The composition analysis of YBa2Cu3O7-δ or PrBa2Cu3O7-δ thin films and (YBa2Cu3O7-δ/PrBa2Cu3O7-δ)n heterostructures prepared by CVD

Some YBa₂Cu₃O_7-δ films and heterostructures prepared by Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD) were analyzed in our laboratories by EPMA-EDX or WDX, RBS, SNMS and AES. It was found that in some cases the results of composition analysis can significantly deviate from each other. At least two main reasons for these deviations exist: the different lateral resolution and the application of different reference samples for the calibration. Composition of vanadium carbides formed by solidification in ternary Fe-V-C alloys

The solidification behaviour of Fe-V-C alloys, was studied by differential thermal analysis. The composition and the nature of the phases were analysed by quantitative electron probe microanalysis and X-ray diffraction. Accurate microanalysis of carbon in vanadium carbides (VC_x and V₂C) were performed. A liquidus projection of the system Fe-V-C in the Fe-V rich region was proposed.     

Conservative methods for the Toda lattice equations

We are concerned with the numerical integration of the Todalattice equations by using different conservative methods. Numericalexperiments suggest that the global error for isospectral schemesdecreases exponentially with time but it is almost constantfor either symplectic or more general integrators. We providea theoretical explanation for these experimental findings.
