A multiwavelength Brillouin/erbium fibre laser (BEFL) which operates in the long wavelength (L-band) region is demonstrated for potential applications in an L-band wavelength division multiplexing (WDM) communication system. The laser configuration consists of a long erbium-doped fibre to enable L-band amplification where two 3-dB couplers take a portion of the generated BEFL signal and re-inject it into the single mode fibre to seed a cascaded BEFL line in the same direction as the first BEFL line. A stable and strong laser comb of up to five lines with 10-GHz spacing has been obtained with a Brillouin pump (BP) of 9.2 mW and a 980 nm pump of 92 mW. The BEFL has shown a broad tuning range with a tuning characteristic for line #1 which is flat over a range greater than 9.9 nm.  相似文献

Electronic structure of optimized Ge5, Ge17, Ge5–O and Ge5 embedded in SiO2 nanoparticles have been studied by density functional theory to find out the effect of cluster size and Ge–O bond(s) on the optical energy gap between LUMO and HOMO. It was found that the optical energy gap depends on both cluster size and the number of Ge–O bonds nonlinearly. The optical energy gap was found to be in visible light range when the Ge5 nanoparticle has been embedded in SiO2 matrix.  相似文献

A pyrene based probe associated with π···hole – hydrazone as one of the recognizing elements is synthesized and its turn in to a selective colorimetric and turn-on fluorescent sensor, (L3) for cyanide anion. This chemo sensor show high selectivity towards cyanide anion through photo electron transfer (PET) mechanism. The binding strength and sensitivity of the chemo sensor L3 towards cyanide are found to be 2.0 X 104, and 4.44 x 10-4 respectively. We have compared this high selectivity of the receptor towards cyanide, with our previously reported receptors L1 and L2. The detailed UV-Vis, Emission, 1H-NMR, IR spectroscopic and Molecular Electrostatic Potential (MEP) studies reveals that the homogeneous π···hole dispersion in the aromatic ring governing the selectivity of the receptor towards cyanide anion. Such a positive π···hole homogeneous dispersion is missing in the case of sensor L2, instead we have polarized π···hole dispersion towards 2nd and 4th position of di-nitrophenyl chromophoric unit in L2.

Herein, synthesis of a series of naphtho[2,3-f]quinolin-13-one and naphtho[2,3-a]acridin-1(2H)-one derivatives directly by one-pot multi-component reaction of 1,3-dicarbonyl compounds (1,3-indanedione/1,3-cyclohexanedione), 2-aminoantharacene/2-naphthylamine and various substituted aldehydes under solvent-free conditions using heteropoly-11-molybdo-1-vanadophosphoric acid supported on montmorillonite K-10 clay catalyst (10% PVMoK-10) is reported. The successful formation of naphtho[2,3-f]quinolin-13-one and naphtho[2,3-a]acridin-1(2H)-one derivatives was confirmed by various spectroscopic techniques. This study offers a green approach for the synthesis of novel quinolinone derivatives.  相似文献

Green synthesis of nanoparticles by eco-friendly methods is a recent technique which draws the attention of researchers because of the reward over many conventional chemical methods. The present work focuses on aqueous Limonia acidissima leaf extract in synthesizing silver nanoparticles and its applications in a simple way. The silver nanoparticles formed were characterized by Infrared, Ultra violet-visible, X-ray diffraction, transmission electron microscopic, and atomic force microscopic techniques. The powder X-ray diffraction studies and transmission electron microscopic images reveal that the silver nanoparticles synthesized were approximately 10–40 nm and have a spherical structure. The nanoparticles were assayed for their antibacterial, antifungal and antioxidant activity. The antimicrobial studies for the silver nanoparticles show a maximum zone of inhibition of 8.8 mm for Bacillus subtilis bacteria and 8.5 mm for Candida albicans fungi at 3 and 1 μg/mL respectively. In-silico ADMET studies reveal that the toxicity, bioactivity, pharmacokinetics and drug-likeness properties of Limonia acidissima leaf extract is good. The molecular docking studies show that the microbial activity is high for Bacillus subtilis and Candida albicans showing the coincidence of the in silico and in vitro studies as expected. The free radical scavenging activity of nanoparticles is 80 for 100 μg/mL. The 50% of inhibition of silver nanoparticles against human breast cancer cell lines is 18 μg/mL. It is evident that silver nanoparticles would be helpful in treating cancer cell lines and have great perspectives in the biomedical sector.  相似文献

One-pot three-component synthesis of twelve different chromeno[2,3-b]indole derivatives were achieved by the condensation of β-naphthol, oxindole and various substituted aldehydes. Two more chromeno[2,3-b]indole derivatives were also synthesized through one-pot two-component condensation of salicylaldehyde with oxindole/chlorooxindole. Both the condensations were achieved by using Keggin-type heteropoly-11-molybdo-1-vanadophosphoric acid, H4[PVMo11O40] supported on montmorillonite K-10 clay for about 10% as catalyst under environmentally benign solvent-free reaction condition. Shorter reaction time, excellent yield of product, sustainability of catalytic material and simple workup procedure under green experimental conditions are the advantages of this protocol.

One-pot multi-component synthesis of N,N′-alkylidene bisamides, 2,4,5-trisubstituted imidazoles and 1,2,4,5-tetrasubstituted imidazoles in the presence of catalytic material heteropoly-11-tungsto-1-vanadophosphoric acid (HPV) supported on activated natural clay for about 20% (HPVAC-20) under solvent-free reaction condition have been achieved. Green heterogeneous reaction condition, simple workup procedure, short reaction time, high yield of products, and reusability of the catalyst are the advantages of this protocol.  相似文献
