Chemical investigation of a soft coral species of the genus Lobophytum has resulted in the isolation of three new sphingolipids--(2S,3S,4R)-2-nonadecanoylamino-octadecane-1,3,4-triol (1), (2S,3R,4E,8E)-[(2'R)-2'-hydroxyheptadecanoylamino]-4,8-octadecadiene-1,3-diol (2), 1-O-(beta-D-glucopyranosyl)-(2S,3R,4E,8E)-2-[(2'R)-2'-hydroxynonadecanoylamino]-9-methyl-4,8-octadecadiene-1,3-diol (3) and a sterol--(24S)-ergost-5-en-3beta,7beta-diol (4) along with the known sphingolipid--(2S,3R,4E,8E)-2-hexadecanoylamino-4,8-octadecadien-1,3-diol (5) which showed cytotoxicity against human peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMC). 相似文献

A series of CuO/Al(2)O(3)-ZrO(2) catalysts with Cu loadings varying from 1.0 to 20 wt % were prepared and characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), temperature-programmed reduction (TPR), temperature-programmed desorption (TPD) of CO(2) and NH(3), electron spin resonance (ESR), and Brunauer-Emmett-Teller surface area measurements. The dispersion and metal area of copper were determined by the N(2)O decomposition method. XRD results suggest that the copper oxide is present in a highly dispersed amorphous state at copper loadings < 10 wt % and as a crystalline CuO phase at higher Cu loadings. ESR results suggest the presence of two types of copper species on the Al(2)O(3)-ZrO(2) support. TPR results suggest well-dispersed copper oxide species at low Cu loadings and crystalline copper oxide species at high Cu loadings. Well-dispersed copper oxide species were reduced more easily than large copper oxide species by H(2). The results of CO(2) TPD suggest that the basicity of the catalysts was found to increase with an increase of copper loading up to 5.0 wt % and decreases with a further increase of copper loading. The results of NH(3) TPD suggest that the acidity of the catalysts was found to decrease with an increase of copper loading up to 5.0 wt % and increases with a further increase of copper loading. The catalytic properties were evaluated for the vapor-phase dehydrogenation of cyclohexanol to cyclohexanone and correlated with the results of CO(2) TPD measurements and the dispersion of Cu on the Al(2)O(3)-ZrO(2) support. 相似文献

We report the observation of persistent photoconductivity (PPC) in flower shaped PbS dendrites grown by the hydrothermal method. Potential fluctuations, due to the presence of various confinement regimes in the branches of dendrites, and surface traps, are likely responsible for the PPC observed here. We also observed photocurrent quenching and decreased dark current in the PPC below 40 K, due to the presence of a metastable state, whereas positive PPC was observed in the temperature region 40–220 K. Dark conductivity measurements, time constant parameters obtained from the stretched exponential fittings of PPC, also showed the metastable state related transition around 50 K. 相似文献

The analytical community continues to search for cost-effective, reliable, and even portable analytical techniques that can give reliable and fast response results for a variety of chemicals and biomolecules. Microcantilevers (MCLs) have emerged as a unique platform for label-free chem-sensor or bioassay. Several electronic designs, including piezoresistive, piezoelectric, and capacitive approaches, have been applied to measure the bending or frequency change of the MCLs upon exposure to chemicals. An interpretative account of the results of reactions in aqueous medium of a highly peroxygenated vanadium(V) complex, K [V(O2
3]·3H2O, with different organic and inorganic substrates is presented. The reactions were monitored by solution EPR spectroscopy
and isolation of products at different stages of the reactions. Redox reactions between diperoxide, K[VO(O2)2(H2O)] and VOSO4 were conducted. The results of the investigation suggest that secondary oxygen exchange-reaction occurs which not only depends
on but also utilises the intermediates in the primary reaction during diperoxovanadate-dependent oxidation of VOSO4.
In an interesting reactiontris(acetylacetonato)-manganese(III), Mn(acac)3, on being reacted with a hydrogen peroxide adduct, KF·H2O2, and bpy and phen afforded crystalline [Mn(acac)2(bpy)] and [Mn(acac)2(phen)], respectively. The X-ray structural analysis of [Mn(acac)2(phen)] showed that the compound crystallised in orthorhombic space groupPbcn. The structure consists of a pseudooctahedral Mn(II) ion being bound to two acac−(C5H5O

) and a phen ligand with the molecule lying on two-fold axis.
Reactivity profiles of two new chromium(VI) reagents viz., pyridinium fluorochromate, C5H5NH[CrO3F] (PFC), and quinolinium fluorochromate C9H7NH [CrO3F] (QFC), have been presented. The compounds are capable of acting as both electron-transfer and oxygen-atom-transfer agents.
The X-ray analysis of PFC crystals reveals that the compound crystallises in the orthorhombic space group CmcZ1. The structure consists of discrete pyridinium cations and CrO3 F anions with no significant hydrogen bonding. This results in total disorder of the pyridinium cation. The tetrahedral [CrO3 F]− ion lies on a crystallographic mirror plane. 相似文献

A new polyketide metabolite, the twelve‐membered macrolide 1 , isolated from the endophytic fungal strain Cladosporium tenuissimum LR 463 of Maytenus hookeri, whose structure had been determined as (6R,12S)‐6‐hydroxy‐12‐methyl‐1‐oxacyclododecane‐2,5‐dione, was synthesized for the first time by a convergent strategy via Yamaguchi esterification of 2 with 3 and ring‐closing metathesis (RCM) to afford the cyclic ester 1 that was eventually transformed to the target molecule. The effect of oscillations on the heat transfer in a vertical tube has been studied experimentally. A vertical tube was mounted
on a plate and the whole plate was subjected to oscillations in the vertical plane using a mechanical oscillator to provide
low frequency oscillations. A section of the tube in the middle is subjected to a constant heat flux. The effect of the oscillations
on the heat transfer coefficient has been examined. It was found that the heat transfer coefficient increased with oscillations
in the laminar regime. In turbulent flow regime (Re > 2,100) it is found that the effect of oscillations did not show any change. A correlation has been developed for enhancement
of the local Nusselt number in terms of the effective acceleration and Reynolds number. Using this, an expression has been
proposed to calculate the mean Nusselt number as a function of the tube length. 相似文献
