We study a small quantum system (e.g., a simplified model for an atom or molecule) interacting with two bosonic or fermionic
reservoirs (say, photon or phonon fields). We show that the combined system has a family of stationary states parametrized
by two numbers, T
1 and T
2 (‘reservoir temperatures’). If T
1 ≠ T
2, then these states are non-equilibrium stationary states (NESS). In the latter case we show that they have nonvanishing heat
fluxes and positive entropy production and are dynamically asymptotically stable. The latter means that the evolution with
an initial condition, normal with respect to any state where the reservoirs are in equilibria at temperatures T
1 and T
2, converges to the corresponding NESS. Our results are valid for the temperatures satisfying the bound min (T
1,T
2) > g
2 + α, where g is the coupling constant and 0 < α < 1 is a power related to the infra-red behaviour of the coupling functions.

We study a simplified mean field model of superconductor dynamics in the
presence of impurities or for variable superconductor depth. This model is
given by the gradient-flow version of the Ginzburg-Landau equations
(Gorkov-Eliashberg equations) with an addition of a potential term. We find
a dynamical law of motion of the vortex center, involving the potential, such
that for datum close to a (static) magnetic vortex the solution

The efficiency of parallel implementations of the branch-and-bound method in discrete optimization problems is considered. A theoretical analysis and comparison of two parallel implementations of this method is performed. A mathematical model of the computation process is constructed and used to obtain estimates of the maximum possible speedup. We study the collision of two fast solitons for the nonlinear Schrödinger equation in the presence of a slowly varying external potential. For a high initial relative speed ||v|| of the solitons, we show that, up to times of order ||v|| after the collision, the solitons preserve their shape (in L 2-norm), and the dynamics of the centers of mass of the solitons is approximately determined by the external potential, plus error terms due to radiation damping and the extended nature of the solitons. We remark on how to obtain longer time scales under stronger assumptions on the initial condition and the external potential. 相似文献

The “soft” transverse mode of gapless excitations related to the deformation of a triangular Abrikosov lattice with a single flux quantum per unit cell at an arbitrary value of the Ginzburg–Landau parameter κ is investigated. An Abrikosov lattice with the angle φ = π/3 between the unit cell vectors is shown to be unstable in a narrow range of values, 1 < κ < 1.000634. The excitation spectrum of the mode under consideration at low values of the momentum k (in the k2 approximation) is isotropic at k lying in a plane perpendicular to the magnetic field. 相似文献
