We have investigated the supersonic jet spectroscopy and photophysics of 1-methylnaphthalene–fluorene (1MN–FL) cluster, and looked for indications of intramolecular electronic energy transfer (Intra-EET) from the FL (donor, D) to 1MN (acceptor, A). The clusters were identified by their time of flight (TOF) mass spectra. We observed clusters bands in the LIF spectrum near the region of 1MN origin. We have also observed cluster TOF–resonance enhanced multi-photon ionization (REMPI) spectrum near the electronic origin of the fluorene moiety. However, this spectrum was almost independent of the excitation wavelength, and was not observed in the LIF spectrum. This is probably due to fast Intra-EET resulting in lifetime broadening of the donor chromophore cluster spectrum, similar to that observed previously for the naphthalene–anthracene bichromophoric system.  相似文献

CpFe(CO)2[C(OEt)R]BF4 complexes can be prepared by reaction of CpFe(CO)2(isobutylene)BF4 with monoalkylated acetylenes in methylene chloride/ethanol solutions. Methyl propiolate yields methyl trans-2-ethoxy-acrylate, in a reaction catalytic in CpFe(CO)2(isobutylene)BF4, and internal acetylenes can be transformed to CpFe(CO)2(vinyl ether)BF4 complexes.  相似文献

Amorphous films of PdAuSi and PdSi were prepared by bias sputter deposition. Variation of the substrate bias voltage used in rf sputter deposition of PdAuSi films produced changes in chemical composition and thermal behavior as observed by differetial scanning calorimetry. The amount of Ar incorporated during sputtering initially increases with increasing bias voltage, then decreases to a minimum at approximately ?200 V and increases rapidly thereafter. Amorphous films of the binary alloy PdSi were prepared by both rf and dc sputter deposition at a single substrate bias voltage of ?200 V. The heats of crystallization of the ternary sputter deposited films were within 10–20% of those of melt-quenched alloys with similar compositions.  相似文献

We report on tunneling enhancement in a periodically perturbed double well system. The double well system was realized by a structure of two optical waveguides. The transfer of light power from one waveguide to the another as induced by the periodic variations of the waveguide geometry was investigated. Our experimental measurements show that, in the presence of periodic perturbation, this transfer of light power can be enhanced by more than 500 times. We use an analogy between electromagnetic wave optics and the quantum wave phenomena to provide an experimental support to the theoretical model of tunneling enhancement of a quantum particle, facilitated by its interaction with auxiliary quantum states.  相似文献

We explore the degree to which concepts developed in statistical physics can be usefully applied to physiological signals. We illustrate the problems related to physiologic signal analysis with representative examples of human heartbeat dynamics under healthy and pathologic conditions. We first review recent progress based on two analysis methods, power spectrum and detrended fluctuation analysis, used to quantify long-range power-law correlations in noisy heartbeat fluctuations. The finding of power-law correlations indicates presence of scale-invariant, fractal structures in the human heartbeat. These fractal structures are represented by self-affine cascades of beat-to-beat fluctuations revealed by wavelet decomposition at different time scales. We then describe very recent work that quantifies multifractal features in these cascades, and the discovery that the multifractal structure of healthy dynamics is lost with congestive heart failure. We generalize our recent approach to the reconstruction of phase dynamics of coupled oscillators from data [B. Kralemann et al., Phys. Rev. E 77, 066205 (2008)] to cover the case of small networks of coupled periodic units. Starting from a multivariate time series, we first reconstruct genuine phases and then obtain the coupling functions in terms of these phases. Partial norms of these coupling functions quantify directed coupling between oscillators. We illustrate the method by different network motifs for three coupled oscillators and for random networks of five and nine units. We also discuss nonlinear effects in coupling.  相似文献
