Tritium concentration was monitored in different water sources collected around Kaiga Nuclear Power plant, India. The concentration was in the ranges?<?1.9–27.4 Bq L?1 (GM?=?4.0 Bq L?1) for groundwater,?<?1.9–42.1 Bq L?1 (GM?=?3.5 Bq L?1) for surface water and in 12.4–42.0 Bq L?1 (GM?=?24.07 Bq L?1) for reservoir water. The concentration values observed in this study are similar to those reported for other PHWR stations of the world. The radiation dose to the public due to ingestion of Tritium through groundwater was computed to be 0.08 μSvy?1.

The titanium complex of the cis-1,2-diaminocyclohexane (cis-DACH) derived Berkessel-salalen ligand is a highly efficient and enantioselective catalyst for the asymmetric epoxidation of terminal olefins with hydrogen peroxide (“Berkessel-Katsuki catalyst”). We herein report that this epoxidation catalyst also effects the highly enantioselective hydroxylation of benzylic C−H bonds with hydrogen peroxide. Mechanism-based ligand optimization identified a novel nitro-salalen Ti-catalyst of the highest efficiency ever reported for asymmetric catalytic benzylic hydroxylation, with enantioselectivities of up to 98 % ee, while overoxidation to ketone is marginal. The novel nitro-salalen Ti-catalyst also shows enhanced epoxidation efficiency, as evidenced by e.g. the conversion of 1-decene to its epoxide in 90 % yield with 94 % ee, at a catalyst loading of 0.1 mol-% only.  相似文献

Protonolysis of lanthanide tris(tetramethylaluminate)s with two equivalents of 2,6-diisopropylaniline affords LaIII and CeIII diimide compounds Ln[(μ-NC6H3iPr2-2,6)2AlMe2](thf)4 featuring a bidentate AlMe2-linked diimido ligand. As revealed for the corresponding Ce(GaMe4)3-reaction, formation of the diimide complexes proceeds via tetrametallic complexes of the type [Ce{(μ-NC6H3iPr2-2,6)(HNC6H3iPr2-2,6)(MMe3)}]2 (Me=Al, Ga). Oxidation of the cerium(III) complex with hexachloroethane leads to a neutral CeIV diimide species. Partial protonolysis with phenylacetylene and hydrogenolysis via H3SiPh give conclusive insights into the reactive coordination sites of such diimide complexes.  相似文献

A series of solvent-free heteroleptic terminal rare-earth-metal alkyl complexes stabilized by a superbulky tris(pyrazolyl)borato ligand with the general formula [TptBu,MeLnMeR] have been synthesized and fully characterized. Treatment of the heterobimetallic mixed methyl/tetramethylaluminate compounds [TptBu,MeLnMe(AlMe4)] (Ln=Y, Lu) with two equivalents of the mild halogenido transfer reagents SiMe3X (X=Cl, I) gave [TptBu,MeLnX2] in high yields. The addition of only one equivalent of SiMe3Cl to [TptBu,MeLuMe(AlMe4)] selectively afforded the desired mixed methyl/chloride complex [TptBu,MeLuMeCl]. Further reactivity studies of [TptBu,MeLuMeCl] with LiR or KR (R=CH2Ph, CH2SiMe3) through salt metathesis led to the monomeric mixed-alkyl derivatives [TptBu,MeLuMe(CH2SiMe3)] and [TptBu,MeLuMe(CH2Ph)], respectively, in good yields. The SiMe4 elimination protocols were also applicable when using SiMe3X featuring more weakly coordinating moieties (here X=OTf, NTf2). X-ray structure analyses of this diverse set of new [TptBu,MeLnMeR/X] compounds were performed to reveal any electronic and steric effects of the varying monoanionic ligands R and X, including exact cone-angle calculations of the tridentate tris(pyrazolyl)borato ligand. Deeper insights into the reactivity of these potential precursors for terminal alkylidene rare-earth-metal complexes were gained through NMR spectroscopic studies.  相似文献

We present time-resolved Gd−Gd electron paramagnetic resonance (TiGGER) at 240 GHz for tracking inter-residue distances during a protein's mechanical cycle in the solution state. TiGGER makes use of Gd-sTPATCN spin labels, whose favorable qualities include a spin-7/2 EPR-active center, short linker, narrow intrinsic linewidth, and virtually no anisotropy at high fields (8.6 T) when compared to nitroxide spin labels. Using TiGGER, we determined that upon light activation, the C-terminus and N-terminus of AsLOV2 separate in less than 1 s and relax back to equilibrium with a time constant of approximately 60 s. TiGGER revealed that the light-activated long-range mechanical motion is slowed in the Q513A variant of AsLOV2 and is correlated to the similarly slowed relaxation of the optically excited chromophore as described in recent literature. TiGGER has the potential to valuably complement existing methods for the study of triggered functional dynamics in proteins.  相似文献
