The transmission factor of multilayer Wood filters containing quartz and rutile layers was simulated in order to avoid the experimental trials for obtaining optical filters with predicted transmission. The main refractive indices of uniaxial crystals—quartz and rutile—were interferometrically determined and Cauchy constants were obtained by simulation. The transmission factor of optical devices consisting of quartz and rutile layers was simulated using the Maple Program. 相似文献

AbstractThe biomedical applications of magnetic nanoparticles require the surface modification with organic, hydrophilic molecules, able to ensure the stability of the resulted colloidal suspensions. We present the quantum mechanical approach of two molecules developing stable interfaces with magnetic Co0.5Fe2.5O4 nanoparticles. Sodium oleate, and citric acid, ensuring steric and respectively electrostatic stabilization are comparatively analyzed. The roles of dipole moment and frontier orbitals energies were emphasized to better understanding of some interface phenomena for the optimization of magnetic nanoparticle suspension preparation. Further, practical yielding of colloidal Co0.5Fe2.5O4 nanoparticles by coating with sodium oleate and respectively with citric acid is discussed. 相似文献

The effect of KSCN at salt mole fractions of 0.01–0.05 and at saturation on the VLE of the binary acetone-methanol system has been experimentally investigated at 101.32 kPa using a modified Othmer equilibrium still. The experimental data were correlated by the electrolytic NRTL model [B. Mock, L.B. Evans and C.C. Chen, AIChE J., 32 (1986) 1655–1664], the extended UNIQUAC equation [B. Sander, A. Fredensland and P. Rasmussen, Chem. Eng. Sci., 41 (1986) 1171–1183] and the modified Wilson and NRTL models proposed by Tan [T.C. Tan, AIChE J., 31 (1985) 2083–2085; Chem. Eng. Res. Des., 65 (1987) 355–366; Trans. Inst. Chem. Eng., 68 (1990) 93–102]. The results were compared with those obtained by Tan's predictive models. A crossover between the salting-out and salting-in effects on acetone and a non-azeotropic minimum in the temperature-composition diagram were observed at low and high salt concentrations. Based on the solubility data in the mixture, comparisons with the effect of other salts on the same mixed solvent were made. 相似文献

The proposed method of channeled spectrum employs the recorded channeled spectrum of an optical active polymer solution placed between two crossed polarizers. The approach allows the evaluation of the optical rotatory dispersion of poly(propylene oxide) in benzene. 1,6-Diphenyl-1,3,5-hexatriene is one of the most used fluorescent labels in cell membrane fluidity studies. However, its solubility in aqueous biological media is low and an initial solubilizing step is necessary. In this study, the authors present spectroscopic and computational results in order to explain the striking displacement observed in electronic spectra (absorption and fluorescence) in different solvents. The experimental results were correlated with those obtained by molecular dynamics simulations of multicomponent solutions, which revealed non-homogenous microscopic regions formation in the ternary aqueous DPH solutions. 相似文献

ABSTRACTQuercetin was subjected to a quantum-mechanical analysis and energetic and electro-optic parameters were evaluated. A solvatochromic study was used to estimate the dipole moment of quercetin in the excited state and to determine the angle between the dipole moments of this molecule in the electronic states responsible for the visible absorption band. In this paper we give a brief review on the present status of automated detection systems describe for the screening of diabetic retinopathy. We further detail an enhanced detection procedure that consists of two steps. First, a pre-screening algorithm is considered to classify the input digital fundus images based on the severity of abnormalities. If an image is found to be seriously abnormal, it will not be analysed further with robust lesion detector algorithms. As a further improvement, we introduce a novel feature extraction approach based on clinical observations. The second step of the proposed method detects regions of interest with possible lesions on the images that previously passed the pre-screening step. These regions will serve as input to the specific lesion detectors for detailed analysis. This procedure can increase the computational performance of a screening system. Experimental results show that both two steps of the proposed approach are capable to efficiently exclude a large amount of data from further processing, thus, to decrease the computational burden of the automatic screening system. 相似文献

AbstractWe have designed an experimental study dedicated to silver nanotoxicity using a suspension of citrate-silver nanoparticles, obtained by photochemical reduction. Fine granularity of generally symmetrical shape nanoparticles were evidenced by tansmission electron microscopy. The localized surface plasmon resonance spectral band revealed the intensification of silver nanoparticle formation under UV exposure. The nanotoxicity of silver nanoparticles was tested on cereal sprouts by measuring the concentrations of chlorophylls and carotenes in the green tissue. The differences between control samples, supplied with distilled water and test samples, loaded with different volumes of silver nanoparticles suspension were analyzed statistically, and compared with literature reports. 相似文献

The visible electronic absorption spectra of two carbanion disubstituted cycloimmonium ylids having a 3-aryl-pyridazinium derivative as cation and a common disubstituted carbanion (-2,4,6-picryl-benzoyl) were studied in solvents with different physical and chemical properties. The visible electronic absorption band of 3-aryl-pyridazinium ylids is attributed to an electron charge transfer from the carbanion toward the heterocycle. The solvent effects on the visible electronic band of the studied ylids were described both by empirical parameters defined by Kosower and by using the theory of a dielectric homogeneous solution. Some remarks about the nature of the molecular interactions in the 3-aryl-phthalazinium-2,4,6-picryl-benzoyl methylid solutions are made in this paper on the basis of solvatochromic study. 相似文献
