New and chemoselective gold(I)‐catalyzed transformations of 1‐(arylethynyl)‐7‐oxabicyclo[4.1.0]‐ heptan‐2‐ones were developed. Two completely different products—6,7‐dihydrobenzofuran‐4(5H)‐ones and benzofurans—could be obtained from the same starting material. The selectivity is determined by the ligand of the gold catalyst: triphenylphosphine delivers 6,7‐dihydrobenzofuran‐4(5H)‐ones, and 1,3‐bis(diisopropylphenyl)imidazol‐2‐ylidene leads to benzofurans. Eleven examples of each case are provided. The mechanistic suggestions for the pathways to both product types are supported by isotope labeling experiments.  相似文献

A series of dinuclear gold σ,π‐propyne acetylide complexes were prepared and tested for their catalytic ability in dual gold catalysis that was based on the reaction of an electrophilic π‐complex of gold with a gold acetylide. The air‐stable and storable catalysts can be isolated as silver‐free catalysts in their activated form. These dual catalysts allow a fast initiation phase for the dual catalytic cycles without the need for additional additives for acetylide formation. Because propyne serves as a throw‐away ligand, no traces of the precatalyst are generated. Based on the fast initiation process, side products are minimized and reaction rates are higher for these catalysts. A series of test reactions were used to demonstrate the general applicability of these catalysts. Lower catalyst loadings, faster reaction rates, and better selectivity, combined with the practicability of these catalysts, make them ideal catalysts for dual gold catalysis.  相似文献

This study examines the difficulties college students experience when creating and interpreting graphs in which speed is one of the variables. Nineteen students, all preservice elementary or middle school teachers, completed an upper‐level course exploring algebraic concepts. Although all of these preservice teachers had previously completed several mathematics courses, including calculus, they demonstrated widespread misconceptions about the variable speed. This study identifies four cognitive obstacles held by the students, provides excerpts of their graphical constructions and verbal interpretations, and discusses potential causes for the confusion. In particular, misconceptions arose when students interpreted the behavior and nature of speed within a graphical context, as well as in situations where they were required to construct a graph involving speed as a variable. The study concludes by offering implications for the teaching and learning of speed and its interpretation within a graphical setting.  相似文献

Fast atom bombardment, combined with high-energy collision-induced tandem mass spectrometry, has been used to investigate gas-phase metal-ion interactions with captopril, enalaprilat and lisinopril, all angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors.Suggestions for the location of metal-binding sites are presented. For captopril, metal binding occurs most likely at both the sulphur and the nitrogen atom. For enalaprilat and lisinopril, binding preferably occurs at the amine nitrogen. This paper describes a rapid technique for reconstruction of the internal area function of a duct using blockage-induced eigenvalue shifts determined from eigenfrequencies measured under two sets of duct termination boundary conditions. A single broad band maximum length sequence (MLS) measurement of short duration is utilized to obtain the transfer function of the duct, which in turn can be utilized to determine its eigenvalue shifts and subsequently its internal area function using an inverse perturbation technique. The reconstruction results display the same order of accuracy as those obtained previously using swept sine measurements of extended duration. An expression for the determination of the area function is presented utilizing resonant frequency information alone, thus rendering duct length determination unnecessary. A computational routine further simplifies the process such that the accuracy of the technique could be ascertained for a range of configurations including longer ducts and ducts that initially have nonuniform internal cross section over their length. Development of a relationship between obstacle length and wavelength of the lowest eigenfrequency required for successful reconstruction is also described. This is an important result for longer ducts where measurement of lower eigenfrequencies may present problems using standard measurement equipment.  相似文献

The reduction of 2-chloro-N-phenylpropanamide with LiAlH(4) has been re-examined. In contrast to previous findings, we obtain in almost equal quantities two amines from this reaction, namely N-propylaniline and the rearranged product N-isopropylaniline. 2-Methyl-N-phenylaziridine is an intermediate in the reduction and can be isolated from reactions with less LiAlH(4). Reduction of 2-methyl-N-phenylaziridine itself proceeds non-regioselectively to provide a mixture of propyl- and isopropylanilines. Formation of the amines by reduction of the aziridine is much slower than formation by reduction of the 2-chloropropanamide, which indicates that Lewis acid catalysis (by aluminium chlorohydrides) facilitates the reduction of the aziridine. In addition, Lewis acid catalysis increases the relative yield of the propylamine product. The reduction of 2-chloro-N-phenylpropanamide furnishes 2-phenylamino-1-propanol as a by-product, rather than the previously proposed 1-phenylamino-2-propanol.  相似文献

We present an optimized genetic algorithm used in conjunction with density-functional theory in the search for stable gold clusters and O2 adsorption ensembles in F centers at MgO(100). For Au8 the method recovers known structures and identifies several more stable ones. When O2 adsorption is investigated, the genetic algorithm is used to imitate structural fluxionality, increasing the O2 bond strength by up to 1 eV. Extending the method to Au(6,10,12), strong O2 adsorption configurations are found for all sizes. However, the effect of fluxionality appears to wear off with increasing cluster size.  相似文献

The extraction behavior of Nd(III) and Eu(III) with 0.05 mol dm−3 furosemide in benzyl alcohol as single acidic extractant and then with equimolar (0.05 mol dm−3) synergic mixture of furosemide as acidic extractant and tribenzylamine as neutral donor in benzyl alcohol has been studied from aqueous solutions of pH 1 to 6. The effect of various parameters and of various cations and anions on the extraction of these metal ions was investigated. The composition of the extracted adducts was determined by slope analysis method that came out to be [(M(FS)2)+ (CH3COO)] and [M(FS)3·3TBA] where M = Nd(III) and Eu(III).

Understanding the adsorption and mobility of metal-organic framework (MOF)-supported metal nanoclusters is critical to the development of these catalytic materials. We present the first theoretical investigation of Au-, Pd-, and AuPd-supported clusters in a MOF, namely MOF-74. We combine density functional theory (DFT) calculations with a genetic algorithm (GA) to reliably predict the structure of the adsorbed clusters. This approach allows comparison of hundreds of adsorbed configurations for each cluster. From the investigation of Au(8), Pd(8), and Au(4)Pd(4) we find that the organic part of the MOF is just as important for nanocluster adsorption as open Zn or Mg metal sites. Using the large number of clusters generated by the GA, we developed a systematic method for predicting the mobility of adsorbed clusters. Through the investigation of diffusion paths a relationship between the cluster's adsorption energy and diffusion barrier is established, confirming that Au clusters are highly mobile in the MOF-74 framework and Pd clusters are less mobile.  相似文献
