A facile, efficient and environment friendly method is established to prepare poly(vinyl alcohol)(PVA) based graphene oxide-montmorillonite(GO-MMT) nanocomposites in aqueous media. GO-MMT nanohybrid is obtained by the combination of GO and MMT in water without any reducing or stabilizing agents. The formation of GO-MMT nanohybrid is due to the hydrogen bonding and crosslinking effects. The sodium ions within MMT sheets act as crosslinkers between GO sheets and MMT platelets. The resultant nanocomposites are characterized by means of X-ray diffraction(XRD), scanning electron microscopy(SEM), differential scanning calorimetry(DSC), thermogravimetric analysis(TGA) and mechanical testing. Compared to that of pure PVA, PVA nanocomposites show enhanced thermal stabilities and mechanical properties, which results from strong interfacial adhesion of the nanoadditives in PVA matrix. The further increase in the tensile strength and modulus results from strong interaction between PVA chains and layered GO-MMT as well as good mechanical properties of GO-MMT hybrid, compared to PVA/GO and PVA/MMT nanocompsoites. 相似文献
A novel finite volume method is presented that is applicable to discontinuous capillary pressure fields. The method is developed within the control-volume distributed multi-point flux approximation (CVD-MPFA) framework (Edwards and Rogers in Comput Geosci 02(04):259–290, 1998; Friis et al. in SIAM J Sci Comput 31(02):1192–1220, 2008). Results are computed on structured and unstructured grids that demonstrate the ability of the method to resolve flow in the presence of a discontinuous capillary pressure field for diagonal and full-tensor permeability fields. In addition to an upwind approximation for the saturation equation flux, the importance of upwinding on capillary pressure flux via a hybrid formulation is shown.
Fluorescent nanoprobes are highly desirable toolkit for bioimaging applications. This study reports the first example for the synthesis of a nontoxic prototypical fluorescent organic compound 2‐benzo[d]thiazol‐2‐yl)‐3‐(2‐chloro‐4‐(dimethylamino)phenyl)acrylonitrile (BCA) and its entrapment into the poly[cyclotriphosphazene‐co‐polyethyleneimine] cross‐linked (PCPEI) nanospheres named as BCA@PCPEI for targeted cell imaging application. The as‐prepared BCA@PCPEI nanospheres were thoroughly characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), fourier transform infrared (FTIR), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), and phosphorus‐31 nuclear magnetic resonance (31P‐NMR) analyses. The surface functional analysis of the nanospheres was performed by X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), which proves that the content ratios of elements belong to the precursors concentrations. The as‐prepared nanospheres displayed emission at 606 nm with bright orange fluorescence at any concentration. Moreover, the nanospheres were also less cytotoxic and maintained remarkable cell viability up to 100 μg/mL. Owing to the fluorescence with higher emission, this material has shown excellent cell imaging performance with better targeting ability to HeLa cells. 相似文献
The radical-dependent oxidation of unsaturated fatty acids is a fundamental reaction in lipid chemistry, biochemistry, and technology. We report herein the first successful application of 1H–13C HMBC NMR experiment for the identification and quantification of complex and minor (3.9% to 0.85%) components of cis and trans primary hydroperoxide isomers of oxidized oleate and linoleate methyl esters in solution, without the need of laborious isolation of the individual components. 相似文献
The phosphorescence bioimaging and sensing applications of Iridium (III) complexes, in particular to subcellular organelle staining as well as sensing of biologically important analytes, have been reviewed here. Solar radiation is known to be a major contributor to the development of skin cancer. Most sunscreen formulations, including those with broad spectrum, offer minimal protection in long‐wavelength ultraviolet A1 (UVA1; 370–400 nm) and visible light (VL; 400–700 nm) domain. There is limited information regarding the impact of this broad waveband (VL + UVA1, 370–700 nm) on those with light skin. In this study, ten healthy adult subjects with Fitzpatrick skin phototypes I–III were enrolled. On day 0, subjects' lower back was exposed to a VL + UVA1 dose of 480 J cm?2. A statistically significant increase in erythema immediately after irradiation compared with subjects' baseline nonirradiated skin was observed. Clinically perceptible erythema with VL + UVA1 is a novel finding since the erythemogenic spectrum of sunlight has primarily been attributed to ultraviolet B and short‐wavelength ultraviolet A (320–340 nm). The results emphasize the need for protection against this part of the solar spectra and warrant further investigation. 相似文献
