Reaction of Chloroacetone with Cytisine and d-Pseudoephedrine Alkaloids

Alkylation of cytisine and d-pseudoephedrine alkaloids with chloroacetone was performed. The target product of the reaction with cytisine is aminoacetone and of the reaction with d-pseudoephedrine, a morpholine derivative.     

Molecular and crystal structure of the sequiterpene lactone austricin

An x-ray structural study has been made of the sesquiterpene lactone austricin: diffractometer, MoK radiation, 1147 reflections, direct method, R=0.045. The spatial structure of the molecule has been determined. The conformation of the pentane carbocycle is 1-envelope, of the heptane ring 1,10, 7-chair, and of the lactone ring 7-envelope. Crystal Structure of Lappaconitine Hydrobromide Hydrate

The structure of lappacontine hydrobromide hydrate was solved by an x-ray structure analysis.

The results of an x-ray structural investigation of 2e-diethylamino-3e,4e-dimethyl-5e-phenyl-2a-thio-1,3,2-oxazaphospholane are discussed. Molecular and crystal structure of the germacranolide argolide from Artemisia glabella

The new germacranolide argolide has been isolated from the epigeal part ofArtemisia glabella, and its structure has been shown by its conversion into oxopelenolide B. From the results of an x-ray investigation it is suggested that argolide has the spatial structure of 3-oxo-4α,7α,6β(H)-germacra-1(10),11(13)-dien-6,12-olide. Structure of subchrysin

A new sesquiterpene lactone having the structure 3-acetoxy-1-hydroxy-6, 7(H)-germacra-4,10(14), 11(13)-trien-6, 12-olide has been isolated fromArtemisia subchrysolepis Filat. and has been called subchrysin. Possible conformations and relative stability of the 7-membered ring in 1α,5β,6,7α(H)-and 1β,5α,6,7α(H)-guai-11(13)-en-6,12-olides

Stereoisomers of 1,5,6,7(H)- and 1,5,6,7(H)-guai-11(13)-en-6,12-olides are calculated using molecular mechanics. The possibility of forming various conformations in the 7-membered ring is examined as a function of the fusion to the 5-membered C-ring. Gracilin — A new sesquiterpene lactone from Artemisia gracilescens
