The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between BMD and age at lumbar spine and proximal femur in Turkish males. Two hundred ninety healthy males (aged 20-59 years) were investigated. BMD of the lumbar spine had its peak at ages 30-39, however, the peak for the proximal femur was between the ages of 20 and 29. There was a significant decrease in BMD at proximal femur after these peak values with increasing age. In conclusion, there was a significant correlation between age and the proximal femoral BMD in males and age has a strong predictive power on proximal femur BMD score. The probability of gamma or X-ray interactions with important 14 antioxidants have been discussed for total photon interactions in the wide energy range of 1?keV–100?GeV using the WinXCOM code. The variations of mass attenuation coefficient (μρ), effective atomic number (Zeff) and electron density (Nel) with photon energy were plotted for total photon interactions. It was found that the values of μρ, Zeff and Nel depend on the incoming photon energy and chemical compositions of antioxidant. The highest values of these parameters were found at a low-energy zone where the photoelectric effect is the dominant interaction process. When antioxidants were compared with each other, it was seen that Zeff has the highest values for Oenin chloride and Delphinidin chloride which contain the Cl element. This investigation is thought to be useful for medical applications where radiation exposure is present.  相似文献

A novel proton conducting polymer blend was prepared by mixing poly(vinylphosphonic acid) (PVPA) with poly(1-vinylimidazole) (PVI) at various stoichiometric ratios via changing molar ratio of monomer repeating unit to achieve the highest protonation. The polymer network having the most suitable stoichiometric ratio for substantial proton conductivity was prepared and characterized by FT-IR spectroscopy and proton conductivity measurements. The network was used for immobilization of invertase and some important kinetic parameters such as the maximum reaction rate (Vmax) and Michaelis-Menten constant (Km) were investigated for the immobilized invertase. Additionally, optimum temperature and pH were determined to acquire the best conditions for the highest enzyme activity. Operational stability of the entrapped enzyme was also examined. The results reveal that the most stable and highly proton conducting polymer network may play a pioneer role in the biosensors applications as given by FT-IR, elemental analysis, impedance spectroscopy and storage stability experiments.  相似文献

Solid polymer electrolytes are a promising alternative to widely used liquid carbonate electrolytes to deliver next-generation lithium-ion batteries with improved safety. However, the limited ionic conductivity and high interfacial resistance with electrodes limit their widespread use. This review aims to give an overview of the recent research on performance aspects and strategies of solid polymer electrolytes, including ionic conductivity, lithium transference number, design flexibility, scale-up, and integration of ionic liquids with a focus on safety.  相似文献
