We consider multinomial goodness-of-fit tests for a specified simple hypothesis under the assumption of sparseness. It is shown that the asymptotic normality of the PearsonX 2 statistic (X k 2 ) and the log-likelihood ratio statistic (G k 2 ) assuming sparseness. In this paper, we improve the asymptotic normality ofX k 2 andG k 2 statistics based on two kinds of normalizing transformation. Dependence of efficiency in all-optical poling with nonlinear processes, up to eighth order, is considered. The explicit form of the nonlinear susceptibility that is responsible for the poling is derived, which shows both CEP and phase mismatch dependence. On the basis of an analysis of pulse propagation in a nonlinear material, it is shown that one can identify the order of nonlinearity that is relevant to the poling process, relying on current technology of CEP stabilization and thin-film growth.  相似文献

N. Cressie and T. R. C. Read (1984, J. Roy. Statist. Soc. B46, 440–464) introduced a class of multinomial goodness-of-fit statistics Ra based on power divergence. All Ra have the same chi-square limiting distribution under null hypothesis and have the same noncentral chi-square limiting distribution under local alternatives. In this paper, we investigate asymptotic approximations for the distributions of Ra under local alternatives. We obtain an expression of approximation for the distribution of Ra under local alternatives. The expression consists of continuous and discontinuous terms. Using the continuous term of the expression, we propose a new approximation of the power of Ra. We call the approximation AE approximation. By numerical investigation of the accuracy of the AE approximation, we present a range of sample size n that the omission of the discontinuous term exercises only slight influence on power approximation of Ra. We find that the AE approximation is effective for a much wider range of the value of a than the other power approximations, except for an approximation method which requires high computer performance.  相似文献

Cressie and Read (J. Roy. Statist. Soc. B 46 (1984) 440–464) introduced the power divergence statistics, Ra, as multinomial goodness-of-fit statistics. Each Ra has a limiting noncentral chi-square distribution under a local alternative and has a limiting normal distribution under a nonlocal alternative. Taneichi et al. (J. Multivariate Anal. 81 (2002) 335–359) derived an asymptotic approximation for the distribution of Ra under local alternatives. In this paper, using multivariate Edgeworth expansion for a continuous distribution, we show how the approximation based on the limiting normal distribution of Ra under nonlocal alternatives can be improved. We apply the expansion to the power approximation for Ra. The results of numerical investigation show that the proposed power approximation is very effective for the likelihood ratio test.  相似文献

The feasibility of applying temporal reference holography to detection of moving acoustic radiation sources are examined theoretically and experimentally. Temporal reference holography is proved to be used for the purpose if the width of amplitude spectrum of sound is within a certain range, because the point spread functions of temporal reference hologram coincide with amplitude spectra of sound waves used for recording them.  相似文献

A hydrophobic/super-hydrophilic pattern was prepared on a TiO2 thin film by a new fabrication process. The process consists of five key steps: (1) photocatalytic reduction of Ag+ to Ag (nucleation), (2) electroless Cu deposition, (3) oxidation of Cu to CuO, (4) deposition of a self-assembled monolayer (SAM), and (5) photocatalytic decomposition of selected areas of the SAM. A hydrophobic/super-hydrophilic pattern with 500-μm2 hydrophilic areas was obtained in this process. It is particularly noteworthy that a UV irradiation time of only 1 s was sufficient for the nucleation step in the patterning process.  相似文献

The width of a stacking fault ribbon bound by a pair of partial dislocations in silicon crystals was unchanged when boron and gallium atoms of p-type dopant were agglomerated nearby the ribbon by annealing, even though the width increased when n-type dopant atoms were agglomerated as previously reported [Y. Ohno, Y. Tokumoto, I. Yonenaga, Thin Solid Films, accepted for publication]. The origin of the width-increase in n-type crystals was proposed as the reduction of the stacking fault energy, from 58±5 down to 46±5 mJ/m2, due to an electronic interaction between the ribbon and the n-type dopant atoms, and the interaction energy was estimated to be 0.15±0.05 eV. On the other hand, the interaction of p-type dopant atoms with stacking faults was not detected.  相似文献

3-ethyl-2-[3-(3-ethyl-2(3H)-benzoxazolylidene)-1-propenyl]benzoxazolium iodide (dye I) and pseudoisocyanine bromide are employed to form H aggregates as donors and J aggregates as acceptors. The energy of an H band of the H aggregates is higher than that of a J band of the J aggregates. It was confirmed that excitation of the H band does not emit fluorescence by comparison of excitation spectra of dye I H aggregates with that of dye I monomer. Absorption, fluorescence, and excitation spectra of spin-coated films of H aggregates mixed with various quantities of J aggregates have been observed. Excitation spectra probed at the J band are found to have a component of the H band. Fluorescence spectra originated from excitation of the H band are extracted and qualitatively analyzed. It is confirmed that excitation of the H band causes to emit fluorescence of a J band of the J aggregates. These phenomena show that exciton energy can transfer from the lowest energy in electronic states of the H aggregate, which state is optically forbidden, to electronic state of the J aggregate.  相似文献
