Bis-amino methylation for the synthesis of spiro-fused piperidines using iron(III) trifluroacetate in aqueous micellar medium

An environmentally benign, multicomponent integrated chemical process has been developed for the synthesis of 3,5-dispirosubstituted piperidines by cyclo-condensation reaction of amines, formaldehyde, and dimedone using iron(III) trifluroacetate [Fe(F₃CCO₂)₃] Lewis acid in aqueous micellar medium at ambient temperature (25–30 °C). The heterogeneous solid acid catalyst conveniently promotes this double amino methylation reaction in which six molecules condense in one pot to form six new covalent bonds. The synthesized 3,5-dispirosubstituted piperidines have been screened for their in vitro antibacterial activity using agar well method. Many of these compounds showed satisfactory antibacterial activity as compared to standard drugs against all the bacteria tested.     

Cp2ZrCl2‐catalyzed synthesis of 2‐substituted quinozolin‐4(3H)‐ones

Transition metal-free Suzuki type cross-coupling reaction for the synthesis of dissymmetric ketones

A simple, efficient and metal-free route for the synthesis of dissymmetric ketones through Suzuki type cross-coupling reaction has been established. This strategy signifies an attractive, cost-effective and operationally convenient tool for the synthesis of a wide range of dissymmetric ketones. Although conventional routes for the synthesis of ketones have been widely used, the potential challenge with these methods is functional group tolerance. The reported metal-free method represents a reaction with moderate functional group tolerance. The procedure is operationally convenient and shows broad substrate scope with good to excellent product yields.     

Volumetric,Viscometric and Speed of Sound Studies of Binary Mixtures of <Emphasis Type="Italic">Tert</Emphasis>-butyl Acetate with Fluorobenzene,Chlorobenzene and Bromobenzene at (298.15 and 308.15) K and at Atmospheric Pressure 0.087 MPa

Volumetric, viscometric and speed of sound studies of binary mixtures of tert-butyl acetate with fluorobenzene, chlorobenzene and bromobenzene have been made over the entire range of composition, at (298.15 and 308.15) K and at atmospheric pressure (p?=?0.089 MPa). From the experimental values of density, viscosity, and speed of sound, the excess molar volumes V^E, deviations in viscosity ?η and deviation in isentropic compressibility ΔK _S have been calculated. The V^E and ΔK _S values are negative while the ?η the values are positive over the entire composition range for the binary mixtures. The derived parameters have been fitted with the Redlich–Kister polynomial equation. The interaction parameters of McAllister model are used to correlate the experimental values of density, viscosity and speed of sound.     

Facile synthesis of ferrocenylamines in aqueous hydrotropic solution using microwaves

Microwave-assisted synthesis of secondary and tertiary ferrocenylamines is achieved by using an amine exchange reaction between ferrocenylmethyltrimethyl ammonium iodide and aryl amines in aqueous hydrotropic solution. The synthesis proceeds in excellent yields within short reaction times.     

Densities,viscosities, speed of sound,and IR spectroscopic studies of binary mixtures of tert-butyl acetate with benzene,methylbenzene, and ethylbenzene at T = (298.15 and 308.15) K

Densities, viscosities, speed of sound, and IR spectroscopy of binary mixtures of tert-butyl acetate (TBA) with benzene, methylbenzene, and ethylbenzene have been measured over the entire range of composition, at (298.15 and 308.15) K and at atmospheric pressure. From the experimental values of density, viscosity, speed of sound, and IR spectroscopy; excess molar volumes V^E, deviations in viscosity Δη, deviations in isentropic compressibility Δκ_s and stretching frequency ν have been calculated. The excess molar volumes and deviations in isentropic compressibility are positive for the binaries studied over the whole composition, while deviations in viscosities are negative for the binary mixtures. The excess molar volumes, deviations in viscosity, and deviations in isentropic compressibility have been fitted to the Redlich–Kister polynomial equation. The Jouyban–Acree model is used to correlate the experimental values of density, viscosity, and speed of sound.
