The thermolysis of the zinc trimethylsilylchalcogenolate complexes (N,N′-tmeda)Zn(ESiMe3)2 (E = S, 1; E = Se, 2) and (3,5-Me2-C5H3N)2Zn(ESiMe3)2 (E = S, 3; E = Se, 4) has been investigated. Solid-state thermal decomposition of complexes 1–4 above 250°C results in the formation of hexagonal ZnS and cubic ZnSe, respectively, via the liberation of TMEDA (12) or 3,5-lutidine (34) and E(SiMe3)2. Solid-state or solution thermolysis of these complexes up to 200°C produces nanocrystalline ZnS and ZnSe materials whose surface is protected by either coordinated TMEDA or 3,5-lutidine ligands. The progress of the step-wise solid-state decomposition of these complexes was monitored by thermogravimetric and single differential thermal analysis and volatile decomposition products in both solution and solid-state experiments were identified by GC/MS.Dedicated to Professor Brian F. Herein the present article reports the fabrication of ZnO/reduced graphene oxide (ZnG) nanohybrid following a reduction-based process using a non-hazardous material, i.e., ascorbic acid. The morphology, structure, and bonding in the nanohybrid were analyzed using different techniques. Atomic force microscopy and scanning electron microscopy images show spherical particles of ZnO distributed over reduced graphene oxide (rGO). The X-ray diffraction analysis gives calculated values of crystallite size for ZnO as 15.62 nm. The successful incorporation of ZnO nanoparticles into rGO was confirmed using energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy analyses. The electrochemical studies were performed using an electrolyte (0.5 M H2SO4). The calculated value of specific capacitance for the nanohybrid was 345 Fg-1, which was found to be almost double as compared to that of rGO, which is having a value of only 190.5 Fg-1 at the same scan rate. The nanohybrid also showed excellent capacitance retention after 1,000 cycles.  相似文献

The trans‐bis(trimethylsilyl)chalcogenolate palladium complexes, trans‐[Pd(ESiMe3)2(PnBu3)2] [E = S ( 1 ) and Se ( 2 )] were synthesized in good yields and high purity by reacting trans‐[PdCl2(PBu3)2] with LiESiMe3 (E = S, Se), respectively. These complexes were characterized by 1H, 13C{1H}, 31P{1H} (and 77Se{1H}) NMR spectroscopy and single‐crystal X‐ray analysis. The reaction of 2 with propionyl chloride led to the formation of trans‐[Pd(SeC(O)CH2CH3)2(PnBu3)2] ( 3 ), a trans‐bis(selenocarboxylato) palladium complex and thus established a new method for the formation of this type of complex. Complex 3 was characterized by 1H, 13C{1H}, 31P{1H} and 77Se{1H} NMR spectroscopy and a single‐crystal X‐ray structure analysis.  相似文献

In this second part of the series of investigations involving the postpolymerization modification of a hydroxy monolith (OHM) capillary column, the surface hydroxyl groups were reacted with epoxy biphenyl thus yielding the so‐called Biphenyl OHM capillary column. The modification involved the epoxy ring opening of the 2‐biphenylyl glycidyl ether catalyzed by BF3 and its subsequent reaction with the hydroxyl groups on the OHM precursor surface. The Biphenyl OHM capillary column thus obtained exhibited the typical reversed phase behavior by primarily hydrophobic interactions vis‐à‐vis the homologous series of alkyl benzenes and in addition by π–π interactions toward nitroalkane homologous series via their π‐electron rich nitro groups. This dual retention mechanism was very distinctly observed with a set of PAH solutes in the sense that the k values of the PAH solutes were comparable to those obtained on a more non polar stationary phase, namely the Epoxy OHM C‐16 reported in the preceding article. Other aromatic solutes showed the dual retention mechanism on the Biphenyl OHM capillary including phenols, anilines derivatives, and phenoxy acid herbicides. The Biphenyl OHM capillary exhibited good reproducibility from run‐to‐run, day‐to‐day, and column‐to‐column.  相似文献

The simultaneous generations of bright Stokes and anti-Stokes fields are realized by using only one pump field in a Doppler-broadened atomic medium confined in an optical ring cavity. A vacuum-induced absorption phenomenon is also observed in such a system. By utilizing an external Fabry-Perot cavity to separate the Stokes and anti-Stokes fields, we investigate the noise correlation and anticorrelation properties between the Stokes, anti-Stokes, and the pump fields.  相似文献

The ternary clusters (tmeda)(6)Zn(14-x)Mn(x)S(13)Cl(2) (1a-d) and (tmeda)(6)Zn(14-x)Mn(x)Se(13)Cl(2) (2a-d), (tmeda = N,N,N',N'-tetramethylethylenediamine; x ≈ 2-8) and the binary clusters (tmeda)(6)Zn(14)E(13)Cl(2) (E = S, 3; Se, 4;) have been isolated by reacting (tmeda)Zn(ESiMe(3))(2) with Mn(II) and Zn(II) salts. Single crystal X-ray analysis of the complexes confirms the presence of the six "(tmeda)ZnE(2)" units as capping ligands that stabilize the clusters, and distorted tetrahedral geometry around the metal centers. Mn(II) is incorporated into the ZnE framework by substitution of Zn(II) ions in the cluster. The polynuclear complexes (tmeda)(6)Zn(12.3)Mn(1.7)S(13)Cl(2)1a, (tmeda)(6)Zn(12.0)Mn(2.0)Se(13)Cl(2)2a, and (tmeda)(6)Zn(8.4)Mn(5.6)Se(13)Cl(2)2d represent the first examples of "Mn/ZnE" clusters with structural characterization and indications of the local chemical environment of the Mn(II) ions. The incorporation of higher amounts of Mn into 1d and 2d has been confirmed by elemental analysis. Density functional theory (DFT) calculations indicate that replacement of Zn with Mn is perfectly feasible and at least partly allows for the identification of some sites preferred by the Mn(II) metals. These calculations, combined with luminescence studies, suggest a distribution of the Mn(II) in the clusters. The room temperature emission spectra of clusters 1c-d display a significant red shift relative to the all zinc cluster 3, with a peak maximum centered at 730 nm. Clusters 2c-d display a peak maximum at 640 nm in their emission spectra.  相似文献

Fusion cross sections were measured for the exotic proton-halo nucleus ?B incident on a ??Ni target at several energies near the Coulomb barrier. This is the first experiment to report on the fusion of a proton-halo nucleus. The resulting excitation function shows a striking enhancement with respect to expectations for normal projectiles. Evidence is presented that the sum of the fusion and breakup yields saturates the total reaction cross section.  相似文献

Thermodynamic and structural properties of mixing of molten Tl–Na alloys at 673 K have been investigated using quasi-chemical model. To understand the mixing behaviour in more detail, emphasis is placed on the role of interaction energy term, and viscosity and surface tension of the alloys have also been analysed under statistical considerations. Our study shows negative deviation from the Raoultian behaviour in the properties of Tl–Na alloy thereby indicating hetero-coordination in the Tl–Na melt at 673 K in the full range of concentration. Theoretically, computed thermodynamic data at 673 K agree very well with the corresponding experimental data. The viscosities of the alloys computed from Kaptay equation show small negative deviation and those computed from Singh and Sommer’s formulation show small positive deviation from ideal values while the Budai-Benko-Kaptay equation predicts noticeable negative deviation in Na-rich end and positive deviation in Tl-rich end of the composition. The calculations of surface tension reveal that results obtained from layered structure approach and compound formation model are in good agreement in the Na-rich side and in reasonable agreement in Tl-rich side of the composition, while those computed from Butler equation show noticeable deviations in the intermediate compositions. Both the viscosity and surface tension of liquid Tl–Na alloys increase with addition of Tl-component, viscosity having approximately linear variation with concentration. The study shows that there is non-linear variation in surface composition with bulk concentration and for most of the compositions the surface of the alloy is enriched with Na-atoms which segregate to the surface.  相似文献

The ligation of a N-heterocyclic carbene (NHC) to group 11 metal salts (Cu, Ag) was explored as an alternative to PR(3) ligands for the formation of copper- and silver-chalcogenolate cluster complexes. AgOAc and CuCl salts ligate with the NHC 1,3-di-isopropylbenzimidazole-2-ylidene ((i)Pr(2)-bimy) forming [Ag(OAc)((i)Pr(2)-bimy)] 1, [Ag(OAc)((i)Pr(2)-bimy)(2)] 2, [CuCl((i)Pr(2)-bimy)](2)3 and [CuCl((i)Pr(2)-bimy)(2)] 4 depending on the ratio of ligand to metal used. These have been characterized via spectroscopic and crystallographic methods. Complexes 1 and 3 were reacted with S(Ph)SiMe(3) and Se(Ph)SiMe(3) to form the polynuclear metal-chalcogenolates [Ag(4)(μ-EPh)(4)((i)Pr(2)-bimy)(4)] (5, E = S; 6, E = Se) and [Cu(3)(μ-EPh)(3)((i)Pr(2)-bimy)(3)] (7, E = S; 8, E = Se) in good yields. The structures of 5-8, as determined by single crystal X-ray crystallography, are described.  相似文献
