The time delay experiment proposed by I.I. Shapiro in 1964 and conducted in the seventies was the most precise experiment
of general relativity until that time. Further experimentation has improved the accuracy level of both the time delay and
the light deflection experiments. A simulation model is proposed that involves only a simple mass and time transformation
factor involving velocity of light. The light deflection and the time delay experiments are numerically simulated using this
model that does not use the general relativistic equations. The computed values presented in this paper compare well with
recent levels of accuracy of their respective experimental results. 相似文献

The carborane–siloxane copolymers Dexsil 300, a 34.5% bis(dimethylsilyl)-m-carborane–65.5% dimethylsiloxane copolymer, and Dexsil 400, a 24.9% bis(dimethylsilyl)-m-carborane–50.8% dimethyl, 24.3% methylphenylsiloxane copolymer, were coated on fused silica capillary columns and their gas
chromatographic properties were evaluated. Their selectivity was evaluated using both Rohrschneider–McReynolds constants and
triacylglycerol indices. The bis(dimethylsilyl)-m-carborane unit turned out to be equivalent to two dimethylsiloxy units and one half of a diphenylsiloxy unit. The m-carborane unit was found to cause a 15–25 K shift in the elution temperature between 120 and 360 °C. The working range was
from 20 and 0 °C to 380 °C for Dexsil 300 and Dexsil 400, respectively. The column bleeding levels at 380 °C were below 20
and 15 pA for Dexsil 300 and Dexsil 400, respectively. 相似文献

We present two new variants of Schur complement domain decompositionpreconditioners suitable for 2D anisotropic problems. Thesevariants are based on adaptations of the probing idea, describedby Chan et al (1992 Fifth Int. Symp. on Domain DecompositionMethods for Partial Differential Equations, Philadelphia: SIAM,pp 236-249), used in conjunction with a coarse grid approximationas introduced by Bramble et al (1986 Math. Comput. 47, 103-134).The new methods are specifically designed for situations wherethe coupling between neighbouring interfaces is stronger thanthe coupling within an interface. Taking into account this strongcoupling, one variant uses a multicolour probing technique toavoid distortion in the probe approximations that appear whenusing the method proposed by Chan et al. The second techniqueuses additional probe matrices to approximate not only the couplingwithin the interfaces but also the coupling between interfacepoints across the subdomains. This latter procedure looks somewhatlike an alternating line relaxation method for anisotropic problems,see Brandt (1977 Math. Comput.. 31, 333-390). To assess therelevance of the new preconditioners, we compare their numericalbehaviour with well known robust preconditioners such as thebalanced Neumann-Neumann method proposed by Mandel (1993 Commun.Numer. Capillary zone electrophoresis was employed to determine cefazolin, a first-generation cephalosporin antibiotic, in plasma and microdialysis samples from patients. To shorten the analysis, the samples were injected from the short end of the capillary, resulting in a separation time of < 3 min. Due to a high ionic strength of the biological matrices it was necessary to optimize the stacking conditions. For microdialysis samples a 1:10 dilution with water before injection was sufficient to obtain good peak shape. For plasma samples a protein removal step was required to obtain clean electropherograms and a good peak shape. Acetonitrile was used as precipitant resulting in an enhanced sample stacking in comparison to water dilution. The disadvantage of using acetonitrile was severe evaporation loss making quantitation impossible. A self-sealing film was used to seal each individual sample vial to suppress evaporation during long-term sequences. The calibration curves for spiked plasma and cefazolin in Ringer's solutions were linear in the range from 2-500 and 2.5-100 microg/mL, respectively. Limits of detection were 1.0 and 2.0 microg/mL in plasma and microdialysis samples, respectively. The assay was successfully applied to plasma and microdialysis samples obtained in vivo from the interstial space fluid of subcutaneous adipose and muscle tissue of patients undergoing cardiac surgery. 相似文献

The most common and reliable technique used for flame stabilization of industrial combustors with high thermal loads is the application of strongly swirling flows. In addition to stabilization, swirl flames offer the possibility to influence emission characteristics by simply changing the swirl intensity or the type of swirl generation. Despite of these major advantages, swirling flows tend to evolve flow instabilities, that considerably constitute a significant source of noise. In general, noise generation is substantially enhanced, when such a swirling flow is employed for flames. Thus, the minimization of the resulting noise emissions under conservation of the benefit of high ignition stability is one major design challenge for the development of modern swirl stabilized combustion devices. The present investigation makes an attempt to determine mechanisms and processes to influence the noise generation of flames with underlying swirling flows. Therefore, a new burner has been designed, that offers the possibility to vary geometrical parameters as well as the type of swirl generation, typically applied in industrial devices. Experimental data has been acquired for the isothermal flow as well as swirl flames by means of 3-D-LDV-diagnostics comprising the components of long-time averaged mean and rms-velocities as well as spectrally resolved velocity fluctuations for all components. The noise emission data was acquired with microphone probes resulting in sound pressure levels outside the zone of the perceptible fluid flow. Along to the experiments, numerical simulations using RANS and LES have been carried out for isothermal cases with different burner outlet geometries. The results of the measurements show a distinct rise of the sound pressure level, obtained by changing both the test setup from the isothermal into the flame configuration as well as the geometrical parameters. This is also resembled by the LES simulation results. Furthermore, a physical model has been developed from experiments and verified by the LES simulation, that explains the formation of coherent flow structures and allows to separate their contribution to the overall noise emission from ordinary turbulent noise sources. 相似文献

The ‘anomalous perihelion precession’ of Mercury, announced by Le Verrier in 1859, was a highly controversial topic for more
than half a century and invoked many alternative theories until 1916, when Einstein presented his theory of general relativity
as an alternative theory of gravitation and showed perihelion precession to be one of its potential manifestations. As perihelion
precession was a directly derived result of the full General Theory and not just the Equivalence Principle, Einstein viewed
it as the most critical test of his theory. This paper presents the computed value of the anomalous perihelion precession
of Mercury's orbit using a new relativistic simulation model that employs a simple transformation factor for mass and time,
proposed in an earlier paper. This computed value compares well with the prediction of general relativity and is, also, in
complete agreement with the observed value within its range of uncertainty. No general relativistic equations have been used

A sensitive and reliable high‐performance liquid chromatography–mass spectrometry (LC–MS/MS) was developed and validated for simultaneous quantification IC87114, roflumilast (RFM), and its active metabolite roflumilast N‐oxide (RFN) using tolbutamide as an internal standard. The analytes were extracted by using liquid–liquid extraction and separated on a reverse phase C18 column (50 mm × 3 mm i.d., 4.6 µ) using methanol: 2 mM ammonium acetate buffer, pH 4.0 as mobile phase at a flow rate 1 mL/min in gradient mode. Selective reaction monitoring was performed using the transitions m/z 398.3 > 145.9, 403.1 >186.9, 419.1 > 187.0 and 271.1 > 155.0 to quantify quantification IC87114, RFM, RFN and tolbutamide, respectively. The method was validated over the concentration range of 0.1–60 ng.mL?1 for RFM and RFN and 6 to 2980 ng.mL?1 for IC87114. Intra‐ and inter‐day accuracy and precision of validated method were within the acceptable limits of <15% at all concentrations. Coefficients of correlation (r2) for the calibration curves were >0.99 for all analytes. The quantitation method was successfully applied for simultaneous estimation of IC87114, RFM and RFN in a pharmacokinetic drug–drug interaction study in Wistar rats. The electrophoretic properties of two human rhinovirus (HRV) serotypes, HRV2 and HRV14, their subviral particles, and their capsid proteins were investigated by CE using borate buffer, pH 8.3, as BGE and three different detergents as additives. In addition, the influence of modification of the capsid with an amine reactive fluorescent dye, Cy3.5, on migration in the electric field was assessed. We found that the reproducibility of the electrophoretic results was decisively dependent on the presence of the detergents above their respective CMC. As compared to the strong ionic detergent SDS, the nonionic, mild detergent dodecylpoly(ethyleneglycol ether) (D-PEG) efficiently and reproducibly resolved both, native viruses as well as subviral particles. Most of the analytes behaved as expected except native HRV2; this serotype showed a dramatically higher anionic mobility in SDS than in D-PEG. Additionally, its mobility decreased when each positive charge contributed from a lysine at the capsid surface was substituted by four negative charges upon derivatization with Cy3.5. We discuss the possibility that this effect is caused by differences in number and in arrangement of exposed lysines in the two serotypes leading to differences in the amount of bound SDS micelles. 相似文献
