Synthesis of dihalocarbene derivatives of estafiatin guaianolide

Thermochemistry of potassium morpholinodithiocarbamate

Results of thermochemical studies of a new compound, potassium morpholinodithiocarbamate, are presented. The enthalpies of its solution in water at various dilutions and the specific heat at 173–348 K were examined by the experimental methods of isothermal and dynamic calorimetry.     

Sesquiterpene Lactones and Flavonoids from <Emphasis Type="Italic">Artemisia albida</Emphasis>

The five known lactones matricarin, austricin, canin, and achillin guaianolides and argolide germacranolide and the two flavonoids eupatilin and its 7-O-methyl ester were isolated for the first time from the aerial part of Artemisia albida Willd. Molecular and crystal structure of the sequiterpene lactone austricin

An x-ray structural study has been made of the sesquiterpene lactone austricin: diffractometer, MoK radiation, 1147 reflections, direct method, R=0.045. The spatial structure of the molecule has been determined. The conformation of the pentane carbocycle is 1-envelope, of the heptane ring 1,10, 7-chair, and of the lactone ring 7-envelope. The structure of lappacontine hydrobromide hydrate was solved by an x-ray structure analysis.     

Molecular and crystal structure of the germacranolide argolide from Artemisia glabella

The new germacranolide argolide has been isolated from the epigeal part ofArtemisia glabella, and its structure has been shown by its conversion into oxopelenolide B. From the results of an x-ray investigation it is suggested that argolide has the spatial structure of 3-oxo-4α,7α,6β(H)-germacra-1(10),11(13)-dien-6,12-olide. Structure of subchrysin

A new sesquiterpene lactone having the structure 3-acetoxy-1-hydroxy-6, 7(H)-germacra-4,10(14), 11(13)-trien-6, 12-olide has been isolated fromArtemisia subchrysolepis Filat. and has been called subchrysin. Crystal structure of a tetrabromo derivative of cyclopropyldihydroarglabin and its antifungal activity

A tetrabromo derivative of arglabin was synthesized stereoselectively. The molecular structure of the new compound was established using PMR and 13C NMR spectra and an x-ray structure analysis.
