Equilibria Between Molecular and Ionic Complexes with an NH⋯N Hydrogen Bond. Fluorinated Aromatic Amine as a Proton Donor

Ultraviolet absorption spectra in the range 300-200 K were used to study the composition and structure of complexes formed in solutions by the fluorinated amine (4-CF3C6F4)2NH as a proton donor with dibutylamine. A program is developed for quantitative analysis of sets of the spectra of equilibrium multicomponent systems, that allow to find spectral and thermodynamic characteristics of the individual components. In the systems in study, 1:1 and 1:2 fluorinated diamine-dibutylamine complexes are formed. The first of them in a molecular complex with an NHN hydrogen bond, and the second is an ionic proton-transfer complex. The equilibrium constants between the complexes and the free molecules are found, the enthalpies and entropies of formation of both complexes are found, and the spectra of the complexes are measured.     

Coalescence and break-up of drops in two-phase flows

The systematic experimental study of physical phenomena taking place at collisions of drops of water, water-glycerine solutions and transformer oil moving with moderate and high relative velocities has been carried out. The cases of drops interaction of one fluid and various fluids are considered. The regularities of drops collisions both in the quiescent and the moving gaseous medium have been studied. It has been stated that interaction is almost always accompanied by breaking a large drop with forming a certain amount of polydisperse fragments. The generalizing formulae are obtained for the parameter of coalescence and break-up Φ_ji, as well as for the function of fragments distribution by their size and initial velocity.     

Experimental investigation of mass and momentum transfer in drop-wall interaction

The methods and results of an experimental investigation of the dynamic interaction between drops and dry and wet rigid surfaces are described. Numerical investigation of two-phase flow with coagulation and fragmentation of particles in axisymmetric laval nozzles

The method and results of a calculation of the parameters of a polydis-perse two-phase flow with coagulation and fragmentation of particles in collisions are described. The problem is considered in a two-dimensional formulation.
