The method described is based on the extraction of uranium with a chloroform solution of phenylacetic acid from slightly acidic solution containing nitrilotriacetic acid, which masks all interfering metals. After stripping into very dilute hydrochloric acid, uranium is reduced with ascorbic acid and determined complexometrically. The method permits reliable determination of uranium in the presence of all quadri-, ter- and bivalent metals investigated, molybdenum(VI), tungsten(VI), and vanadium(V). 相似文献

A new method for successive determination of calcium and magnesium is proposed. It is based on the indirect determination of calcium in borax media by back-titration of excess of EGTA with lead nitrate. Magnesium is then determined in ammonia buffer with DCTA. A highly selective extraction of titanium as its ascorbate complexes from slightly acidic medium into trioctylmethylammonium sulphate is described. After stripping into nitric acid, titanium is determined complexometrically. The method allows separation of titanium from large amounts of iron, aluminium and bivalent metals. The procedure for the determination of iron and aluminium after the titanium extraction is also given. Chloroform solution of phenylacetic add has been found very suitable for extraction and colorimetric determination of copper. Iron and uranium are the main interferences, which can be overcome by masking with ammonium fluoridc. Under these conditions, only gold(III), platinum(IV) and palladium(II) are co-extracted, but their colour does not interfere with measurement of the green copper extract at 700 nm. The method has been applied to the determination of copper in iron, steels, uranium, lead concentrates and alloys containing nickel, cobalt, etc. The extraction procedure can also be used to remove interference of iron, copper and uranium in the determination of manganese with formaldoxime. 相似文献

A general method for the functionalization of Si-Cl terminated carbosilane dendritic molecules via organolithium or organomagnesium reagents is described. Quantitative exchange of the bromine atoms of 4-bromophenyl-functionalized dendrimers affords polylithiated species that are valuable starting materials for further functionalization, e.g., into pyridyl alcohols. A new method for the determination of nickel in the presence of cobalt, based on the masking of the cobalt with potassium cyanide and hydrogen peroxide, is proposed. The yellow, or orange-yellow, complex of cobalt(III) is formed, from which cobalt is not displaced upon the addition of silver nitrate. Tetracyanonickelate, however, reacts quantitatively with silver nitrate, and the displaced nickel can be determined directly with EDTA, using Murexide as indicator. Highly selective extraction of chromate from slightly acidic solutions (0.1-0.2M sulphuric acid) with a chloroform solution of trioctylamine (Alamine 336-S) or trioctylmethylammonium chloride Aliquat 336-S) is described. Many metals such as iron, nickel, cobalt, copper, alluminium, zinc, are not extracted, even if present in large concentrations. Coextraction of vanadium(V) and uranium(VI) is prevented by addition of sodium chloride. Traces of extracted molybdenum are scrubbed with ammonium oxalate. Two methods for the determination of calcium in the presence of very large amounts of magnesium are proposed. Both are based on back-titration of excess of EGTA, Thymolphthalexone being used as indicator. In the one method the titrant is a zinc solution, in the other a calcium solution is used, with a small amount of zinc present for end-point indication. We report on transport measurements of YBa 2Cu 3O (7-delta) single crystals with different oxygen contents in the geometry B, J ||ab (J perpendicularB). Our data show that the vortices become confined between the Cu-O planes below a well-defined temperature at which the effective size 2xi of the vortex core is approximately equal to the period of the Cu-O layers. This confinement strongly increases the vortex liquid freezing temperature. A new melting line is found separating a vortex liquid and a smectic phase, which shows an oscillatory field dependence reflecting differences between commensurate and incommensurate smectic states. 相似文献
