Nonequilibrium nuclear polarization in the photolysis of aniline solutions

Conclusions Negative polarization of the protons of aniline and other compounds is observed upon the photoexcitation of aniline solutions. Photolysis of a methanolic solution of benzyl acetate in low acoustic fields

Photolysis of acetone in carbon tetrachloride

Conclusions The efficient photolysis of acetone proceeds upon the photoexcitation of the donor-acceptor complex of acetone and CCl₄ by light with 300 > < 330 nm with the formation of chloroketones and CHC1₃ as the major products. Synthesis of 2-(2-Naphthyl)quinolines from Z-3-(2-Naphthyl)-3-chloro-2-propenal

By reaction of Z-3-(2-naphthyl)-3-chloro-2-propenal and aromatic amines 1-(2-naphthyl)-3-iminoaryl-1-propenylarylamines were prepared which at heating in the glacial acetic acid afforded the corresponding 2-(2-naphthyl)quinolines.     

NMR determination of the composition of balsams from scotch pine resin

We have used ¹H and ¹³C NMR spectroscopy to study the composition of pine resin balsams from Scotch pines grown in different regions of the Republic of Belarus. We have established that their chemical composition does not depend very much on the region where they are grown or the level of contamination of the forests by radioactive and industrial emissions. NMR analysis of oils from pine nuts (<Emphasis Type="Italic">Pinus sibirica</Emphasis>) and seeds of common pine (<Emphasis Type="Italic">Pinus silvestris L.</Emphasis>)

We studied the fatty-acid composition of oils from pine nuts and seeds of common pine using PMR and ¹³C NMR and gas chromatography. We found that the main components of the glycerides are palmitic, stearic, oleic, linoleic, γ-linolenic, pinolenic, and cis-9-eicosenoic acids. 2-Carene in the Prins reaction

The Prins reaction of 2-carene with formaldehyde has been studied. The main reaction product is 2-hydroxymethyl-3-carene. Effect of an external magnetic field on photolysis of aqueous solutions of cyclohexanone

The effect of an external magnetic field on the ratio of the yields of the basic products of photolysis of aqueous solutions of cyclohexanone was investigated by high-resolution NMR spectroscopy. It was shown that the magnetic field does not significantly affect the yield of the products of the reaction with a 0.2 M concentration of the starting ketone, the yield of 5-hexenal decreases, and the yield of caproic acid and the rate of photolysis increase below 0.02 M. Preparative Synthesis of 4,4'-Bis[5-alkyl(aryl)benzoxazol-2-yl]biphenyls

An attempt was made to prepare 4,4'-bis[5-alkyl(aryl)benzoxazol-2-yl]biphenyls by reaction of dimethyl 4,4'-biphenyldicarboxylate with substituted o-aminophenols in a high-boiling solvent in the presence of boric acid.
