Organic substance as a collector of recoil atoms<Superscript>234</Superscript>Th(<Superscript>234</Superscript>U) in black shales

The content and isotopic composition of uranium extracted under various leaching and extraction conditions from the dyctionemic shale from Estonian deposits are determined by alpha-spectrometry. The interaction of uranium with organic matter (OM) was confirmed by a correlation between the specific radioactivity of uranium and contents of OM in the fractions obtained by electrostatic separation of the ground shale powder. Correlation between the results of two different analytical schemes is shown. The thickness of uranium phase layer deposited on organic matter in two parts of the seam is compared.     

Reaction of arenesulfonyl azides with alkyl vinyl ethers in the presence of ketones. 5-Alkoxy-3-arylsulfonyloxazolidines

2-Methoxy- and 2-ethoxy-1-arylsulfonylaziridines, which are formed by reaction of arenesulfrayl azides with methyl and ethyl vinyl ethers, react with ketones to give 5-alkoxy-2,2-dialkyl-3-arylsulfonyloxazolidines, along with products of dimerization and polymerization of the alkoxyaziridines.Communication V from the series Reaction of Organic Azides with Unsaturated Compounds; see [1] for communication IV. 5-Alkoxy-2-vinyloxazolidines

2-Methyl-1-arylsulfonylaziridines, formed in the reaction of tosyl and p-nitrobenzenesulfonyl azides with methyl vinyl ether, react regiospecifically with ,-unsaturated aldehydes and ketones to give 5-methoxy-2-vinyl-3-arylsulfonyloxazolidines. The effect of the structure of the aziridines and unsaturated aldehydes and ketones on the stereoselectivity of their reactions is discussed.Communication VII of the series Reaction of organic azides with unsaturated compounds.
