Synthesis of heterocyclic derivatives of abietane

The methods of synthesis of some new derivatives of abietane including pyridines and indoles fused with diterpene skeleton were described.     

Chiral ionic liquids based on abietane

A number of chiral ionic liquids were synthesized by reaction of 12-chloromethylabieta-8,11,13-trien-18-oic acid methyl ester with N-alkylimidazoles.     

A Proposed Storage Ion Trap of an ‘In-Flight Capture’ Type for Precise Mass Measurement of Radioactive Nuclear Reaction Products and Fission Fragments

Data on nuclear masses provide a basis for creating and testing various nuclear models. A tandem system comprised of the U-400M cyclotron, the COMBAS magnetic separator and the mass spectrometric ion trap of an ‘in-flight capture’ type is considered as a complex for producing of the short-lived nuclei by heavy ions in fragmentation reactions and for precise mass measurement of this nuclei. The FLNR plan scientific and technical research includes a project DRIBs for producing accelerated beams of radioactive nuclear reaction products and photofission fragments. This project proposes also precise mass measurements with the help of ion trap. This revised version was published online in July 2006 with corrections to the Cover Date.     

Povarov Reaction of Glyoxylate Imines Derived from 12-Aminodehydroabietic Acid

Glyoxylate and arylglyoxal imines based on 12-aminodehydroabietic acid undergo hetero-Diels—Alder (Povarov) reaction with ethyl vinyl ether, cyclopentadiene, and indene to give, respectively, methyl (8aR,9R,12aS)-3-aroyl-5-isopropyl–9,12a-dimethyl–7,8,8a,9,10,11,12,12a-octahydronaphtho[1,2-f]quinoline-9-carboxylates, methyl (7R,10aS,10dR,13aS)-1-aroyl–3-isopropyl–7,10a-dimethyl–2,5,6,6a,7,8,9,10,10a,10d,13,13a-dodecahydro-1H-naphtho[1,2-f]cyclopenta[c]quinoline-7-carboxylates, and methyl (6aS,11bS,11eS,15R,15aR)-6-aroyl–4-isopropyl–11e,15-dimethyl–2,5,6,6a,7,11b,11e,12,13,14,15,15a-1H-dodecahydroindeno[2,1-c]-naphtho[1,2-f]quinoline-15-carboxylates.     

Schematic diagram and calculation of the magnetic analyzer of electrons for investigations in relativistic atomic physics with internal targets of the Nuclotron

A specialized magnetic analyzer providing a possibility of experimental research in the field of relativistic atomic physics by means of registration of electrons from the internal target of the Nuclotron is proposed and calculated. At the selection of δ electrons, it provides a possibility of on-line (in each accelerator cycle) monitoring of the absolute intensity of the interaction of nuclei of the circulating beam with the target.     

The povarov reaction of cyclopentadiene with imines from methyl 12‐amino‐dehydroabietate
