Effect of a thermal radiation field on the γ-luminescence of alkali-silicate glass

We revealed the changes in the γ-luminescence spectra under the influence of a thermal radiation field on high-purity alkali-silicate glasses (I) and those with addition of Fe³⁺ ions (II). We explain the obtained results within the framework of the L-model of edge absorption and electron-hole recombination processes. Chiral methylbenzylammonium salts of aryldithiophosphonic acids containing glucofuranose,allofuranose, and galactopyranose diacetonide scaffolds

Abstract

New chiral methylbenzylammonium salts of aryldithiophosphonic acids containing glucofuranose, allofuranose, and galactopyranose diacetonide substituents were obtained using (S)-(–)-α-methylbenzylamine, (R)-(+)-α-methylbenzylamine, and (R,S)-(±)-α-methylbenzylamine. Salts obtained possess antimicrobial activity.     

Structure-NMR chemical shift relationships for novel functionalized derivatives of quinoxalines

(1)H, (13)C and (15)N NMR chemical shifts for a variety of novel quinoxalines were determined by different 2D methods and were calculated using the GIAO DFT approach. Comparison with experimental data shows good correlations in the case of (1)H, (13)C and (15)N chemical shifts. Different combinations of basis sets were tested. In non-polar solvents quinoxalines exist as dimers owing to strong hydrogen bonding. Calculations for dimers improve the correlation between experiment and theory. Additive empirical methods for estimating chemical shifts have drawbacks and have to be used with a great care for this type of compound.

The problems of synthesis and transformations of new organoelement reagents containing sulfur, silicon and phosphorus (S-P-O-Si, P(S)-S-Si) are discussed.     

REACTIONS OF TETRAPHOSPHORUS DECASULFIDE AND LAWESSON'S REAGENT WITH SILANES CONTAINING A FEW Si-O BONDS

Abstract

The reactions of tetraphosphorus decasulfide and Lawesson's reagent with tetra-, tri- and dialkoxysilanes were studied. On the basis of these reactions, new S-silyl esters of phosphorus(V) thioacids have been prepared. The prepared compounds were identified by IR, ¹H, and ³¹P NMR and mass spectra as well as elemental analyses.
