Growth of metal-organic frameworks on polymer surfaces   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
Polymer substrates have been functionalized with a MOF material (MIL-47) synthesized directly on polyacrylonitrile using in situ microwave irradiation. The growth of MIL-47 on these substrates was studied as a function of microwave irradiation time using scanning electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. The conversion of nitrile to carboxylic acid groups on the PAN surface was necessary for the growth of MIL-47 on the substrate. MIL-47 crystals grew over time at the expense of a related disordered precursor phase, which lacks the long-range order of MIL-47. This work paves the way for the development of a new class of hybrid MOF-polymer materials that will extend the applications of MOFs to fields such as membrane separations, filtration, and protective textiles.  相似文献

Since the discovery of ozone depletion, the doublet electronic states of the ozone radical cation have received much attention in experimental and theoretical investigations, while the low-lying quartet states have not. In the present research, viable pathways to the quartet states from the lowest three triplet states of ozone, (3)A(2), (3)B(2), and (3)B(1), and excitations from the (2)A(1) and (2)B(2) states of the ozone radical cation have been studied in detail. The potential energy surfaces, structural optimizations, and vibrational frequencies for several states of ozone and its radical cation have been thoroughly investigated using the complete active space self-consistent field, unrestricted coupled cluster theory from a restricted open-shell Hartree-Fock reference including all single and double excitations (UCCSD), UCCSD method with the effects of connected triple excitations included perturbatively, and unrestricted coupled cluster including all single, double, and triple excitations with the effects of connected quadruple excitations included perturbatively. These methods used Dunning's correlation-consistent polarized core-valence basis sets, cc-pCVXZ (X = D, T, Q, and 5). The most feasible pathways (symmetry and spin allowed transitions) to the quartet states are (4)A(1)<--(3)A(2), (4)A(2)<--(3)A(2), (4)A(1)<--(3)B(2), (4)A(2)<--(3)B(1), (4)B(2)<--(3)B(1), (4)A(2)<--(1)A(1), (4)B(2)<--(1)A(1), and (4)A(1)<--(1)A(1) with vertical ionization potentials of 12.46, 12.85, 12.82, 12.46, 12.65, 13.43, 13.93, and 14.90 eV, respectively.  相似文献

The assessment of environmental pollution of the coastal areas of the Malaysian Peninsula was done by analyzing the contents of the heavy and trace elements in the bivalves blood clams (Anadara granosa) and green mussels (Perna viridis) and sediments at twenty-two sampling stations to look for prevailing trends. Heavy and trace elements analyzed in this study were As, Cd, Cr, Cu, Pb, Se and Zn. Two techniques, namely the neutron activation analysis (NAA) and atomic absorption spectrophotometry (AAS) were used in the quantitative determination of the heavy metals while Marine Sediment Reference Material (BCSS) and Lobster Hepatopancreas (TORT-1) provided the certified reference materials in the quality assurance control. The potential use of these bivalves as suitable bio-indicators was evaluated from correlation tests based on the concentrations of heavy and trace elements in the sediment-metals system to those in the bivalves.  相似文献

A qualitative survey of the thermal degradation reactions which occur in poly(ethyl acrylate), poly(n-propyl acrylate), poly(isopropyl acrylate), poly(n-butyl acrylate) and poly(2-ethylhexyl acrylate) has been made by using three thermal analytical methods: thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), thermal volatilization analysis (TVA), and the dynamic molecular still (DMS), all combined with infrared and mass spectrometry. Degradation in poly(isopropyl acrylate), which is a secondary ester, becomes discernible at 260°C and proceeds in two stages. The other four polymers, which are all primary esters, are more stable. They degrade in a single-stage process starting at 300°C. The principal volatile products from the primary esters are carbon dioxide and the olefin and alcohol corresponding to the alkyl group. A roughly equivalent quantity of short-chain fragments is also formed. From poly(isopropyl acrylate), carbon dioxide and propylene are the only volatile products in the first phase of the reaction.  相似文献

We investigate nonlinear oscillations in a fourth-order partialdifferential equation which models a suspension bridge. Previouswork establishes multiple periodic solutions when a parameterexceeds a certain eigenvalue. In this paper, we use Leray-Schauderdegree theory to prove that if the parameter is increased further,beyond a second eigenvalue, then additional solutions are created.  相似文献
