Sealants Based on Oligodiene Urethane Epoxides

Sealants in which oligodiene urethane epoxide is used as polymeric base were studied. Sulfurcontaining oligomers were used for additional cross-linking via double bonds. The reaction with a polysulfide oligomer at the terminal functional groups was studied taking into account the region of thermodynamic compatibility of the reactive oligomers. Application fields were suggested for the sealants developed.     

Influence of the Type of Oligoisocyanate on the Properties of Thiourethane Compounds

Thiourethane sealants were developed on the basis of various ester and ether prepolymers. The possibility of replacing in sealants thiokol, whose production is ecologically unsafe, by thiopolyether was examined.     

Thiouretane Formation from Polyoxyalkylene Oligomers

Thiouretane formation in compounds based on polyoxyalkylenethiols and polyoxyalkylene isocyanates in the presence of catalysts was considered.     

Urethane Formation in the Presence of Stabilizers

The kinetics of urethane formation was studied in relation to the stabilizer type. A series of urethane elastomers (sealants, coatings, adhesives), derived from stabilized prepolymers and polyoxyalkylenepolyols of various molecular weights, were developed.     

Synthesis of Single-Component Urethane Sealants

Single-component urethane sealing formulations with aldimines as cross-linking agents were developed. The temperature dependence of the curing time of the sealants was examined. The influence of the -CH = N-/-NCO ratio and of fillers (industrial carbon and chalk) on their physicochemical properties was studied.
