Structure of dialkylarsine pseudohalides

Conclusion ¹³C NMR and UV spectroscopy and mass spectrometry were used to study the structure of dialkylarsine pseudohalides. Cyanide structure was confirmed for dialkylcyanoarsines, while isocynates and isothisocynate structure was found for dialkylarsin cynates, respectively.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Seriya Khimicheskaya, No. 5, pp. 1184–1185, May, 1987.     

Reaction of Bis[trialkyl(aryl)arsonium]-1,4-dihydronaphtalene Iodides with Mercuric Iodide in Water-Ethanol Solutions of Potassium Iodide

The reaction of bis[trialkyl(aryl)arsonium]-1,4-dihydronaphtalene iodides with mercuric iodide in water-alcohol solutions in the presence of excess potassium iodide gives rise to bisarsonium triiodomercurates.
