The polynuclear coordination compounds LnCr(tartrate)3·nH2O where Ln(III)=La-Er, obtained through a precipitation method, were characterized on the basis of elemental analysis, their
electronic and vibrational spectra and magnetic susceptibility measurements. The possibility of obtaining chromites through
the transformations of the polynuclear coordination compounds in the solid state was considered. The thermal decompositions
of these compounds, studied by TG and DTA methods, were found to follow an almost uniform pattern. The decompositions occurred
in six-eight steps. The first two steps involved dehydration, and the third the transformation of tartrate anions to oxalate,
followed by conversion to carbonate and oxocarbonate intermediates. The final product in each case was LnCrO3. A non-isothermal kinetic analysis of the first decomposition steps was performed, the most probable decomposition mechanism
being selected and the kinetic parameters evaluated. The final products of the transformations were characterized.

Summary The investigations concerning the thermal behaviour of a series of Ni(II) and Cu(II) complexes of type [MLCln]·mH2O ((1) M:Ni, L:L(1), n=1, m=2; (2) M:Cu, L:L(2), n=1, m=2; (3) M:Ni, L:L(3), n=2, m=0; (4) M:Cu, L:L(3), n=1, m=2) are presented in this paper. The ligands L(1)-L(3) have been synthesised by template condensation of 1,2-diaminoethane
with formaldehyde and 2-amino-1,3,4-thiadiazole-5-thiole or 2-acetamino-1,3,4-thiadiazole-5-sulfonamide. The bonding and stereochemistry
of the complexes have been characterised by IR, electronic and magnetic studies at room temperature. The thermal behaviour
provided confirmation of the complex composition as well as the number and the nature of water molecules and the intervals
of thermal stability. The different nature of the ligands and/or the metallic ions generates a different thermal behaviour
for complexes. The complexes do not show biological activity against HIV virus. 相似文献

Nickel–zinc ferrites have been synthesized via thermal decomposition of polynuclear coordination compounds containing as ligand the anion of malic acid, namely (NH4)[Fe2NixZn1–x(C4H4O5)(OH)3]·nH2O (x =0.25, 0.5 and 0.75, n=3 and 5). A comparison between the thermal behaviour of the studied polynuclear coordination compounds is inferred. Fe2NixZn1–xO4 (n=0.25, 0.5 and 0.75) ferrites with mean particle sizes of 65–85 Å and free from other phases are formed after a heating treatment of only one hour at 500°C. 相似文献

Coordination compounds of Cu(II), VO(II), Ni(II), and Mn(II) with the Schiff base obtained through the condensation of 4-amino-2,3-dimethyl-1-phenyl-3-pyrazolin-5-one with 3-formyl-6-methyl-chromone were synthesized. The characterization of the newly formed compounds was done by 1H NMR, UV–Vis, IR, ESR spectroscopy, elemental analysis and molar electric conductibility. The crystal structure of 1-phenyl-2,3-dimethyl-4-(N-3-formyl-6-methyl-chromone)-3-pyrazolin-5-one (HL) has been determined by X-ray diffraction studies, as well as the one of its copper(II) complex [CuL(OAc)]·CH3OH which contains an anionic ligand and an acetate in the coordination sphere of the metal. The single crystal X-ray structure for (HL) was analyzed for its various weak H-bonding and dimeric association. 相似文献

New complexes of type [M(HL)(CH3COO)(OH2)m]·nH2O (where M:Co, m = 2, n = 2; M:Ni, m = 2, n = 1.5; M:Zn, m = 0, n = 2.5 and M:Cd, m = 0, n = 0; H2L:5-bromo-N,N′-bis-(salicylidene)-o-tolidine) have been synthesized and characterized by microanalytical, IR, UV–Vis-NIR and magnetic data. Electronic spectra of Co(II) and Ni(II) complexes are characteristic for an octahedral stereochemistry. The IR spectra indicate a chelate coordination mode for mono-deprotonated Schiff base and a bidentate one for acetate ion. The thermal transformations are complex according to TG and DTA curves including dehydration, acetate decomposition and oxidative degradation of the Schiff base. The final product of decomposition is the most stable metallic oxide. 相似文献
