The present state of our knowledge on sol-gel coating films has been reviewed. A qualitative discussion is made on the limit of the film thickness which can be achieved in the sol-gel method and the factors affecting the film thickness. Considering that properties of the film are intimately related to the microstructure, types of microstructures accomplished by the sol-gel coating are introduced with examples.  相似文献

The intercalation of non-ionized guest pentoses (ribose and 2-deoxyribose) into the Mg-Al and Zn-Al layered double hydroxides (LDHs) was carried out at 298 K by the calcination-rehydration reaction using the Mg-Al and Zn-Al oxide precursors calcined at 773 K. The resulting solid products reconstructed the LDH structure with incorporating pentoses, and the maximum amount of ribose intercalated by the Mg-Al oxide precursor was approximately 20 times that by the Zn-Al oxide precursor. The ribose/Mg-Al LDH was observed to have the expanded LDH structure with a broad (003) spacing of 0.85 nm. As the thickness of the LDH hydroxide basal layer is 0.48 nm, the interlayer distance of the ribose/Mg-Al LDH is 0.37 nm. This value corresponds to molecular size of ribose in thickness (0.36 nm), supporting that ribose is horizontally oriented in the interlayer space of LDH. The maximum amount of ribose intercalated by the Mg-Al oxide precursor was approximately 5 times that of 2-deoxyribose. Ribose is substituted only by the hydroxyl group at C-2 position for 2-deoxyribose. Therefore, the number of hydroxyl group of sugar is essentially important for the intercalation of sugar molecule into the LDH, suggesting that the intercalation behavior of sugar for the LDH was greatly influenced by hydrogen bond between hydroxyl group of the intercalated pentose and the LDH hydroxide basal layers.  相似文献

Double-walled carbon nanotubes (DWNTs) have been synthesized by catalytic chemical vapor deposition (CCVD) over supported metal catalysts decomposed from Fe(CH3COO)2 and Co(CH3COO)2 on mesoporous silica. Bundles of tubes with relatively high percentage of DWNTs, in areas where tubular layered structures could be clearly resolved, have been observed by transmission electron microscopy (TEM). In other areas, crystal-like alignment of very uniform DWNTs was observed for the first time, suggesting that mesoporous silica might play a templating role in guiding the initial nanotube growth. In addition, compatible with nano-electronics research, bridging of catalytic islands by DWNTs has also been demonstrated.  相似文献

A new family of indoaniline-derived calix[4]arenes has been synthesized for the purpose of developing a new chromogenic receptor. A condensing reaction of calix[4]arene (1) with 4-(diethylamino)-2-methylaniline hydrochloride (2) in the presence of an oxidizing agent under alkaline conditions affords mono- (3), 1,2-bis- (4), 1,3-bis- (5), and tetrakisindoaniline-derived (6) calix[4]arenes after careful column chromatography. Compound 3 is crystallized from a CHCl(3)-MeOH solution, and the crystal structure was determined by X-ray analysis. The crystal is monoclinic, space group P2(1)/n, Z = 4, a = 19.507(6) ?, b = 18.591(6) ?, c = 8.524(2) ?, beta = 94.69(2) degrees. The final R value for 2406 reflections of F(o) > 3sigma(F(o)) is 0.085. A unique intramolecular hydrogen-bonding network involving the carbonyl oxygen of indoaniline for 3 implied that the quinone carbonyl group as an acceptor of the chromophore can easily be subjected to an electrostatic interaction in the lower rim. Indeed, 1,3-bis(indoaniline)-derived 2,4-bis((ethoxycarbonyl)methoxy)calix[4]arene 7, prepared by the reaction of 5 with ethyl bromoacetate in the presence of NaH, is capable of undergoing an efficient ion-dipole interaction between the binding cation and the two quinone carbonyl groups of the chromophores, so that a selective Ca(2+)-induced pronounced color change (wavelength change > 100 nm) occurs with an association constant on the order of 10(6) in 99% EtOH, making 7 of potential use as an optical sensor for Ca(2+) detection. The IR and NMR studies have indicated that Ca(2+) is encapsulated in the cavity made by the distally located OCH(2)CO(2) groups on the lower rim of the cone-shaped calix[4]arene segment. Interestingly, however, the shape of the cavity in which Ca(2+) has been encapsulated does not have a C(2) axis of symmetry, as inferred from the (1)H-(1)H COSY experiment. On the other hand, 1,2-bis(indoaniline)-derived analogue 8 shows no response with metal ions, which can be interpreted to mean the absence of a cavity for encapsulation on the lower rim.  相似文献

Six novel branched beta-cyclodextrins (betaCDs) having beta-D-galactose residues on the non-reducing terminal of the sugar side chains, namely 6(1),6(4)-di-O-(beta-D-galactosyl)-betaCD (10), 6-O-(beta-D-galactosyl)-betaCD (11), 6(1),6(4)-di-O-(beta-lactosyl)-betaCD (14), 6-O-(beta-lactosyl)-betaCD (15), 6(1),6(4)-di-O-(4'-O-beta-D-galactosyl-beta-lactosyl)-betaCD (18), and 6-O-(4'-O-beta-D-galactosyl-beta-lactosyl)-betaCD (19), were chemically synthesized using the trichloroacetimidate method. The reaction products were separated by HPLC on an amino column into dibranched and monobranched betaCDs. Their structures were confirmed by mass spectrometry (MS) and two-dimensional (2D) NMR spectroscopic analysis. To study the length of the sugar side chains attached to the CD ring, which leads to differences in the functions of the branched CDs, interactions of these compounds with peanut (Arachis hypogaea) agglutinin (PNA) were investigated using an optical biosensor and an inhibition assay based on hemagglutination. The results showed that all branched betaCDs interacted with PNA, and the binding affinity was 18>14>10 and 19>15>11 when the derivatives were compared on the basis of side chain length.  相似文献

To obtain basic and clear release properties, wax matrix tablets were prepared from a physical mixture of drug and wax powder at a fixed mixing ratio. Properties of release from the single flat-faced surface, curved side surface, and/or whole surface of the wax matrix tablet were examined. Then tortuosity and the applicability of Higuchi's square-root time law equation were examined. The Higuchi equation well analyzed the release processes of different release manners. However, the region fitted to the Higuchi equation differed with the release manner. Tortuosity obtained with release from the single flat-faced surface and curved side surface was comparable with that obtained with the release from a reservoir device tablet, whereas tortuosity obtained with release from the whole surface was larger. As the wax matrix tablets were prepared at a fixed mixing ratio, their internal structures should be similar. Therefore changes in the matrix volume or volume fraction with release were examined, and an extra volume where dissolved drug stray becomes large with release time in the case of release from the whole surface. These factors should be taken into account for evaluation of applicability and release properties. Furthermore, the entire release process should be analyzed using a combination of the square-root time law and other suitable equations in accordance with release manner or condition.  相似文献

In acidic aqueous solution, a cobalt(III) complex containing monodentate N(9)-bound adeninate (ade(-)), cis-[Co(ade-kappaN(9))Cl(en)(2)]Cl (cis-[1]Cl), underwent protonation to the adeninate moiety without geometrical isomerization or decomposition of the Co(III) coordination sphere, and complexes of cis-[CoCl(Hade)(en)(2)]Cl(2) (cis-[2]Cl(2)) and cis-[Co(H(2)ade)Cl(en)(2)]Cl(3) (cis-[3]Cl(3)) could be isolated. The pK(a) values of the Hade and H(2)ade(+) complexes are 6.03(1) and 2.53(12), respectively, at 20 degrees C in 0.1 M aqueous NaCl. The single-crystal X-ray analyses of cis-[2]Cl(2).0.5H(2)O and cis-[3]Cl(2)(BF(4)).H(2)O revealed that protonation took place first at the adeninate N(7) and then at the N(1) atoms to form adenine tautomer (7H-Hade-kappaN(9)) and cationic adeninium (1H,7H-H(2)ade(+)-kappaN(9)) complexes, respectively. On the other hand, addition of NaOH to an aqueous solution of cis-[1]Cl afforded a mixture of geometrical isomers of the hydroxo-adeninato complex, cis- and trans-[Co(ade-kappaN(9))(OH)(en)(2)](+). The trans-isomer of chloro-adeninato complex trans-[Co(ade-kappaN(9))Cl(en)(2)]BF(4) (trans-[1]BF(4)) was synthesized by a reaction of cis-[2](BF(4))(2) and sodium methoxide in methanol. This isomer in acidic aqueous solution was also stable toward isomerization, affording the corresponding adenine tautomer and adeninium complexes (pK(a) = 5.21(1) and 2.48(9), respectively, at 20 degrees C in 0.1 M aqueous NaCl). The protonated product of trans-[Co(7H-Hade-kappaN(9))Cl(en)(2)](BF(4))(2).H(2)O (trans-[2](BF(4))(2).H(2)O) could also be characterized by X-ray analysis. Furthermore, the hydrogen-bonding interactions of the adeninate/adenine tautomer complexes cis-[1]BF(4), cis-[2](BF(4))(2), and trans-[2](BF(4))(2) with 1-cyclohexyluracil in acetonitrile-d(3) were investigated by (1)H NMR spectroscopy. The crystal structure of trans-[Co(ade)(H(2)O)(en)(2)]HPO(4).3H(2)O, which was obtained by a reaction of trans-[Co(ade)(OH)(en)(2)]BF(4) and NaH(2)PO(4), was also determined.  相似文献

Generalization of the release process through the wax matrix layer was examined by use of a reservoir device tablet. The wax matrix layer of the reservoir device tablet was prepared from a physical mixture of lactose and hydrogenated castor oil to simplify the release properties. Release through the wax matrix layer showed zero-order kinetics in a steady state after a given lag time, and could be divided into two stages. The first stage was the formation process of water channel by dissolving the soluble component in the wax matrix layer. The lag time obtained by applying the square root law equation was well connected with the amount of the matrix layer and mixed weight ratio of components in this layer. The second stage was the zero-order release process of drug in the reservoir through the wax matrix layer, because the effective surface area was fixed. The release rate constants were connected with thickness of the matrix layer and permeability coefficient, and the permeability coefficients were connected with the diffusion coefficient of drug and porosity. Hence the release rate constant could be connected with the amount of matrix layer and the mixed weight ratio of components in the matrix layer. It was therefore suggested that the release process could be generalized using the amount of matrix layer and the mixed weight ratio of components in the matrix layer.  相似文献

Studies on the role of oxygen vacancy in structural change of nonstoichiometric perovskites and a property of oxygen-deficient perovskite-related K2NiF4 compounds are reviewed. The structural changes on which the authors focused are cation ordering and lattice distortion. The relationship between the distortion and oxygen vacancy was investigated by comparing the structures of Sr2(Sr1-xMx)TaO6-d (M = Ca2+ and Nd3+) solid solutions. It was found that distortion of a perovskite-type lattice decreased with an increasing amount of oxygen vacancies. In order to investigate the relationship between the cation ordering on octahedral sites and oxygen vacancy, structures of stoichiometric Sr2-xLaxCo1-yTa1+yO6 and oxygen-deficient Sr2-xLaxMg1-yTa1+yO6-d solid solutions were compared. The authors' work reveals that the cation ordering affects the amount of oxygen vacancies in addition to cation charge and size.  相似文献

Novel metal-complex assemblies constructed from the flexible hinge-like ligand H(2)bhnq (H(2)bhnq=2,2'-bi(3-hydroxy-1,4-naphthoquinone)) have been synthesized. The X-ray crystal structures of these compounds reveal that four types of architectures are accessible by variation of the metal ions. In copper(II) compounds 1-3, the chelating bhnq(2-) ions bridge copper(II) centers to form one-dimensional zigzag chains. The chains of 1-3 are arranged by hydrogen-bonding interactions and stacking interactions to produce porous structures. Cobalt(II) and zinc(II) compounds 4 and 5 form one-dimensional helical chains. In 4 and 5, the crystal packing induces spontaneous resolution of the helical chains with chiral cavities formed perpendicular to the helices. Nickel(II) compounds 6 and 7 form cyclic tetramers. The fourth architecture, a dimer (compound 8), is obtained by the reaction of zinc(II) and bhnq(2-) in MeOH. In these compounds, changes of the dihedral angles and the metal-coordination mode of the bhnq(2-) ion induce the structural versatility. The assemblies of the zigzag chains of the copper(II) compounds exhibit reversible vapochromic behavior. UV/Vis, powder X-ray diffraction, EPR, and adsorption isotherm measurements indicate that this vapochromic behavior is based on the hinge-like flexibility of the bhnq(2-) ion.  相似文献
