This Letter describes glycosylation of 4-Nerolidylcatechol (4-NRC) the major secondary metabolite from Pothomorphe peltata and Pothomorphe umbellata showing remarkable antioxidant, antimalarial, anti-inflammatory, and anti-HIV activities. One step biosynthesis was catalyzed by Cunninghamella echinulata ATCC 9245 and the reaction was undertaken in PDSM medium at 27 °C, 200 rpm for 96 h. After purification by silica gel flash column chromatography the 4-NRC β-glycoside was identified by ultrahigh resolution mass spectrometry and 1H NMR. The antioxidant activity was evaluated by differential pulse voltammetry.  相似文献

A clean, efficient and facile one-pot protocol was developed for the synthesis of a series of new aminonaphthoquinones derived from 2-hydroxy-1,4-naphthoquinone (lawsone) by three-component Mannich reaction using catalytic amount of p-TsOH in CH3CN, at room temperature. At the present work, we improved the yield and significantly reduced the reaction time for several Mannich reactions with different amine and aromatic aldehydes using a non-expensive, mild catalyst and suitable solvent.  相似文献

Matrix-assisted laser desorption ionization mass spectrometry (MALDI-MS) has been shown to provide a valuable technique to study the thermomechanical degradation of poly(ethylene terephthalate) (PET). MALDI-MS has been tested to monitor both the admixture of post-consumption bottle-grade PET (PETpc-btg) with virgin bottle-grade PET (PETv-btg) and the thermomechanical degradation effects on the chemical properties of PETv-btg. Principal component analysis of MALDI-MS data classify the samples into groups with specific features: a) PET-btg with intrinsic viscosities of 0.80 or 0.65-0.60 dL g−1); b) processed or virgin PET with the same intrinsic viscosity; c) PETv-btg from PET containing PETpc-btg; and d) PETv-btg from different manufacturers. MALDI-MS data is therefore able to reveal the quality of PET-btg resins preventing frauds and illegal use of recycled PET-btg.  相似文献

We solve the model for the flow of nitrogen, vapor, and water in a porous medium, neglecting compressibility, heat conductivity, and capillary effects. Our choice of injection conditions is determined by the application to clean up polluted sites. We study all mathematical structures, such as rarefaction, shock waves, and their bifurcations; we also develop a systematic method to find fundamental solutions for thermal compositional flows in porous media. In addition, we unexpectedly find a rarefaction evaporation wave which has not been previously reported in any other study.  相似文献

Atmospheric solids analysis probe mass spectrometry (ASAP-MS) is a powerful tool for analysis of solid and liquid samples. It is an excellent alternative for crude oil analysis without any sample preparation step. Here, ASAP-MS in positive ion mode, ASAP(+)-MS, has been optimized for analysis of condensed aromatics (CA) standards, crude oil, and paraffinic fraction samples using a Synapt G2-S HDMS. Initially, two methodologies were used to access the chemical composition of samples: (1) using a temperature gradient varying from 150 to 600 °C at a heating rate of 150 °C min–1, and (2) with constant temperature of 300 and 400 °C. ASAP(+)-MS ionized many compounds with a typical petroleum profile, showing a greater signals range of m/z 250–1300 and 200–1400 for crude oil and paraffin samples, respectively. Such performance, mainly related to the detection of high molecular weight compounds (>1000 Da), is superior to that of other traditional ionization sources, such as ESI, APCI, DART, and DESI. Additionally, the CA standards were identified in both forms: radicals, [M]+?, and protonated cations, [M + H]+, with minimum fragmentation. Therefore, ASAP was more efficient in accessing the chemical composition of nonpolar and polar compounds. It is promising in its application with ultrahigh resolution MS instruments, such as FT-ICR MS and Orbitrap, since molecular formulas with greater resolution and mass accuracy (<1 ppm) would be assigned.

The carbon oxidation reaction (COR) is a critical issue in proton-exchange membrane fuel cells (PEMFCs), as carbon in various forms is the most used electrocatalyst support material. The COR is thermodynamically possible above the C/CO2 standard potential, but its rate becomes significantly important only at high overpotential (e. g. PEMFC cathode potential). Herein, using on-line differential electrochemical mass spectrometry, we show that oxygen-containing carbon surface groups present on high-surface aera carbon, Vulcan XC72 or reinforced graphite are oxidized at PEMFC anode-relevant potential (E=0.1 V vs. the reversible hydrogen electrode, RHE), but not at E=0.4 V vs. RHE. We rationalized our findings by considering a Pt-catalysed decarboxylation mechanism in which Pt nanoparticles provide adsorbed hydrogen species to the oxygen-containing carbon surface groups, eventually leading to evolution of carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide. These results shed fundamental light on an unexpected degradation mechanism and facilitate the understanding of the long-term stability of PEMFC anode nanocatalysts.  相似文献

1H NMR and MALDI-TOF MS measurements were used to study the thermo-mechanical and thermo-oxidative degradation mechanisms of bottle-grade PET (btg-PET). In the thermo-oxidative degradation, the concentration of low molar mass compounds increased with time and the main products were cyclic and linear di-acid oligomers. In the thermo-mechanical degradation, the main-chain scission reactions affect the stability of the cyclic oligomers. One of the most important bottle-grade PET co-monomers is diethylene glycol (DEG), which is a “reactive site” in the thermal degradation of btg-PET. The DEG co-monomer was shown to be the precursor to colour changes in btg-PET, owing to the attack by molecular oxygen on the methylenic protons adjacent to the ether oxygen atoms of DEG. This behaviour was observed in the thermo-oxidative degradation process in which the degradation of DEG causes the release of hydroxyl radicals in the polymeric matrix, thereby producing mono- and di-hydroxyl substituted species. This was also observed in the thermo-mechanical degradation process.  相似文献

The influence of temperature (110 and 120 °C) on the ageing of piping made from polyamide 11 (PA‐11) containing 10–12% of plasticizer was studied using deionized water (pH ≈ 7.0). A clean analytical methodology has been employed for quality control of polymeric materials: energy‐dispersive X‐ray fluorescence spectrometry (ED‐XRF). It provides a fast and suitable technique to characterize chemical elements because of its multielemental capability, good sensitivity, high precision, short analytical time, and nondestructive nature. Herein, the content of additive in PA‐11 was monitored from ED‐XRF measurements where the abundance of the S line is directly related to the ageing time, agreeing with the thermogravimetric analysis. The XRF data were allied to chemometric treatment to classify PA‐11 samples according to the amount of additive and weight average molar mass change, predicting the ageing time, and viscosity values of PA‐11. Therefore, the XRF can be used as a clean analytical methodology to monitor the PA‐11 degradation, thus eliminating the use of toxic organic solvents (necessary to viscosity measurements) and reducing the working time. Also, the effect of hydrolysis on the structure over time and the material morphology were monitored through measurements of dynamic mechanical analysis and differential scanning calorimetry.
