The thermal stability of some boracites, CuB7O13Cl, NiB7O13Br and FeB7O13I, was investigated using thermogravimetry in air up to 1000°, DTA in air to 1200° and evolved gas analysis in vacuum to 1200°C. Only the FeI compound showed weight loss below 1000°C. The endothermic peaks associated with melting were CuCl (1025°C), NiBr (1150°C) and FeI) (965°C). Evolved gas analysis indicated major differences in the decomposition products of the three materials. 相似文献

The standard potentials of silver—silver bromide and silver—silver iodide electrodes in glycerol+water mixtures containing 5, 10, 20 and 30 wt% glycerol were determined from electromotive force measurements of the cell Ag(s), AgX(s), KX(c)//KCl(c), AgCl(s), Ag(s), where X is Br or I, at seven different temperatures in the range 5–35°C. The standard potentials in each solvent are represented as a function of temperature. The standard thermodynamic functions for the electrode reactions, the primary medium effects of various solvents upon X−, and the standard thermodynamic quantities for the transfer of 1 g-ion of X− from water to the respective glycerol + water media are evaluated and discussed in the light of ion—solvent interactions as well as the structural changes of the solvents. From the values of the Ag/Ag+ and Ag/AgX, X− electrodes, the thermodynamic solubility product constants of silver chloride, silver bromide and silver iodide have been determined in glycerol + water solvent mixtures at different temperatures. 相似文献

Poly(vinyl chloride) (PVC)-based membrane of pentathia-15-crown-5 exhibits good potentiometric response for Hg2+ over a wide concentration range (2.51 × 10−5 to 1.00 × 10−1 mol dm−3) with a slope of 32.1 mV per decade of Hg2+ concentration. The response time of the sensor is as fast as 20 s. The electrode has been used for a period of six weeks and exhibits fairly good discriminating ability towards Hg2+ in comparison to alkali, alkaline and some heavy metal ions. The effect of bovine serum albumin on the surface properties of IL-type gemini surfactant ([C10-4-C10im]Br2), have been investigated by surface tension method. The critical micelle concentration (CMC) as a function of BSA concentrations at various temperatures was investigated. The CMC of [C10-4-C10im]Br2 increases with increasing the concentration of BSA as well as the temperature of the system. The interfacial parameters viz; maximum surface excess concentration (Γmax), the minimum area per molecule (Amin), and surface pressure at CMC (Πcmc) were calculated. In addition, thermodynamic parameters of adsorption and micellization were evaluated by using surface tension data. The results indicated that the binding of [C10-4-C10im]Br2 to BSA is spontaneous and exothermic in nature. The process is entropy driven and hydrophobic interactions are the major driving forces. 相似文献

Using temperature‐programmed desorption, supported by X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy and scanning tunneling microscopy, a comprehensive overview of the main reactions of 5,10,15,20‐tetraphenyl‐21H,23H‐porphyrin (2HTPP) on Cu(111) as a function of coverage and temperature is obtained. Three reactions were identified: metalation with Cu substrate atoms, stepwise partial dehydrogenation, and finally complete dehydrogenation. At low coverage the reactions are independent of coverage, but at higher coverage metalation becomes faster and partial dehydrogenation slower. This behavior is explained by a weaker interaction between the iminic nitrogen atoms and the Cu(111) surface in the high‐coverage checkerboard structure, leading to faster metalation, and the stabilizing effect of T‐type interactions in the CuTPP islands formed at high coverage after metalation, leading to slower dehydrogenation. Based on the amount of hydrogen released and the appearance in STM, a structure of the partially dehydrogenated molecule is suggested. 相似文献

In this study, the synthesis, structural characterization and mesomorphic properties of newly thirteen calamitic shaped compounds derived from allylidene amino chalcone and 4-n-alkoxy benzoyloxy benzoic acid. Comp.H1 to H3 exhibited nonliquid crystalline nature, while comp.H4 to comp.H18 displayed enantiotropical smectic C phase. Phase transition temperatures of present synthesised compounds were determined by optical polarising microscopy (POM), differential scanning calorimetric (DSC) and powder X-ray diffraction (PXRD) techniques. Thermal stabilities of smectic to isotropic phase are 150.0 °C and temperature range of mesophase is in decreasing order from comp.H3 to comp.H18 respectively. The presences of SmC phase are the type of broken fan and needle type in present synthesized series. It is also shown that presence of chalcone amino allylidene central linking group favors a calamitic liquid crystalline behaviour in molecules with lower member to higher member aliphatic side chain in alkoxy group (-OR). 相似文献

The stability of regioregular poly(3-hexylthiophene 2,5-diyl) (P3HT) thin films sandwiched between indium tin oxide (ITO)
and aluminium (Al) electrodes have been investigated under normal environmental conditions (25°C and RH∼45–50%). Electrical
and optical properties of ITO/P3HT/Al devices have been studied over a period of 30 days. Mobility μ of the order of 10−4 cm2/V-s has been obtained from the V
2 law in the as-deposited P3HT films. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) investigations show blistering of Al contacts in devices
with a poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene) (PEDOT) interlayer on application of voltage whereas no blistering is seen in devices
without PEDOT. The results have been explained in terms of trap generation and propagation and the moisture-absorbing nature
of PEDOT.

The problem of returning or of selling the inventory excess to optimal stock level is considered for deteriorating items. Two inventory models, viz. the infinite and the finite horizon models, are developed, in which the deterioration is assumed to be a constant fraction of the on hand inventory. Both the models are developed under the assumptions of instantaneous delivery and no shortages. When there is no deterioration, the developed models are related to the corresponding inventory models for non-deteriorating items. Examples are given to illustrate the derived results. 相似文献
