Protonated 4,4'-diaminotriphenylmethyl cation, DATM, has been investigated as a colorimetric reagent for the determination of sulphur dioxide. The bisulphite addition compound with formaldehyde alkylates a primary arylamine group in the protonated reagent to re-establish resonance, and hence produces a colour that is proportional in intensity to the concentration of either bisulphite or formaldehyde (the other being in excess). The large bathochromic spectral shift results in a negligible blank correction. Cyclohexanone in aqueous solution has been found to stabilize bisulphite solutions for up to 6 hr. The stabilization by cyclohexanone has been compared with stabilization by tetrachloromercurate(II). The Beer-Lambert law is obeyed with good precision for both sulphite and formaldehyde determination.  相似文献

The effects exhibited by adsorbed conducting polyaniline on the redox process on a molybdenum oxide surface were studied. Thermogravimetric results indicate a 4% polyaniline deposition. Cyclic voltammograms of the adsorbed polymer on MoO3 show that polyaniline exerts remarkable effects on the molybdenum blue oxidation-reduction process, with oxidation and reduction potentials of 0.33 and 0.18 V, respectively. This effect strongly enhances the electrode response, and can be used as an important tool in qualitative and/or quantitative determinations of molybdenum in solution as well as in any substrate. A cw high efficient Ho:YAI03 laser pumped by 1.91 μm diode-pumped Tm:YLF laser at room temperature is realized. The maximum output power reaches 8.5 W when the incident pump power is 15.6 W. The slope efficiency is 63.7%, and the Tm:YLF to Ho:YAP optical conversion efficiency is 54.5%. The laser wavelength is 2118.3nm when the transmission of output coupler is 30%. The beam quality factor is M2 -1.39 measured by the traveling knife-edge method.  相似文献

[formula: see text] A simple synthesis of heterocyclic thiosulfonates containing indole, indoline, benzoimidazole, and quinoxaline rings is described. The synthesis of these thiosulfonates involves the preparation of the appropriately substituted thiols followed by sulfonylation to give thiosulfonates. The corresponding thiols were prepared in a simple and efficient manner by using a thiocyanation reaction either prior to heterocycle ring formation or after heterocycle ring formation. These thiosulfonates were coupled successfully to the 5,6-dihydropyran-2-one ring to give products that showed excellent HIV protease activity.  相似文献

Abstract

d-Glycero-2-pentenono-1,4-lactone (d-erythroascorbic acid, EAA) is present in yeasts and fungi where little or no l-ascorbic acid (AA) is found.1,2 Higher organisms all contain AA in active and growing cells. AA is thought to have evolved to protect living cells from lethal levels of active-oxygen species.3 AA is required also for optimal activity of enzymes that catalyze hydroxylation reactions.4,5 The role of EAA in yeasts and fungi is unknown. Frank A. Loewus (personal communication) has found that plantpathogenic fungi catabolize EAA to oxalate, an acid involved in the invasion of the host. Chemical syntheses6–8 of EAA have been reported in recent years. Herein, we present information on the conformation of EAA.  相似文献

Guanosine‐5′‐hydroxamic acid ( 3 ) forms hydrogels when mixed with guanosine ( 1 ) and KCl. The 5′‐hydroxamic acid (HA) unit is pH‐responsive and also chelates Fe3+. When gels are prepared under basic conditions, the 5′‐HA groups are deprotonated and the anionic hydrogel binds cationic thiazole orange (TO), signaled by enhanced fluorescence. The HA nucleoside 3 , when immobilized in the G‐quartet gel, acts as a supramolecular siderophore to form red complexes with Fe3+. We patterned the hydrogel's surface with FeCl3, by hand and by using a 3D printer. Patterns form instantly, are visible by eye, and can be erased using vitamin C. This hydrogel, combining self‐assembled G‐quartet and siderophore–Fe3+ motifs, is strong, can be molded into different shapes, and is stable on the bench or under salt water.  相似文献

The conversion of camphor to nopinone was carried out by rearrangement of appropriate glycol monomesylate in a sterospecific manner. The glycol monomesylates were prepared by reaction of camphor and trichloroacetic anhydride to give 1-trichloroacetoxycamphene (2) which on hydrolysis and acylation gave 1-acetoxycamphene (5). Ozonolysis, selective reduction of 6 and conversion to the mesylate gave 1-acetoxy-3,3-dimethylbicyclo[2.2.1]-hept-endo-2-yl mesylate (10) which was rearranged to nopinone.  相似文献
