. Synthesis,Structure, Photophysical Properties,and Photostability of Benzodipyrenes

This work explores the syntheses, structures, photophysical properties, and photostability of benzodipyrenes (BDPs). BDPs were synthesized through an InCl₃-AgNTf₂-catalyzed, four-fold alkyne benzannulation reaction. The structures of BDP 4 a and its corresponding endoperoxide product were unambiguously confirmed by X-ray crystallography. The BDPs reported here can also be recognized as peri- and cata-benzannulated pentacenes with a non-functionalized central ring. Unlike the previous reported pentacene-based polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, the absorbances of the BDPs were blueshifted by ca. 40 nm relative to pentacene, even after extension of π-conjugation. The newly synthesized BDP products exhibit relatively good stability with half-lives as high as 4612 min in THF.     

Terpenoids from Loxocalyx urticifolius

Two new diterpenoids, loxocalyxin A ( 1 ) and 13‐epiloxocalyxin A ( 2 ), and two new sesquiterpenoids, loxocalyxins B and C ( 3 and 4 , resp.), together with three known compounds, were isolated from the MeOH extract of the whole plant of Loxocalyx urticifolius Hemsl . The structures of the new compounds were established by means of spectroscopic analysis including one‐ and two‐dimensional NMR spectroscopy. All new structures were confirmed by X‐ray crystallographic analysis. Their absolute configurations were established.
