Effect of salts on the reaction direction of (2R*,3R*)-2-[(1R*)-1-iodoethyl)]-3-methyl(3,5-dimethyl)-1-(4-methylphenylsulfonyl)-2,3-dihydro-1H-indoles with dimethylformamide

Transformations of (2R*,3R*)-2-[(1R*)-1-iodoethyl)-3,5-dimethyl-1-(4-methylphenylsulfonyl-2,3-dihydro-1H-indole on heating in boiling dimethylformamide in the presence of various salts were studied.     

Copper(II) and nickel(II) complexes with bis(azomethine)—a condensation product of 1-phenyl-3-methyl-4-formyl-5-mercaptopyrazole with 1,3-diaminopropan-2-ol

The copper(II) and nickel(II) complexes based on bis(azomethine), which is the condensation product of 1-phenyl-3-methyl-4-formyl-5-mercaptopyrazole with 1,3-diaminopropan-2-ol, are synthesized. Bis-azomethines can form both binuclear and mononuclear complexes in which the hydroxy group is not involved in coordination. The binuclear copper(II) complexes with the acetate and pyrazolate bridges exhibit an antiferromagnetic exchange, which strength is determined by the nature of the bridge (2J = ?154 and ?424 cm^?1, respectively). The structure parameters of the coordination spheres of the complexes are determined by X-ray absorption spectroscopy. The structure of the CHCl₃ solvate of the binuclear copper(II) complex with the pyrazolate bridge is solved by X-ray diffraction analysis (CIF file CCDC 964655).     

Ozonolysis of dipterocarpol and its derivatives

Oxidation of dipterocarpol and its derivatives with ozone gave compounds containing lactone, lactol, alkoxytetrahydrofuran, aldehyde, and methyl ketone fragments in the side chain, as well as 1,2,4-trioxolane fragment in the A ring. The molecular and crystalline structures of dipterocarpol were determined by X-ray analysis.     

Alkynylation of Cotarnine Hydrochloride by Ag(I) Acetylenides

1-Organoacetylene derivatives were prepared by reaction of cotarnine hydrochloride with silver organoacetylenides with brief heating in acetonitrile. The structure of one of these, 1-(3-hydroxypropyn-1-yl)-2-methyl-6,7-methylenedioxy-8-methoxy-1,2,3,4-tetrahydroisoquinoline, wasproved by an X-ray structure analysis.     

Molecular structure of methyl 1-isopropenyl-5a,5b,8,8,14a-pentamethyl-1,2,3,3a,4,5,5a,5b,6,7,7a,8,9,14,14a,14b,15,16,16a,16b-icosahydrocyclopenta[7,8] phenanthro[2,1-b]carbazole-3a-carboxylate

The molecular and crystal structure of methyl 1-isopropenyl-5a,5b,8,8,14a-pentamethyl-1,2,3,3a,4,5,5a,5b, 6,7,7a,8,9,14,14a,14b,15,16,16a,16b-icosahydrocyclopenta[7,8]phenenthro[2,1-b]carbazole-3a-carboxylate is determined. Compound C₃₇H₅₁NO₂ II crystallizes in the C2 chiral space group: a = 27.0380(5) ?, b = 7.9817(15) ?, c = 18.1980(3) ?, β = 123.580(3)°.
