Near rings without zero divisors, and a dual structure, near codomains, are studied. It is shown that a near ring is a near field if and only if it is an integral near ring, a near codomain, and has a non-zero distributive element. If the additive group (N, +) of a near integral domainN is cohopfian, then (N, +) possesses a fixed point free automorphism which is either torsion free or of prime order. This generalizes a well-known theorem of Ligh for finite near integral domains. A result ofGanesan [1] on the non-zero divisors in a finite ring is generalized to near rings. 相似文献

Let be any locally compact non-discrete field. We show that finite invariant measures for -algebraic actions are obtained only via actions of compact groups. This extends both Borel's density and fixed point theorems over local fields (for semisimple/solvable groups, resp.). We then prove that for -algebraic actions, finitely additive finite invariant measures are obtained only via actions of amenable groups. This gives a new criterion for Zariski density of subgroups and is shown to have representation theoretic applications. The main one is to Kazhdan's property for algebraic groups, which we investigate and strengthen.

An analytic formulation is given for the total potential in atomic and molecular systems, based on the electrostatic approach from the Hellmann-Feynman theorem. The potential function is obtained from the analytic solution of the Poisson equation using charge densities expressed as a superposition of gaussian functions. The method is independent of the specific LCAO approximation used for the calculation of the charge distribution function. The calculation of the potential and its derivatives to a rapid algorithm form, which can be used for the evaluation of various electronic properties and the treatment of experimental situation, even for large molecular systems. 相似文献

We suggest to use stochastic differential equations for laser-plasma problems. Using this technique we solve analytically the motion of the electrons at the critical layer and calculate the density profile scaling length (L). For an Nd laser flux of 1017 W/cm2 we estimate L ≈ 0.15 μm, while for a CO2 laser flux of 1015 W/cm2 we get L ≈ 1.5 μm. 相似文献

Solid reagents, leaching catalysts, and heterogeneous photocatalysts are commonly employed in batch processes but are ill‐suited for continuous‐flow chemistry. Heterogeneous catalysts for thermal reactions are typically used in packed‐bed reactors, which cannot be penetrated by light and thus are not suitable for photocatalytic reactions involving solids. We demonstrate that serial micro‐batch reactors (SMBRs) allow for the continuous utilization of solid materials together with liquids and gases in flow. This technology was utilized to develop selective and efficient fluorination reactions using a modified graphitic carbon nitride heterogeneous catalyst instead of costly homogeneous metal polypyridyl complexes. The merger of this inexpensive, recyclable catalyst and the SMBR approach enables sustainable and scalable photocatalysis. 相似文献

Using mutually modulated cross-gain modulation, Stokes optical frequency changes are converted into modulation phase changes with high sensitivity. In the slow-light transition regime, we demonstrate kilohertz sensitivity to the Stokes optical carrier frequency.
