Confirmations of the successful synthesis of a particular zeolite demand investigation of the crystals by XRD, SEM, MAS-NMR and chemical analysis. In this work, we have used the DTA exothermic lattice breakdown of theA-zeolite, which gives typical peaks at around 900–1200°C for characterization. The effects ofpH, concentration, time of crystallization and temperature were studied and it was quickly and easily possible to distinguishA-zeolite formation from others originating from the synthesis matrix under different conditions by using DTA/TG analyses. The parameters were optimized for the synthesis of the zeolite and DTA measurements yielded enough information to identify theA-zeolite; this was confirmed by XRD and SEM. 相似文献

Isocratic reversed-phase liquid chromatography (LC) method was developed using acetonitrile and water for the determination of diospyrin, a pharmacologically important bisnaphthoquinonoid plant-product. The method was validated for precision, accuracy and reproducibility, and was found to be linear over the concentration range of 1-1000 microg/ml; the limits of detection and quantitation were 8 and 20 ng, respectively. The technique was used to determine the amount of diospyrin in plant extracts from four climatic regions in India. It was also applied for differentiation and separation of 27 naphthyl compounds. While a composition of 50:50 was preferable for dimeric compounds, the composition 40:60 was a better choice for the monomers. Also, the isomeric alpha- and beta-naphthols and their dimers could be distinguished by conversion into the respective methyl ethers. 相似文献

The compound 4 propyl paraethoxy phenyl cyclohexyl carboxylate (code name D302) is a member of a homologous series and exhibits liquid crystalline (nematic) behavior in the temperature range 48°C to 78°C. An experiment has been set up for conducting X-ray studies of liquid crystal samples at various temperatures. From X-ray studies conducted at different temperatures on D302, the apparent molecular length and inter-molecular distance and their temperature dependence have been determined. The variation of the orientational-order parameter <P2>xray has been determined from the intensities of the scanned X-ray photographs taken at different temperatures. The results have been compared with the<P2>opt values obtained by us from birefringence studies. 相似文献

This study was conducted in a continuous three-stage system of anaerobic (R1)-anoxic(R2)-aerobic (R3) reactors with synthetic
wastewater containing phenol (1000 mg/L), chemical oxygen demand (COD) (3000 mg/L), CN− (30 mg/L), SCN−(400 mg/L), and NH
4
+
-N (600 mg/L) as principal pollutants and well-acclimated heterogeneous microbial cultures. The final effluent was partially
returned to R2 with a recycle ratio of 1. Anaerobic stage served to detoxify the feed by removing up to 80% of cyanide. Complete
SCN− removal and denitrification could be achieved in the anoxic stage by utilizing phenol as an internal source of carbon. Nitrification
efficiency of 93% was obtained in the aerobic reactor. The results demonstrated that the three-stage system can give the desired
final treated effluent quality (0 mg/L of phenol, 0.2 mg/L of CN−, 210 mg/L of COD, and 20 mg/L of NH
4
+
-N) and that the NO
3
−

Naphthalene analogues of chalcone (typical vinylarenes) are well known for their intramolecular charge transfer (CT) process. The all four possible isomers NC1, NC2, NC3 and NC4 were observed to give structure-less broad CT bands, whereas, excimer formation at higher concentration was reported only for NC4 [Res. Chem. Intermed. 25 (1999) 903]. However, conventional GMMX calculation data reveals that the naphthalene portion of all the isomers are planar, hence, excimer emission is expected from all of them, i.e., if NC4 can form an excimer, then the rests are also capable of doing it. In this paper we have actually succeeded in resolving the excimer peaks for all these four isomers by optimization of concentration, though the extent of excimer formation was observed to be the maximum for NC4. These differential tendencies of excimer formation can be explained by the change in extent of intermolecular stacking interaction of the naphthalene moieties. Variation occurs here due to steric perturbation arising from the specific orientation of the near resident non-planar aroyl component with respect to the naphthalene moiety. 相似文献

Increased oxidative stress in metabolic complications like type 2 diabetes, dyslipidemia and cardiovascular disorders exerts potential health hazards in many facets. Enhanced production of reactive oxygen species (ROS) due to increased oxidative stress promotes the damage of many biologically important macromolecules. Hypochlorous acid (HOCl), a microbicidal agent is also known to be an important ROS sub-species. An enhanced generation of endogenous HOCl due to diseased condition therefore can be detrimental to health. In present work, a new quinoline-diaminomaleonitrile based probe (HQMN) has been designed for the selective detection of hypochlorite. The probe in hand shows a selective ratiometric emission change towards OCl?. The probe behaves as a highly selective and sensitive tool for the detection of OCl? over other analytes with a fast response time (within 100 s). Bioimaging study revealed that HQMN can detect endogenous OCl? in human monocytes and an increase in endogenous HOCl concentration has been witnessed in diabetic condition compared to healthy control. Thus HQMN can be used as an excellent fluorescent probe for dynamic tracking of hypochorite in living biological cells especially to identify diabetic conditions. 相似文献
