Sugli insiemi di permutazioni strettamente k-transitivi (k ≥ 3)

Summary Let G be a sharply 3-transitive permutation set on a finite set E of even cardinality and let 1 be in G. The following theorems are proved. G is one of the known examples if and only if there exists a non-identity normal subgroup N of G and an element of E such that NG G.G is a group if and only if G for every G and for every G and for every G .By using the classification of finite single groups a result concerning sharply k-transitive permutation sets k>3 is also proved.

Ytterbium triflate-promoted tandem one-pot oxidation-Cannizzaro reaction of aryl methyl ketones

[reaction: see text] Ytterbium triflate was shown to be an effective catalyst in promoting the synthesis of either isopropyl esters or free alpha-hydroxy-arylacetic acids from substituted aromatic glyoxals and aryl methyl ketones, respectively. The reaction to provide acids starting from differently substituted ketones was carried out by an environmentally friendly method using an aqueous medium as a solvent and giving the adducts in 78-99% yield without any further purification after the usual workup.     

Isopropenyl acetate: A cheap and general acylating agent of alcohols under metal-free conditions

Functionalized primary, secondary and tertiary alcohols are efficiently acetylated by isopropenyl acetate and catalytic p-TsOH.     

Potassium Exchanged Layered Zirconium Phosphate as Base Catalyst for the Desilylation of Phenol Silyl Ethers

Layered zirconium hydrogen phosphonate exchanged with the potassium ion was found to be an efficient heterogeneous catalyst for the hydrolysis of sterically hindered phenolic silyl ethers.     

Modern Synthetic Strategies with Organoselenium Reagents: A Focus on Vinyl Selenones

In recent years, vinyl selenones were rediscovered as useful building blocks for new synthetic transformations. This review will highlight these advances in the field of multiple-bond-forming reactions, one-pot synthesis of carbo- and heterocycles, enantioselective construction of densely functionalized molecules, and total synthesis of natural products.     

Electromagnetic and weak transitions in light nuclei

Recent advances in the study of the p-d radiative and He weak capture processes by our group are presented and discussed. The trinucleon bound and scattering states have been obtained from variational calculations by expanding the corresponding wave functions in terms of correlated hyperspherical harmonic functions. The electromagnetic and weak transition currents include one- and two-body operators. The method of interpolating integral equations for quantum Fluids.—III

Summary A method for interpolating between the (F)HNC and (F)PY approaches in order to take into account elementary contributions has been presented in two preceding papers concerned with the properties of zero-temperature quantum fluids, described by short-range correlated wave functions. In the present paper, both for Bose and for Fermi systems, the technique is extended to the case in which the two-body radial distribution function contains a long-range tail, going asr ⁻⁴. The results obtained for the energy per particle and momentum distribution of liquid⁴He, polarized hydrogen and³He are presented in correspondence to variational wave functions containing only two-particle correlations.

Riassunto In due precedenti lavori è stata sviluppata una tecnica di interpolazione tra le approssimazioni (F)HNC e (F)PY per tenere conto dei cosiddetti contributi elementari nel calcolo delle proprietà dei fluidi quantistici a temperatura zero e descritti da funzioni d’onda con fattori di correlazione a corto raggio. Nel presente lavoro il metodo è esteso, per sistemi sia bosonici che fermionici, al caso in cui la funzione radiale di distribuzione contenga una coda con andamentor ⁻⁴. Sono presentati i risultati ottenuti per l’energia per particella e la distribuzione di quantità di moto dell’⁴He liquido, dell’idrogeno polarizzato e dell’³He liquido, in corrispondenza a funzioni d’onda variazionali contenenti solo correlazioni di coppia.

Резюме В двух предыдущих работах был предложен метод интерполяции между (F)HNC и (F)PY подходами. В этих работах рассматривались свойства квантовых жидкостей при нулевой температуре, которые описываются волновыми функциями с короткодействующими корреляциями. В данной работе, для Бозеи Ферми-систем, предложенная тенхика обобщается на случай, когда двух-частичная радиальная функция распределения содержит длиннодействующий хвост, который спадает какr ⁻⁴. Приводятся результаты для энергии на одну частицу и импульсное распределение для жидкого⁴He, поляризованного водорода и³H, причем соответствующие вариационные волновые функции содержат только двух-частичные корреляции.
