The growth of neodymium tartrate crystals was achieved in silica gel by single diffusion method. Optimum conditions were established for the growth of good quality crystals. Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopic study indicates the presence of water molecules and tartrate ligands and suggests that tartrate ions are doubly ionised. The thermal behaviour of the material was studied using thermogravimetry (TG), differential thermal analysis (DTA), derivative thermogravimetry (DTG) and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). Thermogravimetric analysis support the suggested chemical formula of the grown crystal to be Nd2(C4H4O6)3·7H2O, and the presence of seven water molecules as water of hydration. It is shown that the material is thermally stable up 45 °C beyond which it decomposes through many stages till the formation of neodymium oxide (Nd2O3) at 995 °C. The decomposition pattern is reported to be typical of a hydrated metal tartrate.  相似文献

The Pb(IO3)2 crystals have been grown in sodium meta silicate gel using the single diffusion method at room temperature. The grown crystals were characterized by thermo analytical techniques (TG, DTA, and DTG), X-ray powder diffraction (XRD), and FTIR spectroscopy. The crystal system is confirmed to be orthorhombic having lattice parameters a = 6.09 Å, b = 16.68 Å, and c = 5.58 Å by powder X-ray diffraction analysis. FTIR study reveals that lead iodate crystal is anhydrous. TG, DTA, and DTG analysis shows a remarkable thermal stability.  相似文献

In this study, calcium cadmium tartrate single crystals were grown in silica gel at ambient temperature. Effects of various parameters like gel pH, gel aging, gel density, and concentration of reactants on the growth of these crystals were studied. Crystals having different morphologies and habits were obtained. Transparent, diamond-like pyramidal-shaped crystals of calcium cadmium tartrate were obtained. Some of the crystals obtained were faint yellowish, with some milky white crystals being attched to them due to fast growth rate; faces are well developed and polished. The grown crystals were characterized by thermoanalytic techniques (TG, DTA, and DTG), and powder X-ray diffraction (XRD). The crystal system is confirmed to be orthorhombic having lattice parameters a = 7.9411 Å, b = 7.0396 Å, and c = 6.7271 Å as determined by powder XRD analysis. TG, DTA, and DTG analyses show a remarkable thermal stability. The results of these observations are described and discussed.  相似文献

Heavy metals are a group of metals and metalloids that have relatively high density and are toxic even at ppb levels. The excess intake of heavy metals in human bodies though the environment may cause various humans health problems. Analytical approaches of some selected toxic heavy metals in the environment and their socio-environmental impacts are discussed in this review. In this present investigation, we have also discussed the design and development of nanomaterials for the detection of metal ions along with kinetic approaches. The isolation or pre-concentration and determination of heavy metals from complex matrices become challenging for analytical chemists and researchers. The fundamentals on sample preparation and analysis of some selected heavy metals employing different analytical tools for qualitative and quantitative determination of these pollutants in real samples are also discussed. In addition, this compiled work enhanced our knowledge in learning about pathway mechanisms and the degree of their risk assessment.  相似文献

A series of new carbazole‐based N‐heterocyclic carbene (NHC) ligands have been synthesized in a simple and facile synthetic route and subsequently used in a Pd/carbazole‐based NHC catalytic system, which was found to be effective in catalyzing Heck reactions to provide substituted stilbene derivatives in good yields. Several bioactive stilbenes, including pterostilbene, pinosylvin, trimethoxy resveratrol, and resveratrol, were synthesized in good yields, and a 10 mmol scale‐up was also performed for trimethoxy resveratrol. The synthetic application was also extended by performing a double‐tandem chemoselective Heck reaction followed by Miyaura borylation in a one‐pot procedure to give single‐step access to synthetically useful stilbenyl boronate esters. Similarly, a unique triple‐tandem protocol of a chemoselective Heck reaction/Miyaura borylation/Suzuki–Miyaura coupling reaction sequence was performed for the one‐pot modification of biologically relevant molecules.  相似文献

The 0.04 M copper-doped lead iodate crystals grown in silica gel were characterized by Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy, Raman spectroscopy and thermo analytical techniques (TG, DTA, DTG and DSC). Raman and FTIR spectrum clearly indicate that the functional groups of undoped lead iodate were not altered by the addition of the dopant. Thermal analysis suggests that the thermal stability of lead iodate crystals decreases due to copper doping.  相似文献

Transition metal-catalyzed C−H functionalization of diverse arenes with alkyne units has attracted enormous attention for decades since they provide straightforward access to various functionalization/annulations, which are commonly present in bioactive compounds and natural products. Recently, conjugated alkynes (1,3-diynes) have been utilized as key coupling partner in many C−H activation reactions due to their versatile characteristic properties. The presence of two C≡C bonds in conjugated 1,3-diyne brings the new diversity in synthetic transformations, such as chemo-, regioselective pathways, mono-bis functionalizations, cascade annulations, etc. Herein, we summarized the latest developments in the realm of transition-metal-catalyzed C−H functionalizations of diverse arenes with 1,3-diynes. Moreover, we highlighted the diverse transformations, conditions, mechanisms and applications of the corresponding reaction in detail.  相似文献
