A method was developed for the determination of molybdenum (Mo) in human urine by direct dilution of the sample in doubly distilled water with 1% HNO3 (v/v) and inductively coupled mass spectrometry (ICP-MS). In and Y were used as internal standards. Since (98)Mo provides a higher sensitivity, it was chosen as the reference isotope. The influence of different factors, such as sample dilution, HNO3 concentration and the stability of the analyte were evaluated. The detection limit (LOD) was assessed at 0.2 microg/L Mo, while the lower limit of quantification (LOQ) was 0.6 microg/L. Recoveries ranged between 97.2 and 100.7% from solutions containing from 10 to 50 microg/L Mo. Linear calibration curves were generated from 2.1 and 52.1 microg/L with coefficients of variation (CV ) ranging from 1.62 to 3.56%. In order to establish reference values (RV) for molybdenum, the procedure presented here was used to determine Mo in the urine of a population group living in Tuscany, Italy.  相似文献

Soluble forms of aggregated tau misfolded protein, generally termed oligomers, are considered to be the most toxic species of the different assembly states that are the pathological components of neurodegenerative disorders. Therefore, a critical biomedical need exists for imaging probes that can identify and quantify them. We have designed and synthesized a novel fluorescent probe, pTP-TFE for which binding and selectivity profiles towards aggregated tau and Aβ proteins were assessed. Our results have shown pTP-TFE to be selective for early forms of soluble tau aggregates, with high affinity of dissociation constants (Kd) = 66 nM, and tenfold selectivity over mature tau fibrils. Furthermore, we found that pTP-TFE is selective for tau over Aβ aggregates and had good cell permeability. This selectivity of pTP-TFE towards early forms of aggregated tau protein ex vivo was also supported with studies on human brain tissue containing tau and Aβ pathology. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first fluorescent molecule to be reported to have this form of selectivity profile, which suggests that pTP-TFE is a unique probe candidate for imaging-based detection of early stages of Alzheimer''s disease and other tauopathies.

A general oxirane synthesis from a geminal dibromide and a carbonyl compound was studied. The reaction proceeds through an α-bromolithium species, most conveniently generated by reacting a geminal dihalogenide (e.g. ethylidene, isopropylidene, benzylidene bromide and ethyl dibromoacetate) and butyllitium or lithium suspended in THF. Aliphatic, alicyclic and aromatic aldehydes and ketones give rise to the corresponding epoxides, in good yields.  相似文献

Superradiant self-guiding emission from capillary dye lasers is reported. Capillary cells with very small inner diameter (50–200 μm) and standard large bore (2–6 mm) flashlamps have been used. The heat released by the pumping pulse to the active medium (Rhodamine 6G in ethanol) produces a lens-like distribution of the refractive index, which in turn gives rise to low-loss guided propagation in the cell. Near-field and far-field patterns turn out to be almost uniform at low dye concentration and become markedly ring-shaped at high dye concentration, denoting the presence of ‘whispering gallery’ modes. A theoretical analysis of the mode propagation in lens-like active media is carried out, and the field intensity distribution of Gaussian modes are evaluated for some cases of interest. The mode selection mechanism which determines the excitation of the modes is discussed.  相似文献

Summary In the present paper, a diffraction integral formula for a misaligned optical system is derived. The interference effects of opticalelement arrays are studied by means of such a formula. The possibility of eliminating interference fringes is discussed. The conclusion is that the interference fringes could be eliminated when the αβγδ condition for arrays is satisfied. The synthetical aberration is simultaneously eliminated. However, in this case, the synthetical image coincides with the individual images. For some special application, the synthetical image does not coincide with the individual images and the αβγδ condition is not fulfilled. But the interference fringes may disappear in some special cases.

La formula cosí ottenuta è applicata allo studio del fenomeno d’interferenza che ha luogo nel piano della cosiddetta ?immagine sintetica? fra i vari fasci emergenti da una cortina di elementi ottici. Si discutono infine le condizioni in cui non si hanno frange d’interferenza sull’immagine sintetica.

Results of molecular dynamics (MD) simulation of UO2 in a wide temperature range are presented and discussed. A new approach to the calibration of a partly ionic Busing-Ida-type model is proposed. A potential parameter set is obtained reproducing the experimental density of solid UO2 in a wide range of temperatures. A conventional simulation of the high-temperature stoichiometric UO2 on large MD cells, based on a novel fast method of computation of Coulomb forces, reveals characteristic features of a premelting lambda transition at a temperature near to that experimentally observed (T(lambda)=2670 K). A strong deviation from the Arrhenius behavior of the oxygen self-diffusion coefficient was found in the vicinity of the transition point. Predictions for liquid UO2, based on the same potential parameter set, are in good agreement with existing experimental data and theoretical calculations.  相似文献

Summary A sensitive and selective high-performance liquid chromatographic method has been developed for monitoring clozapine levels in human plasma. Chromatography was performed on a reversed-phase column (C8, 150 mm×4.6 mm i.d., 5 μm) with acetonitrile-aqueous sodium acetate solution, 88∶12 (v/v), as mobile phase; the flow rate was 1 mL min−1. Clozapine oxidation at +800 mV was detected amperometrically. Response was linearly dependent on concentration over the range 50–1500 ng mL−1 clozapine in plasma. Sample preparation by solid-phase extraction before HPLC analysis gave high extraction yield (94%). The accuracy and precision of the method were both very good (recovery: 97%;RSD<3.3%).  相似文献
