Lasing conditions for He I in a cold recombining helium plasma are numerically discussed including optical thicknesses. A collisional radiative model is used to calculate population densities. We discuss the effect of self absorptions by the background residual gas on the lasing conditions quantitatively. The optical thickness is essential in the calculation and affects the population inversions between level pairs of the singlet state drastically, while those of the triplet state are not affected very much. In the optically thin plasma, the laser lower levels of the singlet state depopulate mainly through radiative transitions. On the other hand, they depopulate mainly through electron collisional deexcitations in the optically thick plasma. Results of the calculations are verified by the spectroscopic observations of an arc-heated magnetically trapped expanding plasma jet generator which we developed. The requirement for the background pressure in which the lasing is possible is discussed quantitatively.  相似文献

To detect a lectin from soybean, an electrochemical procedure was developed by the use of a labeling of galactosamine. Because the lectin has binding sites to galactosamine, galactosamine labeled with daunomycin having electroactivity was prepared. When labeled galactosamine (LG) combines with lectin, the part of daunomycin is taken in the binding sites of the lectin and becomes electroinactive. Therefore, the concentration of the lectin can be estimated by measuring the peak current of the LG. On the other hand, a competitive reaction to the lectin of galactosamine and the LG makes a detection of galactosamine possible. This method has merit that does not require a separation procedure of the free LG from the bound one. An effect of length of spacer between daunomycin and galactosamine was also investigated. It was found that adsorption of reagent on the electrode increased due to introduction of the spacer. Furthermore, the electrode response of the LG was influenced by the type of the spacer.  相似文献

The crystalline one‐dimensional compound, [RhII2(bza)4(pyz)]n ( 1 ) (bza=benzoate, pyz=pyrazine) demonstrates gas adsorbency for N2, NO, NO2, and SO2. These gas‐inclusion crystal structures were characterized by single‐crystal X‐ray crystallography as 1 ?1.5 N2 (298 K), 1 ?2.5 N2 (90 K), and 1 ?1.95 NO (90 K) under forcible adsorption conditions and 1 ?2 NO2 (90 K) and 1 ?3 SO2 (90 K) under ambient pressure. Crystal‐phase transition to the P space group that correlates with gas adsorption was observed under N2, NO, and SO2 conditions. The C2/c space group was observed under NO2 conditions without phase transition. All adsorbed gases were stabilized by the host lattice. In the N2, NO, and SO2 inclusion crystals at 90 K, short interatomic distances within van der Waals contacts were found among the neighboring guest molecules along the channel. The adsorbed NO molecules generated the trans‐NO???NO associated dimer with short intermolecular contacts but without the conventional chemical bond. The magnetic susceptibility of the NO inclusion crystal indicated antiferromagnetic interaction between the NO molecules and paramagnetism arising from the NO monomer. The NO2 inclusion crystal structure revealed that the gas molecules were adsorbed in the crystal in dimeric form, N2O4.  相似文献

Cheletropic additions forming cyclopropane rings were studied theoretically. Ten addition paths were traced by means of density-functional-theory calculations. Two 1,4-dienes, 1,4-pentadiene, and tricyclo[5.3.1.04,9]undeca-2,5-diene were adopted as substrates. CO, SO2, C2H5PCl2, CCl2 and SiCl2 were employed as cheletropic reagents (Xs). An orbital correlation diagram of the Woodward–Hoffmann (W–H) rule and frontier molecular orbital (FMO) interactions between them were investigated in detail. The FMO interactions, HOMO (1,4-diene)lumo (X) and homo (X)LUMO (diene), work reasonably for the progress of the reactions. Those cause the formation of two C–X bonds and a cyclopropane ring, and alternation of double bonds to single bonds. All the additions are concerted. The easiness of the ring formation depends upon the energy gap between HOMO and lumo and that between homo and LUMO, and the spatial directions of HOMO and LUMO extensions. Symmetry conservation of the W–H rule does not hold necessarily for those addition paths. We found a linear correlation between the theoretically predicted shifts and experimentally observed absorption spectra for various mutants of photoactive yellow protein, a photosensory receptor. Excitation energies of mutants were evaluated by the combination of the high level ab initio calculation for the chromophore inside and the low level ab initio calculation for the surrounding protein environment. Importantly, the electronic states of these two regions were treated both as variables and they are solved consistently to each other. The protein–chromophore interaction has been accurately reproduced by this method.  相似文献

The objective of the present work is to investigate the behavior of hydrogen in an atmospheric-pressure free-burning argon are when a small amount of hydrogen is added into the arc. A two-dimensional model calculation is carried out under the assumption that the ionization reaction of argon is in equilibrium and the reactions among hydrogen molecules, atoms, ions, and electrons are not necessarily in equilibrium. This calculation gives the following conclusion. The hydrogen mass fraction of 0.001 is too small to affect the flow and temperature fields markedly, and the concentration ratios among the hydrogen species are in equilibrium in the greater part of the arc region except for same parts with a steep temperature gradient. The hydrogen mass Junction, however, is not uniform in the me and, especially in the high-temperature region near the cathodes, over three dynes mass fraction of the hydrogen accumulates and flows downstream to cause a high flux of hydrogen atom toward the anode. This phenomena can be explained by the large difference between the diffusivity of hydrogen atom and that of hydrogen ion in argon ion.  相似文献

Homogeneous trimethylsilylation of silicic acid in nonaqueous media was studied. The silylation process consisted of three steps: acidification of sodium silicate, solvent extraction. and trimethylation of silicic acid. Sodium silicate was first acidified with dilute sulfuric acid to form silicic acid: extraction followed with hydrophilic organic solvents. The Silicic acid obtained was finally allowed to react with trimethylchlorosilane to give trimethylsilylates with molecular weights of 1000–12,000. Optimum conditions for each step have been intensively sought to achieve trimethylsilylates in high yield. The trimethylsilylates exhibited excellent thermal stability and surface properties, such as water repellency and antifoaming properties, comparable to those of conventional polydimethylsiloxanes.  相似文献

[Chemical reaction: See text] The asymmetric aldol reaction of a tetra-substituted ketene silyl acetal including an alkylseleno group with aldehydes has been developed by the promotion of Sn(OTf)2 coordinated with a chiral diamine to afford the corresponding aldols having chiral quaternary centers at the alpha-positions. The facile oxidative deselenization of these aldol compounds produces optically active alpha-methylene-beta-hydroxy esters which correspond to adducts prepared by the asymmetric Morita-Baylis-Hillman reaction.  相似文献

The ethanol vapor adsorption behavior and the inclusion crystal structure of a 1D-transformable coordination polymer host were characterized. The adsorption jump was observed during phase transition or two-phase equilibrium with abnormal adsorption enthalpy caused by the nature of "mass induced phase transition." The included ethanol guests selectively form O-H...O hydrogen bonded pairs inside channels, suggesting selective construction of a specific cluster/aggregate in pores under control of thermodynamic factors and cooperative intermolecular interactions among the guest and channel surface.  相似文献
