In this study, we used direct molecular exfoliation for the rapid, facile, large-scale fabrication of single-layered graphene oxide nanosheets (GOSs). Using macromolecular polyaniline (PANI) as a layered space enlarger, we readily and rapidly synthesized individual GOSs at room temperature through the in situ polymerization of aniline on the 2D GOS platform. The chemically modified GOS platelets formed unique 2D-layered GOS/PANI hybrids, with the PANI nanorods embedded between the GO interlayers and extended over the GO surface. X-ray diffraction revealed that intergallery expansion occurred in the GO basal spacing after the PANI nanorods had anchored and grown onto the surface of the GO layer. Transparent folding GOSs were, therefore, observed in transmission electron microscopy images. GOS/PANI nanohybrids possessing high conductivities and large work functions have the potential for application as electrode materials in optoelectronic devices. Our dispersion/exfoliation methodology is a facile means of preparing individual GOS platelets with high throughput, potentially expanding the applicability of nanographene oxide materials.  相似文献

A phosphorus-containing epoxy resin, bis(3-t-butyl-4-glycidyloxyphenyl-2,4-di-t-butylphenyl)resorcinol diphosphate, was synthesized and subsequently cured with non-phosphorus containing amines, and/or novel phosphorus-containing aromatic or polyoxyalkylene amines. Chemical structures of these materials were characterized with FTIR, NMR, elemental analysis, and amine titration. The introduction of soft -P-O- linkage, polyoxyalkyene, or hard aromatic group into the backbones of the synthesized phosphorus-containing amines provides epoxy polymers with high phosphorus contents and tailored flexibility. Thermal analysis of differential scanning calorimeter and thermal gravimetric analysis (TGA) reveals that these resulted epoxy polymers possess moderate Tgs and thermal stability. Furthermore, high char yields in TGA analysis and high limited oxygen index values indicate that these phosphorus-containing epoxy polymers possess excellent flame retardant properties.  相似文献

A new series of ferroelectric liquid crystals and side chain liquid crystalline polymers based on halogen-containing chiral centres has been synthesized. Chemical structures were analysed by NMR. Liquid crystal phases were characterized by differential scanning calorimetry, optical polarizing microscopy, and X-ray diffractometry. The behaviour of the liquid crystalline phases was investigated as a function of spacer units and differing terminal asymmetric moieties. It was found that phase transition temperatures decreased with increasing length of the oligooxyethylene spacer unit. Differing terminal asymmetric moieties led to differing mesophase phenomena. Furthermore, a wide temperature range (including room temperature) of a chiral smectic C phase was achieved.  相似文献

A new series of halogen-containing side chain ferroelectric liquid crystal polymers was synthesized. Mesophases were characterized by differential scanning calorimetry, polarizing optical microscopy, X-ray diffraction and molecular simulation. The behaviour of the liquid crystalline phase was investigated with variation of chiral centres, spacer units and grafted ratios. It was found that the thermal stability and temperature range of the chiral smectic C phase decreased with increasing length of the oligo-oxyethylene spacer, and decreasing mesogenic group content. The bulky substituent attached to the chiral centre reduces molecular packing in smectic liquid crystal phases, which disturbs the orientation of the side chain liquid crystal polymer. Furthermore, the influence of molecular structure on electrooptical properties of FLCPs has been studied by broad band dielectric spectroscopy (from 0.1 to 1 ×10 6 Hz).  相似文献

The dielectric behavior of a series of ferroelectric side-chain liquid crystalline polysiloxanes containing 1–3 oligooxyethylene units as spacers, and 4-(S)-2-methyl-1-butyl[[[(4-hydroxy-biphenyl-4′-yl)]carbonyl]oxy] benzoate or 4-(S)-2-methyl-1-butyl[[(4-hydroxy-biphenyl-4′-yl)carbonyl]oxy]-3-fluoro benzoate side groups was studied by broadband dielectric spectroscopy. The increase of the spacer length, and incorporation of a strong dipole moment fluoro-substituent into the mesogenic group, resulted in a decrease of the relaxation activation energy and an increase in the intensity of the relaxation. Moreover, the relaxation peak of the Goldstone mode has only been observed for the FLCP with a lateral fluoro-substituent. The relationship between the thermal dynamic behavior and chemical structure is discussed in detail. Furthermore, analysis of the dielectric relaxation behavior of these FLCPs showed that the molecular relaxations could be described by the Cole-Cole equation. © 1996 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.  相似文献

A series of all organic nonlinear optical (NLO) sol-gel materials based on melamines and an azobenzene dye (Disperse Orange 3; DO3) have been investigated. Different contents of DO3 were covalently bonded with the melamine-based organic network via condensation of amino and methylol groups. The optically clear samples exhibited second-order optical nonlinearity (second-harmonic coefficient d33) = 35.4 and 11.5 pm/V at 1064 and 1542 nm, respectively) after poling and curing at 220°C for 1 h. Thermal behavior of these organic NLO sol-gel systems was studied by temperature-dependent dielectric relaxation. The results indicate that the incorporation of rigid NLO-active chromophore into the melamine-based matrix leads to high rigidity and dense packing of the organic network. Subsequently, higher glass transition temperatures were obtained for the organic NLO sol-gel material with higher DO3 content. The influence of composition on the temporal stability at 100°C was also investigated. Temporal stability at 100°C was studied as a function of system composition. © 1999 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. The thermal degradation behaviour of epoxy/unsaturated polyester based polymer interpenetrating networks (IPNs), and unsaturated polyester containing various flame-retardants have been investigated by TGA and Py/GC/MS. The kinetic parameters of various polymers were analysed by conventional and modulated thermogravimetric analysis (MTGA) methods. The activation energies of degradation were calculated by the Coats-Redfern and MTGA methods, respectively. The results of both conventional and MTGA analyses reveal that the decomposition of IPNs consists of two non-interfering decomposition processes for epoxy polymer and cured unsaturated polyester, respectively. For the flame-retardant containing unsaturated polyesters, ammonium polyphosphate (APP) played an important role in the second-step of the pyrolysis reaction of APP-containing samples. It is important to note that the possibilities of reaction order for these pyrolysis processes are significantly distinguishable by Coats-Redfern method. Furthermore, the activation energies for various samples calculated by MTGA method are on average larger than those calculated from the Coats-Redfern method. The results also reveal that when either the flame-retardant or the epoxy was added to the unsaturated polyester, the heat resistance of the unsaturated polyester was enhanced.  相似文献
