In the present study, a series of thiodihydropyrimidine derivatives were synthesized from different substituted aromatic aldehydes, ethyl acetoacetate, and urea/thiourea using a bimetallic TUD-1 catalyst. The structures of all the synthesized compounds were characterized by melting point determination, thin layer chromatography (TLC), infrared (IR), 1HNMR, and 13C-NMR values. All the synthesized compounds were screened for their antimicrobial activities against two gram positive bacteria, two-gram negative bacteria, and two fungal strains.  相似文献

The paper contains an extended historical overview of research activities focused on determining interfacial potential and charge of dispersed particles from electrophoretic and coagulation dynamic measurements. Particular attention is paid to nano-suspensions for which application of Standard Electrokinetic Model (SEM) to analysis of experimental data encounters difficulties, especially, when the solutions contain more than two ions, the particle charge depends on the solution composition and zeta-potentials are high. Detailed statements of Standard Electrokinetic and DLVO Models are given in the forms that are capable of addressing electrophoresis and interaction of particles for arbitrary ratios of the particle to Debye radius, interfacial potentials and electrolyte compositions. The experimental part of the study consists of two groups of measurements conducted for Pt/C nano-suspensions, namely, the electrophoretic and coagulation dynamic studies, with various electrolyte compositions. The obtained experimental data are processed by using numerical algorithms based on the formulated models for obtaining interfacial potential and charge. While analyzing the dependencies of interfacial potential and charge on the electrolyte compositions, conclusions are made regarding the mechanisms of charge formation. It is established that the behavior of system stability is in a qualitative agreement with the results computed from the electrophoretic data. The verification of quantitative applicability of the employed models is conducted by calculating the Hamaker constant from experimental data. It is proposed how to explain the observed variations of predicted Hamaker constant and its unusually high value.  相似文献

The effect of a third metal on the activity of PtRu/Vulcan toward methanol oxidation reaction (MOR) is studied. An efficient method to prepare ternary catalysts was used, which allows the introduction of the third metal to PtRu/Vulcan without altering its particle size or dispersion. Ni, Mo, Co, and Ir were chosen and added to PtRu/Vulcan, based on theoretical and experimental literature results, anticipating enhancement in the catalytic activity of PtRu/Vulcan. The composition of the third metal can be varied from trace to considerable amounts. Transmission electron microscopy and energy-dispersive X-ray analysis were used to determine the particle size, dispersion, and the composition of the ternary catalysts. Cylic voltammetry, chronoamperometry, and CO-stripping voltammetry were used to analyze and compare the activities of the catalysts at 25 °C. It has been found that the addition of even trace amounts of third metal significantly affects the catalytic activity of PtRu toward MOR.  相似文献

Single crystals of novel semiorganic material, potassium diboro-oxalate (PDO) have been grown from aqueous solution by slow evaporation technique. The lattice parameters for the grown crystals were determined by the single crystal X-ray diffraction analysis and the crystallinity of the grown crystal was confirmed by powder X-ray diffraction analysis. The presence of functional groups was estimated qualitatively by using Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) analysis. The optical absorption spectrum shows that the UV cut-off wavelength for the grown crystal is at 240 nm and the band gap was calculated. The thermal stability of the grown crystal was studied by using TG/DTA analysis. The second harmonic generation and the phase-matchable tests were performed by Kurtz powder technique. The crystal perfection was analyzed by SEM photographs.  相似文献

We report the synthesis of ZnO nanowires in ambient air at 650°C by a single-step vapor transport method using two different sources Zn (ZnO nanowires-I) and Zn:Cu (ZnO nanowires-II). The Zn:Cu mixed source co-vaporize Zn with a small amount of Cu at temperatures where elemental Cu source does not vaporize. This method provides us a facile route for Cu doping into ZnO. The aspect ratio of the grown ZnO nanowires-II was found to be higher by more than five times compared ZnO nanowires-I. Photocatalytic activity was measured by using a solar simulator and its ultraviolet-filtered light. The ZnO nanowires-II shows higher catalytic activity due to increased aspect ratio and higher content of surface defects because of incorporation of Cu impurities.  相似文献

In this work, we have fabricated lead selenide (PbSe) thin films by the pulsed laser deposition method on Si/SiO2 substrates and investigated the effect of oxygen annealing (sensitization) in these films. The oxygen-sensitized films show high responsivity in the visible (VIS) and the near-infrared (NIR) region at room temperature without cooling. We also demonstrate the effective surface oxidation of PbSe thin films during the oxygen annealing process without treated with commonly used halogens that leads to a better photoresponse in these PbSe films.  相似文献
