Although the compression ignition engines are a significant source of power, their detrimental emissions create considerable problems to the environment as well as to humans. The objective of the present experimental investigation is to examine the effects of the magnetic nanofluid fuels on combustion performance characteristics and exhaust emissions. In this regard, the Fe3O4 nanoparticles dispersed in the diesel fuel with the nanoparticle concentrations of 0.4 and 0.8 vol% were employed for combustion in a single-cylinder, direct-injection diesel engine. After a series of experiments, it was demonstrated that the nanoparticle additives, even at very low concentrations, have considerable influence in diesel engine characteristics. Furthermore, the results indicated that the nanofluid fuel with nanoparticle concentration of 0.4 vol% shows better combustion characteristics in comparison with that of 0.8 vol%. Based on the experimental results, NOx and SO2 emissions dramatically reduce, while CO emissions and smoke opacity noticeably increase with increasing the dosing level of nanoparticles. 相似文献
The catalytic activity of an oxidovanadium(IV) unsymmetrical Schiff base complex supported on γ-Fe2O3 magnetic nanoparticles, γ-Fe2O3@[VO(salenac-OH)] in which salenac-OH?=?[9-(2′,4′-dihydroxyphenyl)-5,8-diaza-4-methylnona-2,4,8-trienato](-2), was explored in the oxidation of hydrocarbons with tert-butyl hydroperoxide (TBHP, 70% aqueous solution) as oxidant. High catalytic activity and selectivity were demonstrated by this magnetic nanocatalyst in alkane hydroxylation and alkene epoxidation, and the corresponding products were obtained with good to excellent yields in acetonitrile at 50 °C. Reasonable catalytic activity was presented by this supported catalyst in the epoxidation of linear alkenes under optimal reaction conditions. In addition, alkylbenzene derivatives and cycloalkanes can be oxidized to their corresponding alcohols and ketones with good yields in this catalytic system. It is possible to magnetically separate the γ-Fe2O3@[VO(salenac-OH)] catalyst and reuse it four times without losing the activity significantly. Moreover, the catalyst structure and morphology do not change after recovery, as indicated by comparing scanning electron microscopy (SEM) image, Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) and diffuse reflectance spectrum (DRS) of the recovered catalyst with those of the fresh catalyst.
The16O+15N reaction products have been studied by the γ-ray detection method in the CM energy range 15.5 to 36.1 MeV and by the kinematical coincidence method at energies ranging from ECM=20.6 to 33.5MeV. The γ-ray yield excitation function of the16O 3?inelastic channel shows the existence of resonant structures. Two structures with ~ 1.6 MeV width are observed in the large angle elastic scattering excitation function, they are correlated with the resonances seen in the inelastic channel. Angular momentum assignments were made from the elastic backward angular distributions. 相似文献
Rieske dioxygenases are metalloenzymes capable of achieving cis-dihydroxylation of aromatics under mild conditions using O2 and a source of electrons. The intermediate responsible for this reactivity is proposed to be a cis-FeV(O)(OH) moiety. Molecular models allow the generation of a FeIII(OOH) species with H2O2, to yield a FeV(O)(OH) species with tetradentate ligands, or {FeIV(O); OH.} pairs with pentadentate ones. We have designed a new pentadentate ligand, mtL42, bearing a labile triazole, to generate an “in-between” situation. Two iron complexes, [(mtL42)FeCl](PF6) and [(mtL42)Fe(OTf)2]), were obtained and their reactivity towards aromatic substrates was studied in the presence of H2O2. Spectroscopic and kinetic studies reflect that triazole is bound at the FeII state, but decoordinates in the FeIII(OOH). The resulting [(mtL42)FeIII(OOH)(MeCN)]2+ then lies on a bifurcated decay pathway (end-on homolytic vs. side-on heterolytic) depending on the addition of aromatic substrate: in the absence of substrate, it is proposed to follow a side-on pathway leading to a putative (N4)FeV(O)(OH), while in the presence of aromatics it switches to an end-on homolytic pathway yielding a {(N5)FeIV(O); OH.} reactive species, through recoordination of triazole. This switch significantly impacts the reaction regioselectivity. 相似文献
This study is devoted to the determination of percentages of fluoride and chloride in Ebrié located in Abidjan and wells located in the central and southern areas of Ivory Coast. Nondispersive X-Ray Fluorescence method and potentometric method with ion sensitive electrodes have been used. For underground water, the concentrations obtained are, with the exception of some isolated cases, lower than the upper limits tolerated for drinking water. These waters are drinkable. In a lagunal environment, the results show that the elements drawn from the bottom of the sea, through the Vridi Canal, spread in the lagoon. The ratio of the concentration of elements and the corresponding salinity confirm the fact that chloride undergoes an essential dilution in the lagoon due to contact with continental waters. A semi-diurnal periodicity of the concentration of elements has been firmly established. This period is the same as the tidal one. 相似文献
