The Feynman path integral Monte Carlo approach has been coupled to the gauge including atomic orbital formalism in order to analyse the absolute magnetic shieldings of the benzene nuclei under the conditions of thermal equilibrium. The Hamiltonian employed in the derivation of ensemble averaged NMR quantities is of the Hartree-Fock type. The basis set used is of 6–31G quality. The spatial delocalization of the atoms leads to a deshielding of both types of benzene nuclei relative to the shieldings experienced at the minimum of the potential energy surface. This deshielding has to be traced back to bond length elongations in thermal equilibrium. The influence of the nuclear fluctuations on the NMR parameters of benzene is quantum driven up to temperatures of 400 K; classical fluctuations are of minor importance in this low-temperature window.  相似文献

We use holographic techniques for the investigation of strongly oxidized LiNbO3:Fe crystals with small Fe2+ concentrations and compare the results with theoretical predictions. Experimental evidence is presented for enhanced phase shifts between light intensity pattern and refractive index grating and for limitations of optically induced space charge fields in photovoltaic crystals due to the low concentration of filled traps. Our findings do not support the model of a nonlocal photovoltaic effect in LiNbO3.  相似文献

The FXLMS algorithm, which is extensively used in active noise control, exhibits frequency dependent convergence behavior. This leads to degraded performance for time-varying and multiple frequency signals. A new algorithm called the eigenvalue equalization filtered-x least mean squares (EE-FXLMS) has been developed to overcome this limitation without increasing the computational burden of the controller. The algorithm is easily implemented for either single or multichannel control. The magnitude coefficients of the secondary path transfer function estimate are altered while preserving the phase. For a reference signal that has the same magnitude at all frequencies, the secondary path estimate is given a flat response over frequency. For a reference signal that contains tonal components of unequal magnitudes, the magnitude coefficients of the secondary path are adjusted to be the inverse magnitude of the reference tones. Both modifications reduce the variation in the eigenvalues of the filtered-x autocorrelation matrix and lead to increased performance. Experimental results show that the EE-FXLMS algorithm provides 3.5-4.4 dB additional attenuation at the error sensor compared to normal FXLMS control. The EE-FXLMS algorithm's convergence rate at individual frequencies is faster and more uniform than the normal FXLMS algorithm with several second improvement being seen in some cases.  相似文献

One design for three-dimensional multimicrophone probes is the four-microphone orthogonal design consisting of one microphone at an origin position with the other three microphones equally spaced along the three coordinate axes. Several distinct processing methods have been suggested for the estimation of active acoustic intensity with the orthogonal probe; however, the relative merits of each method have not been thoroughly studied. This comparative study is an investigation of the errors associated with each method. Considered are orthogonal probes consisting of matched point sensor microphones both freely suspended and embedded on the surface of a rigid sphere. Results are given for propagating plane-wave fields for all angles of incidence. It is shown that the lowest error for intensity magnitude results from having the microphones in a sphere and using just one microphone for the pressure estimate. For intensity direction, the lowest error results from having the microphones in a sphere and using Taylor approximations to estimate the particle velocity and pressure.  相似文献

Multichannel active control has been applied to the global reduction of tonal noise from a cooling fan. In order to achieve consistent far-field attenuation of multiple harmonics of the blade passage frequency (BPF) of the fan, an analytical model has been applied to the control system in order to determine appropriate transducer configurations. The results of the modeling show that the additional global reduction possible by locating acoustically compact secondary sources coplanar with a compact primary source rapidly lessens as the number of symmetrically placed sources is increased beyond three. Furthermore, the model suggests that there are locations in the extreme near field of the sources that can be considered ideal for the minimization of far-field radiated power. Experiments carried out show that a four-channel control system is more effective than a two-channel system at achieving far-field attenuations, especially at the higher harmonics of the BPF for the fan tested. In addition, greater far-field mean-square pressure attenuations are achieved with the error microphones located along the calculated ideal regions than for nonideal placement.  相似文献
