The equations of motion of a test particle moving near the center of a massive rotating ring are derived up to the post-post-Newtonian order of approximation, by using the metric tensor for many body system which is Minkowskian at spatial infinity. Logarithmic divergences due to self-interaction of the ring appear in the equations of motion. These divergences can be removed by the procedure which is similar to the renormalization method in particle physics. In the equations of motion there appears a force directing to the rotation axis and depending on the angular velocity of the ring. This force vanishes when the magnitude of the gravitational constant times the mass of the ring divided by the radius of the ring is about one tenth of the square of the velocity of light. Under this condition it is shown that the relative magnitude of the Coriolis force to the centrifugal force in the equations of motion agrees with the expected one from the equations of motion in a rotating reference frame. 相似文献

New muq-opioid receptor (MOR) agonists containing 4-hydroxypiperidine, piperidine and piperazine moieties were synthesized and evaluated to find a peripheral opioid analgesic. Among the synthesized compounds, 12-[1-[3-(N,N-dimethylcarbamoyl)-3,3-diphenylpropyl]-4-hydroxypiperidin-4-yl]phenoxy]acetic acid (8: SS620) having phenoxyacetic acid and 4-hydroxypiperidine moieties showed the highest agonist potency on the MOR in an isolated guinea-pig ileum preparation, and it also had selectivity to the human MOR expressed in Chinese hamster ovary (CHO)-K1 cells compared with the same types of delta- and kappa-opioid receptors (DOR and KOR). In addition, compound 8 showed a 10 times more potent MOR agonist activity than loperamide. Furthermore, compound 8 showed a peripheral analgesic activity in vivo screening on rat. 相似文献

Human hair collected from the mercury, arsenic and cadmium polluted areas has been analysed by instrumental neutron activation method. The concentrations of 27 elements were compared with those of normal Japanese. Correlation coefficients of logarithmic concentrations between the elements were calculated and their significance levels were determined. Factor contribution and factor loadings of the elements were calculated for each factor by making use of principal component analysis. Gas chromatography/supersonic jet/resonance-enhanced multiphoton ionization/time-of-flight mass spectrometry (GC/SSJ/REMPI/TOF-MS) was employed for isomer-selective determination of 2,4-xylenol in river and seawater samples. The sample containing 2,4-xylenol was measured using argon, rather than helium, as the GC carrier gas to cool the analyte molecule sufficiently. The instrumental detection limit (IDL) achieved at a flow rate of 1 mLmin(-1) was 14 pg. Although this value was comparable to the value (ca. 10 pg) obtained by gas chromatography/electron impact/quadrupole mass spectrometry (GC/EI/QMS). When the flow rate was increased to 8 mLmin(-1), interference from the 2,5-xylenol isomer was completely suppressed. The IDL was degraded to 83 or 160 pg at a flow rate of 5 or 8 mLmin(-1), respectively. The recovery of 2,4-xylenol from the river and the seawater samples was 85 and 93%, respectively. The time for analysis was only 10 min per one sample in GC/SSJ/REMPI/TOF-MS. These results suggest that GC/SSJ/REMPI/TOF-MS is useful for the selective measurement of 2,4-xylenol, which has been designated a Class I chemical substance in the Pollutant Release and Transfer Register (PRTR). 相似文献

Poor adhesion of single human embryonic stem (hES) cells after freeze-thawing causes death. To investigate mechanisms responsible for this, Rho-dependent protein kinase (ROCK) inhibitor Y-27632-treated and untreated single hES cells were analyzed for E-cadherin and F-actin distribution by immunostaining and phalloidin staining respectively and for G13 signaling pathway components by DNA microarray and quantitative polymerase chain reaction (PCR). Y-27632-treated cells clustered rapidly and maintained E-cadherin and F-actin distribution without losing Oct-3/4. Immediately after thawing, E-cadherin in untreated hES cells dotted along the membrane and then displayed eccentric cytoplasmic localization. Bleb formation and early Oct-3/4 loss occurred after F-actin network condensation in the cytoplasm. Microarray analyses and quantitative PCR indicated upregulation of two actin reorganization-associated components of the G13 signaling pathway, Arhgdib and Cdc42, in untreated cells. Considering these findings and that cell death was partly interrupted by Y-27632, E-cadherin and actin cytoskeleton network disruption through the G13 signaling pathway may cause hES cell death after freeze-thawing. 相似文献

Chlorosomes are light-harvesting antennae of photosynthetic bacteria containing large numbers of self-aggregated bacteriochlorophyll (BChl) molecules. They have developed unique photophysical properties that enable them to absorb light and transfer the excitation energy with very high efficiency. However, the molecular-level organization, that produces the photophysical properties of BChl molecules in the aggregates, is still not fully understood. One of the reasons is heterogeneity in the chlorosome structure which gives rise to a hierarchy of structural and energy disorder. In this report, we for the first time directly measure absorption linear dichroism (LD) on individual, isolated chlorosomes. Together with fluorescence-detected three-dimensional LD, these experiments reveal a large amount of disorder on the single-chlorosome level in the form of distributions of LD observables in chlorosomes from wild-type bacterium Chlorobaculum tepidum . Fluorescence spectral parameters, such as peak wavelength and bandwidth, are measures of the aggregate excitonic properties. These parameters obtained on individual chlorosomes are uncorrelated with the observed LD distributions and indicate that the observed disorder is due to inner structural disorder along the chlorosome long axis. The excitonic disorder that is also present is not manifested in the LD distributions. Limiting values of the LD parameter distributions, which are relatively free of the effect of structural disorder, define a range of angles at which the excitonic dipole moment is oriented with respect to the surface of the two-dimensional aggregate of BChl molecules. Experiments on chlorosomes of a triple mutant of Chlorobaculum tepidum show that the mutant chlorosomes have significantly less inner structural disorder and higher symmetry, compatible with a model of well-ordered concentric cylinders. Different values of the transition dipole moment orientations are consistent with a different molecular level organization of BChl's in the mutant and wild-type chlorosomes. 相似文献

A method for the quantification of total d-gluconate by flow-injection analysis was developed using an immobilized-enzyme reactor and fluorescence detection. d-Gluconate was quantified using co-immobilized gluconate kinase (GK) and 6-phosphogluconate dehydrogenase (PGDH) reactor. d-Gluconate was phosphorylated to 6-phospho-d-gluconate by GK in the presence of ATP, and then the 6-phospho-d-gluconate produced was oxidized by PGDH with NADP+. The NADPH produced by the GK-PGDH reactor was monitored fluorometrically at 455 nm (excitation at 340 nm). A linear relationship between the responses and concentrations of d-gluconate was obtained in the ranges of 1.0 × 10−6–1.6 × 10−4 M. The relative standard deviation for 10 successive injections was 0.57% at the 0.1 mM level. This analytical method was applied to the quantification of d-gluconate in honeys, vinegars and noble rot wines, and the results showed good agreement with those obtained using the conventional F-kit method. 相似文献
