The present paper is aimed to the exploration of modulational amplification in transversely magnetised diffusive semiconductors. By considering that the origin of modulational interaction lies in the third-order optical susceptibility c(3)\chi^{(3)} arising from the nonlinear diffusion current density and using coupled mode theory, an analytical investigation of frequency modulational interaction between co-propagating laser beams and internally generated acoustic mode is presented. We have studied the steady state and transient amplification characteristics of modulated waves arising in the transversely magnetised semiconductor plasmas. The effect of carrier heating adds new dimensions to the present study. The heating effect reduces the required threshold amplitude of wave and enhances steady-state as well as transient gain of the generated acoustic mode.  相似文献

Organocatalytic Michael reaction of glutaraldehyde and 3-arylpropenal followed by the subsequent intramolecular aldol condensation provided 2-arylcyclohex-3-ene-1,3-dicarbaldehydes. Reactions with the 5-oxohexanal variant afforded the highly functionalized cyclohexenedicarbaldehydes in high diastereoselectivity and high enantioselectivity (>99% ee). The organocatalytic direct self-trimerization of acrolein, via cascade double-Michael and Mannich reactions, affording 5-methylenecyclohex-3-ene-1,3-dicarbaldehyde (1) is described. Synthetic application of the reaction was demonstrated by further transformations of 1 to montiporyne F.  相似文献

In communication processes, amplitude modulation is very helpful to save power using a single band transmission. Using the hydrodynamical model of semiconductor plasma analytical investigations are made for the amplitude modulation as well as demodulation of an electromagnetic wave incorporating carrier heating (CH) effects in acousto-optic magnetised semiconductor plasma. The CH effects add new dimensions in the present analysis. Analysis are made under different wave number regions over a wide range of cyclotron frequencies. It is found that incorporation of CH effects modifies the amplitude modulation and demodulation processes effectively. Numerical estimations are made for III–V semiconductor crystal irradiated by pump wave of frequency 1.6×1013 s?1. Complete absorption of the waves takes place in all the possible wavelength regimes when the cyclotron frequency ωc becomes nearly equal to ω0, the pump frequency on neglecting the collision term in modulation/ demodulation indices.  相似文献

While the terminally protected tripeptide Boc-Phe-Gly-m-ABA-OMe I (m-ABA, meta-amino benzoic acid) is an excellent gelator of aromatic organic solvents, another similar tripeptide Boc-Leu-Gly-m-ABA-OMe II, where the Phe residue of peptide I is replaced by Leu, cannot form gels with the same solvents. The morphology of the gels of peptide I, characterised by the field-emission scanning electron microscopy and high-resolution transmission electron microscopy, reveals the formation of nanofibrous networks which are known to encapsulate solvent molecules to form gels. The wide-angle X-ray scattering studies of the gels suggest the β-sheet-mediated self-assembly of peptide I in the formation of a nanofibrous network, where π-stacking interactions of Phe play an important role in the self-assembly and gel formation. The dried gel of peptide I observed between crossed polarisers after binding with a physiological dye, Congo red, shows a bluish-green birefringence, a characteristic of amyloid fibrils.  相似文献

The yields of various fission products in the 10 MeV bremsstrahlung-induced fission of 232Th, 238U and 240Pu were determined using a recoil catcher and off-line γ-ray spectrometric techniques. From the yield data, mass yield distributions were obtained using charge distribution corrections. The higher yields of fission products around mass numbers 133–135, 138–140, 143–145 and their complementary products in the neutron and bremsstrahlung-induced fission of 232Th, 238U and 240Pu were interpreted based on nuclear structure effects. From the mass yield distribution, the peak-to-valley (P/VP/V) ratio was also obtained for the above fissioning systems. The present data, along with data from the literature on different bremsstrahlung- and mono-energetic neutron-induced fissions of 232Th and 238U are interpreted to examine the influence of excitation energy on the peak to valley ratio. For the same compound nucleus 240Pu?, the data in the 10–30 MeV bremsstrahlung-induced fission of 240Pu were compared with similar data of thermal to 14 MeV neutron-induced fission of 239Pu and the spontaneous fission of 240Pu to examine the role of excitation energy due to bremsstrahlung radiation and mono-energetic neutrons.  相似文献
