The Schiff base N,N'-ethylenebis(pyridoxylideneiminato) (H(2)pyr(2)en, 1) was synthesized by reaction of pyridoxal with ethylenediamine; reduction of H(2)pyr(2)en with NaBH(4) yielded the reduced Schiff base N,N'-ethylenebis(pyridoxylaminato) (H(2)Rpyr(2)en, 2); their crystal structures were determined by X-ray diffraction. The totally protonated forms of 1 and 2 correspond to H(6)L(4+), and all protonation constants were determined by pH-potentiometric and (1)H NMR titrations. Several vanadium(IV) and vanadium(V) complexes of these and other related ligands were prepared and characterized in solution and in the solid state. The X-ray crystal structure of [V(V)O(2)(HRpyr(2)en)] shows the metal in a distorted octahedral geometry, with the ligand coordinated through the N-amine and O-phenolato moieties, with one of the pyridine-N atoms protonated. Crystals of [(V(V)O(2))(2)(pyren)(2)].2 H(2)O were obtained from solutions containing H(2)pyr(2)en and oxovanadium(IV), where Hpyren is the "half" Schiff base of pyridoxal and ethylenediamine. The complexation of V(IV)O(2+) and V(V)O(2) (+) with H(2)pyr(2)en, H(2)Rpyr(2)en and pyridoxamine in aqueous solution were studied by pH-potentiometry, UV/Vis absorption spectrophotometry, as well as by EPR spectroscopy for the V(IV)O systems and (1)H and (51)V NMR spectroscopy for the V(V)O(2) systems. Very significant differences in the metal-binding abilities of the ligands were found. Both 1 and 2 act as tetradentate ligands. H(2)Rpyr(2)en is stable to hydrolysis and several isomers form in solution, namely cis-trans type complexes with V(IV)O, and alpha-cis- and beta-cis-type complexes with V(V)O(2). The pyridinium-N atoms of the pyridoxal rings do not take part in the coordination but are involved in acid-base reactions that affect the number, type, and relative amount of the isomers of the V(IV)O-H(2)Rpyr(2)en and V(V)O(2)-H(2)Rpyr(2)en complexes present in solution. DFT calculations were carried out and support the formation and identification of the isomers detected by EPR or NMR spectroscopy, and the strong equatorial and axial binding of the O-phenolato in V(IV)O and V(V)O(2) complexes. Moreover, the DFT calculations done for the [V(IV)O(H(2)Rpyr(2)en)] system indicate that for almost all complexes the presence of a sixth equatorial or axial H(2)O ligand leads to much more stable compounds.  相似文献

Three new psychollatine-derived monoterpene indole alkaloids were obtained from Psychotria umbellata Thonn.: 3,4-Dehydro-18,19-β-epoxy-psychollatine (2), N4-[1-((R)-2-hydroxypropyl)]-psychollatine (3), and N4-[1-((S)-2-hydroxypropyl)]-psychollatine (4). Their structures were determined by 1H and 13C NMR spectra, 2D correlations (COSY, HMQC, and HMBC), and mass and UV spectra. Compounds 3 and 4 were synthesized for structural confirmation and for the determination of the stereochemistry of the hydroxyl group.  相似文献

The new bis-iminopyrrolyl five-coordinate Co(II) complexes [Co(kappa (2) N, N'-NC 4H 3C(R)N-2,6- (i)Pr 2C 6H 3) 2(PMe 3)] (R = H 3a; Me 3b) were synthesized in high yields (ca. 80-90%), using THF and diethyl ether as solvents, respectively, by (a) treatment of CoCl 2(PMe 3) 2 with the corresponding iminopyrrolyl Na salts ( Ie or If) or (b) reaction of anhydrous CoCl 2 and PMe 3 with Ie or If. A third route was tested, involving the addition of excesses of PMe 3 to the complexes [Co(kappa (2) N, N'-NC 4H 3C(R)N-2,6- (i)Pr 2C 6H 3) 2] (R = H 1e; Me 1f), which was only successful for the synthesis of 3a, in lower yields (ca. 30%). The synthesis of 3b in THF was unfruitful because of the kinetic competition of the solvent, giving rise to mixtures of 1f and its coordinated THF adduct 4b. The synthesis of the new bis-iminopyrrolyl five-coordinate Co(II) complexes [Co(kappa (2) N, N'-NC 4H 3C(R)N-2,6- (i)Pr 2C 6H 3) 2(THF)] (R = H 4a; Me 4b) were carried out in high yields (ca. 80-90%) by the reaction of CoCl 2(THF) 1.5 with the corresponding iminopyrrolyl Na salt. All the compounds have been characterized by X-ray diffraction, with 3a and 3b showing axially compressed trigonal bipyramidal geometry (with the PMe 3 ligand lying on the equatorial plane), whereas complexes 4a and 4b exhibit distorted square pyramidal geometries with the THF molecule occupying the axial position. Complex 4a shows clearly a compressed geometry, but for complex 4b, two polymorphs were characterized, exhibiting molecules with different Co-O (THF) bond lengths, one of them being compatible with an elongated form. Magnetic measurements either in the solid or in the liquid phases indicate that complexes 3a and 3b have low-spin ground states ( S = 1/2). In toluene solution, the geometry is fully confirmed by EPR data, which further indicates a d x (2) - y (2) /d xy ground state. However, compounds 4a and 4b behave unusually because they show magnetic moments that are compatible with high-spin ground states ( S = 3/2) in the solid state, but conform to low-spin ground states ( S = 1/2) when both complexes are dissolved in toluene solutions. The low-spin ground states in toluene solution are confirmed by EPR spectroscopy, which further supports, for complexes 4a and 4b, an axially elongated square pyramidal geometry and a d z (2) ground state. Thus the change in the ground-state and, consequently, in the geometry of complexes 4a and 4b from solid state to toluene solution might be a consequence of the elongation of the Co-O(THF) bond length. DFT studies performed on complexes 3 and 4 corroborate their different structure and magnetic behaviors and verify, for the latter complexes, the structural differences observed in the solid state and in toluene solution.  相似文献

Hirshfeld surfaces and two‐dimensional fingerprint plots are used to analyse the intermolecular interactions in two new phosphorothioic triamide structures, namely N,N′,N′′‐tris(3,4‐dimethylphenyl)phosphorothioic triamide acetonitrile hemisolvate, P(S)[NHC6H3‐3,4‐(CH3)2]3·0.5CH3CN or C24H30N3PS·0.5CH3CN, (I), and N,N′,N′′‐tris(4‐methylphenyl)phosphorothioic triamide–3‐methylpiperidinium chloride (1/1), P(S)[NHC6H4(4‐CH3)]3·[3‐CH3‐C5H9NH2]+·Cl or C21H24N3PS·C6H14N+·Cl, (II). The asymmetric unit of (I) consists of two independent phosphorothioic triamide molecules and one acetonitrile solvent molecule, whereas for (II), the asymmetric unit is composed of three components (molecule, cation and anion). In the structure of (I), the different components are organized into a six‐molecule aggregate through N—H...S and N—H...N hydrogen bonds. The components of (II) are aggregated into a two‐dimensional array through N—H...S and N—H...Cl hydrogen bonds. Moreover, interesting features of packing arise in this structure due to the presence of a double hydrogen‐bond acceptor (the S atom of the phosphorothioic triamide molecule) and of a double hydrogen‐bond donor (the N—H unit of the cation). For both (I) and (II), the full fingerprint plot of each component is asymmetric as a consequence of the presence of three fragments. These analyses reveal that H...H interactions [67.7 and 64.3% for the two symmetry‐independent phosphorothioic triamide molecules of (I), 30.7% for the acetonitrile solvent of (I), 63.8% in the phosphorothioic triamide molecule of (II) and 62.9% in the 3‐methylpiperidinium cation of (II)] outnumber the other contacts for all the components in both structures, except for the chloride anion of (II), which only receives the Cl...H contact. The phosphorothioic triamide molecules of both structures include unsaturated C atoms, thus presenting C...H/H...C interactions: 17.6 and 21% for the two symmetry‐independent phosphorothioic triamide molecules in (I), and 22.7% for the phosphorothioic triamide molecule of (II). Furthermore, the N—H...S hydrogen bonds in both (I) and (II), and the N—H...Cl hydrogen bonds in (II), are the most prominent interactions, appearing as large red spots on the Hirshfeld surface maps. The N...H/H...N contacts in structure (I) are considerable, whereas for (II), they give a negligible contribution to the total interactions in the system.  相似文献

The study on reactivity of several α-substituted α-sulfonyl malonates toward 1,4-diazabicyclo[2.2.2]octane (DABCO) and Bu3N is described. The reactivity with DABCO revealed the possible competition between decarbalkoxylation and unexpected desulfonylation, depending on the α-substituent, because of sterical hindrance around the electrophilic centers (SO2 and CO2R). The derivatives with crowded α-substituents suffer selective desulfonylation, and a novel and efficient desulfonylation method can be proposed. The dependence of the reactivity of α-sulfonyl malonates on the sterical hindrance around the electrophilic centers is confirmed by conformational analysis (Macromodel/MM2? and Mopac/MP3). The carbanionic mechanism is proved because the corresponding protonated, deuterated, and sulfenylated products were obtained by addition of the corresponding electrophilic agents. Bu3N showed itself to be a novel selective decarbalkoxylation agent for any α-substituted α-sulfonyl malonate.  相似文献

Growth hormone (GH) plays an incompletely understood role in the development of the central nervous system (CNS). In this study, we use transgenic mice expressing a growth hormone antagonist (GHA) to explore the role of GH in regulating postnatal brain, spinal cord and body growth into adulthood. We present the search for a new model of -factor XIIa, a blood coagulation enzyme, with an unknown experimental 3D-structure. We decided to build not one but three different models using different homologous proteins as well as different techniques and different modellers. Additional studies, including extensive molecular dynamics simulations on the solvated state, allowed us to draw several conclusions concerning homology modelling, in general, and -factor XIIa, in particular.  相似文献

An efficient health monitoring system for damage detection in civil engineering structures using on-line monitoring data is being developed to identify any possible damage in short time. The present work is based on the treatment of uncertainties, which is one of the basic common difficulties faced when modelling structures. A methodology, based on interval analysis (IA) theory [R.E. Moore, Interval Analysis, Prentice-Hall, Englewood Cliffs, NJ, 1966] applied to a numerical constraint satisfaction problem (CSP) [J.R. Casas, J.C. Matos, J.A. Figueiras, J. Vehí, O. García, P. Herrero, Bridge monitoring and assessment under uncertainty via interval analysis, in: Ninth International Conference On Structural Safety And Reliability—ICOSSAR2005, 2005. pp. 487–494], is implemented in the damage detection [J.R. Casas, J.C. Matos, J.A. Figueiras, J. Vehí, O. García, P. Herrero, Bridge monitoring and assessment under uncertainty via interval analysis, in: Ninth International Conference On Structural Safety And Reliability—ICOSSAR2005, 2005. pp. 487–494] and modelling system of a long-term monitoring project in order to achieve such an objective. Let X n , n ≥ 1, be a strictly stationary associated sequence of random variables, with common continuous distribution function F. Using histogram type estimators we consider the estimation of the two-dimensional distribution function of (X 1,X k+1) as well as the estimation of the covariance function of the limit empirical process induced by the sequence X n , n ≥ 1. Assuming a convenient decrease rate of the covariances Cov(X 1,X n+1), n ≥ 1, we derive uniform strong convergence rates for these estimators. The condition on the covariance structure of the variables is satisfied either if Cov(X 1,X n+1) decreases polynomially or if it decreases geometrically, but as we could expect, under the latter condition we are able to establish faster convergence rates. For the two-dimensional distribution function the rate of convergence derived under a geometrical decrease of the covariances is close to the optimal rate for independent samples.   相似文献

The coordination of ruthenium(II) complexes to anionic oxygen-based donors are very rare. This study describes a simple, one-pot method for obtaining [ruthenium(II)(trithiacyclononane)(curcumin)(S-DMSO)]Cl (1) in 37% yield. The structural characterization of complex 1 by elemental analysis, FT-IR, 1-D and 2-D NMR, ESI+-MS as well as UV–vis and fluorescence spectroscopies are presented. The DNA-melting temperature (Tm) assay shows that salmon sperm DNA (smDNA) in the presence of complex 1 has a higher melting temperature, with ΔTm = 7.4 °C, while in the presence of curcumin the melting temperature remains unaltered. The in vitro cytotoxic activities of curcumin and complex 1 were investigated using the tumor human prostate cell line, PC-3, and the healthy cell line, PNT-2. Complex 1 is innocuous toward normal prostate epithelial cells and, whereas curcumin is toxic, with inhibition rates of ca. 35 and 65% at 50 and 80 μM, respectively. On the tumor cell line PC-3, complex 1 did not cause viability changes, whereas curcumin exhibited dose-dependent inhibition, with ca. 73% inhibition at the highest concentration tested, i.e. 80 μM. This study suggests that coordination with the trithiacyclononane ruthenium(II) scaffold stabilizes the photochemical properties of curcumin and strongly changes its biologic activity.  相似文献
